Hi Jacob. We still need to do some work to support OAuth, which is needed to support SAML/ADFS. It is a bit early to say but I would say around February 2016 or so we should have a solid implementation.

The fix is available now. Update Connect to give it a try. Updates for the app in the Google Play and Apple app stores will be available in the next couple of hours. https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2015/09/24/world-vegetarian-day-october-1st-update

We are pleased to announce a new update to Survey123 for ArcGIS. It is time to refresh your Survey123 Connect (now build 1.1.18) and the mobile app (build 1.1.4). We are actually more pleased than ever, because with this update you will get a couple of features that many of you have been patiently waiting for: Cascading selects and Repeats! Cascading Selects: In a lot of forms you want to first let the user pick an option from a list, and then disclose another list of choices with values that are appropriate for the first selection. For example: Select first a province, and then filter the list of districts so only those within the selected province are shown. You could even add a third list showing the cities within that district. Cascading selects make it easier on people using your forms and help you ensure the logical consistency of data captured. If you would like to learn more about cascading selects, have a look at the XLSForm help. You will also find sample forms in there. Repeats: Sometimes you want to repeat a group of questions and that is when repeats are handy. Say for example you want to capture the name, age and gender of every person in a household. With this update we bring our first implementation of Repeats. Be aware that there are some limitations so make sure you read carefully the XLSForm help The above are interesting new features, but what follows is no less important: Browse Photos in your mobile device: You can now browse for photos while working with image type of questions in your form. In the past the user experience for browsing photos was not standard to what people expected in iOS and Android. This one goes to Joshua and Stephen. Minimal appearance for Select_Multiples: This one is for bowlesgsrcx and Simon and who wanted to apply minimal appearance to select_multiple questions. Check out what it looks like now: Report Location Accuracy: Chris suggested we report the location accuracy while working in the map. The app will show the location accuracy as reported by your device. If you are using an external Bluetooth enabled GNSS receiver you will get correct readings in Android devices. If using iOS, keep in mind that even if your external receiver gives you sub-meter accuracy, iOS will never report you a location accuracy reading better than 5 meters. Other fixes: A required constraint prohibits submit. If ain't relevant don't make it required. Blank option for multiple choice questions should be last or first. Full page image cannot be opened when field appearance changed. Overflowing text in selects with horizontal appearance. Is my survey loading? Give me a sign. Required signature, cant submit. The last two big ones with this update: Support for iOS9: We appreciate the quick feedback you provided on this one! We had issues with fonts in the Survey123 app but those have been resolved now. Support for Windows Phone 8 and 8.1: Starting today you can now download the Survey123 mobile app into your Windows Phone. This is our very first release in this platform so use with caution. We are now preparing for our next update which is due on November 1 st (National Bison Day)*. For this next update our focus will be on consolidating repeats and cascading selects. We will also carefully listen to your feature to help us prioritize our work. *If you wonder why the October 1 st update is released on September 24 just listen to Captain Barbossa: “the code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules. Welcome aboard the Black Pearl, Miss Turner!”

Hi Gary, thanks for your comment. Below is the design we have for the next update of Survey123 for ArcGIS. This is showing a select_multiple question with minimal appearance. We hope that this is what you are looking for. We will make this available very soon.

Hi Peter, thanks for your comments. We will try to address your enhancement request to report the accuracy in the mobile app in our next update. As for offline basemmap support, it is in our plans to implement. You are more than welcome to submit your comments in the Github repo for this issue: Off Line basemaps · Issue #114 · Esri/Survey123Community · GitHub Support for offline basemaps is tenatively planned for the December 1st update. [Updated September 1 2020] Please refer to this blog post for details: https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2020/08/07/survey123-tricks-of-the-trade-photos In short, you can use the multiline appearance on an image question to enable multiple photos on a single image question. Hi Tony, there are two approaches here that you can take: 1- Add multiple image questions in your form. Please note that Survey123 for ArcGIS will store your photos always as attachments, so technically no multiple fields are created in the feature service. I like this option the best because the photos get attached to your survey123 feature layer, making it very easy for you to look at your photos in web map popups. You can add as many image questions to a Survey as you like. 2- Use a repeat. You can add an image question within a repeat. Repeats are not my favorite approach, because photos are attached to a related table, making it very difficult to access the photos: you need ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap. However, with repeats you can let people take an unlimited number of photos. Looking at upcoming enhancements, we want to support capturing multiple photos with a repeat without pushing the attachments to a related table. This will get the bests of repeats (unlimited photos) and adding image questions to your survey. We are looking at adding this functionality in either the September or October updates. Ismael

You can use either one. If using survey123.arcgis.com there are fewer chances of making mistakes. If using ArcGIS.com you need to make sure that: Both the Feature Service and the Form item are shared with the Group AND The Form item is NOT shared with everyone

Hi, to use a survey all permissions you need are 'Edit Features' and 'Join Organizational Groups'. If you do not have these permissions you should not be able to log into the app. If you cannot see the survey in the app it is most likely because your survey is also shared with everyone. Make sure your survey is not public, and shared with a group to which you belong and the survey should pop in your app.

Thanks for sharing the form. I tested this in my account and I got the same error you get. I was only able to export the data to shapefile or CSV. I understand you want a file geodatabase so you can get the attachments as well. This is an issue in ArcGIS Online. I asked the ArcGIS Online team to have a look.

Hi Simo, in our next update (October 1st) we are planning to add support for XLSForm repeats. You can use a begin repeat and end repeat construct to take a group of questions and have them repeated in your form. Repeats will be modeled as related layers (tables and feature layers).
