Hi. try the following: In ArcGIS.com, login and go to 'My Contents' Look for the 'Survey-Daily_Vehicle_Checkout' folder and delete it In Connect, select the Survey Daily Vehicle Checkout so you can preview it Click on the yellow button (looks like a folder) to open your Survey's directory in a File Explorer Next delete the Daily_Vehicle_Checkout.iteminfo file Back in Connect, try Publishing again It looks like you may have deleted manually the Form and Feature Service from ArcGIS.com and left Connect and ArcGIS.com out of sync. Let me know if the above works for you.

Check the feature service and look to see if it contains any related tables. If so, check your script to see how your Python script is using them. The type of fields used for the relationship between this version and prior have changed. I suggest you start by debugging your Python script to see where it fails.

The REST API is a false lead I believe. What is your code doing? We did change things (not in the REST API) in regards with fields used for related tables. In previous versions, we were not using consistently GlobalIDs for relationships and attachments. With 1.4 changes were introduced there. This affected mostly workflows with ArcGIS for Desktop against Survey123 Feature Services, but it may have affected your code? What is your PDF export doing and how (if in any way) are you invoking the REST API?

I see... Nothing changed in there since a long time ago (October or November 2015 if I am not mistaken). That URL is used by all versions of Connect (including the old ones), so that piece remains pretty static (from a REST API perspective).

We were able to reproduce this behavior. We will add to the backlog for resolution. If this is absolutely critical for your workflow, please open a formal Esri Technical Support incident to be prioritized. Thanks a lot.

Hi. At the moment what you would like to do is not possible. You can only change the basemap (to your own or an esri basemap), but you cannot add additional layers on top of the basemap.

Hi, I imagine that your Python script is pointing to a Survey123 Feature Service, download some data and then creating the report in PDF format. If this is the case, absolutely nothing should have changed. Technically, we have not exposed any API in Survey123 for ArcGIS. Unless you mean the source code of the field app, which is available, but it does not seem like you are referring to the source code of the app itself. I am confused with your question. I am not sure what you mean by the Survey123 API. Ismael

Hi, we are working towards adding capabilities to both: Zoom-in while working in camera mode: To take detailed photos of things. Zoom-In to photos that may already have been taken: To validate that a photo taken has the desired level of detail. We may be able to get #1 released towards the end of the month (June 2016), but if not it will most likely be added in the next update after June 2016. We will also try to get #2 in an upcoming release. At this moment we are wrapping up our next update in June 20th. It is planned to include a lot of enhancements in the website at http://survey123.arcgis.com, fixes in Connect and the field app as well as some enhancements to the camera and potentially auto-suggest functionality. Around mid-July we will add a blog post describing the road map for the rest of 2016.

This blog post is all about using the relevant column in your XLSForm to help you control the visibility of questions in your survey. Mastering this is an important smart form design skill. A good smart form will never show end users a question unless it is necessary. The days where an endless collection of questions and data entry boxes are presented to the user should be over. The relevant column is present in the XLSForm survey worksheet and can optionally hold an expression. If the expression evaluates to true, the corresponding question will be shown. If the expression evaluates to false, it will be hidden. You can use data anywhere from your form as part of your expression, making your forms dynamically change based on the user's responses. Lets go first through some examples: Say you only want to ask a question if the response to a previous question is 'yes': type name label relevant select_one yes_no owner_present Is the house owner present? text owner_name Name: selected(${owner_name},'yes') Other relevant expressions may include: ${PreviousQuestion} < 18 int(${QuestionA})+ int(${QuestionB}) > 100 today() - ${LastInspectionDate} > 1000*60*60*24*15 (the last inspection happened more than 15 days ago) The expression syntax uses the XLSForm specification. To learn more about how to write your own expressions check the Formulas—Survey123 for ArcGIS | Documentation help topic. When using mathematical operators, one needs to be careful with empty responses. If a question has not been answered, it evaluates to 0. This would make for example ${PreviousQuestion} < 18 always return true, if ${PreviousQuestion} has not been answered. To resolve this issue, you can add your expression to an if block as follows: if (condition, a, b) If the condition is met, returns a, otherwise returns b. if(string-length(${PreviousQuestion}) = 0, false, ${PreviousQuestion} < 18) if(string-length(${LastInspectionDate})=0, false, today() - ${LastInspectionDate} > 1000*60*60*24*15) The safest way to check if a question has been answered is using string-length(${QuestionName}). If string-length returns 0, then you known the answer is empty. This function works well with question types of all sorts: with numbers, text, images, dates etc In some cases, you may want to use regular expressions (regex) For example, the following expression can be used with a note type of question. If the expression evaluates to true, the note is shown, otherwise it is hidden. type name label relevant text email Your e-mail note Type a correct e-mail regex(${Q2}, '[A-Za-z0-9._%+-]+@[A-Za-z0-9.-]+\.[A-Za-z]{2,4}') A special case when using relevant statements are select_multiple questions. For them, the count-selected and selected statements are very handy. In the example below, the 'Select other topping:' question only appears if the choice 'Other' has been selected from the list of toppings. The count-selected() function is used to display a 'Too many toppings' warning if more than 2 toppings have been selected. type name label relevant select_multiple toppings toppings Pizza toppings text top_other Other topping: selected(${toppings},'Other') note Too many toppings! count-selected(${toppings})>2 To learn more about select_multiple questions, have a look https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2017/08/30/understanding-multiple-choice-questions-in-survey123-for-arcgis Relevant expressions can be applied to many different types of questions: select_one, integer, text, image, barcode, repeat etc. You can also apply them to notes as well as to Groups and Repeats. Groups are of particular importance because a relevant statement applied to a Group will have effect over all questions within that Group. If you have three or four questions to which you want to apply exactly the same relevant expression, you may want to consider creating a Group and apply the expression only to the Group. This will make your Survey load faster because you will be reducing the number of times the expression needs to be evaluated. Another aspect to keep in mind is the effect relevant statements have on submit. If a question is not relevant (it is hidden), then data in that question will not be submitted to ArcGIS. To learn more, check out the video tutorial below!

Hi Stephanie, thanks for your input. While the user of the field app can see the location accuracy as reported by the device, and the author of the Survey can force the accuracy_threshold parameter, it is not possible at this moment to persist the actual position accuracy of the location captured. The new ArcGIS Ideas site was released today, so I went ahead and give it a go: https://community.esri.com/ideas/12080 Please add your comments and vote/unvote as you see fit! Thanks, Ismael

Hi Jason. To save you some research time I wanted to let you know that calculations will not help you rename photos from the Survey123 app. The best we can do at the moment is to let you manually change the name of the photo right from the app.

I would not expect any changes in how Instance_Name is handled. Could you please share your XLSfile so we can have a look? If you do not want to attach the XLS file in this forum, you can also open an Esri Technical Support incident and we will get your file that way. Along with the XLS file, we will also need an example of data used to complete the Survey so we can reproduce exactly your case. Thanks.

Hi Chelsea Krause, thanks a lot for your feedback. With the latest update to Survey123 Connect for ArcGIS, your feature service will not be deleted and re-created again unless absolutely necessary. Check this help topic to understand when your feature service will be re-created: Publish your survey—Survey123 for ArcGIS (Beta) | ArcGIS To download the latest version of Connect, go to this page: Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS I double checked and made sure that with this new version (1.4) the sharing of your feature service and Survey will remain untouched when you publish again your Survey. The only exception is when you make changes in your Survey that force the feature service to be re-created. You will get a warning in these cases. Remember to reset the sharing when that happens. The
