Hi. Adrian is correct in that with the current version of Survey123 it is not possible to display in a map all surveys sent. This could lead into folks submitting information twice. At the moment, all sent surveys are shown in the Sent folder and users can look at surveys in this folder using a List view. We are however, working towards adding a Map view to the Sent folder. In fact, we want to add map views into all folders (Drafts, Outbox, Sent...). This would allow field users to quickly see all information sent, in the works etc. Surveys in the map view will be labeled using the Instance Name so they can be easily identified. The Instance Name is also used to uniquely identify surveys in the List view. Above I included a video recording showing how things work using an early copy of Survey123 for ArcGIS v 2.0. We will make 2.0 available in Beta in next few days so you can give this a try and provide feedback. We will announce the Beta through this GeoNet Group. Stay tuned!

Hi Eric. I would recommend you have a look at the Create hosted feature layer views—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS help topic. You should be able to create a new Hosted Feature Layer View for anonymous users on which all editing capabilties will be disabled. Survey123 would continue using the Feature Service with different security settings (to enable Adds, Updates, or Adds&Updates).

A quick update on this: In ArcGIS Online, you can now disable updates and deletes on feature services. This allows you to configure the security of your survey so people can only add new records. This may be useful for you. All these security settings are changed in the Feature Service or Hosted Feature Service View Page Details.

Correct. Groups are used to logically organize questions within a survey. They are typically used for cosmetic reasons. Although Repeats somewhat look like a Group, they are a different thing, as they allow you to capture data for every question in the repeat again and again. Once you submit the data, you will be able to access information within the repeat through the related records. In the web map below, for example, we have a point layer with water stations and a related table for every water quality sample taken at that station. In Survey123, the water sample was modeled as a repeat. Note that in the feature popup in the screenshot below, there is a link at the bottom that lets you open the 'Related Records'... that is how you access information from a repeat.

A repeat is useful when you want a set of questions to be repeated within a form. Say for example you are creating a survey for an invasive species inventory. You will want to add general questions to capture the date of the inventory, the plot number, location etc. A repeat will help you capture information about the invasive species detected and their coverage. Survey123 repeats are modeled as related tables in ArcGIS. In the example above, the resulting feature service will include a main point layer for your plots (with attributes for the plot number, date of inventory etc) plus a table related to the plot layer where information about invasive species will be captured (their scientific name, cover etc). To learn more about repeats I suggest you read Repeats—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS help topic in our help. If you want to have a quick look at a survey with a repeat, do the following: In Survey123 Connect, select New Survey and pick the Community category, then select the Polio survey.

Hi slaird, try the following: 1) Login to arcgis.com using the same account you used to publish your public survey 2) Go into My Content and open the folder of your public survey 3) If you created your survey using the web designer at survey123.arcgis.com, then open the details page of your survey's hosted feature layer view (the one with the fieldworker suffix). If you created your survey using Survey123 Connect, then open the details page of your survey's feature layer. 4) Once in the Details page of the feature layer, go to the settings tab and scroll down to the editing section. Check the option to prevent editors from being able to look at features as shown below. Note: As the owner of the survey, you will still be able to see everything. You can also use the Collaborate option in the survey123.arcgis.com web site to share the survey (and data) with other Groups.

Hi, this error happens when Survey123 Connect for ArcGIS is trying to use the Survey123 REST API. Please ensure first that the computer running Survey123 Connect is connected to the internet. According to the Troubleshoot—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS help topic, this problem may be caused by old versions of Survey123 Connect. You can find the latest version through the download page at Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS At the time when this response is written, the latest released version is 1.10 In case that you are already running the latest version, I would recommend the following. First, ensure that the URL of the Survey123 REST API in Connect is https://survey123.arcgis.com/api You can do this by clicking on the Settings button in the lower-left corner of Connect. If a different URL is present in that dialog, make sure you set it to https://survey123.arcgis.com/api and try again. If the REST API is as shown in the screenshot below and you still get the error, the next I would do is to copy the Survey123 REST API URL into a web browser and make sure that the URL is reachable from your computer. If everything is OK, your browser should show this message: {"errorCode":100,"errorMessage":"service missing"} Do not worry if you read errorCode: 1000, as this is actually what you would expect when you hit this URL. If you see something different then contact your network administrator as this URL for some reason may be blocked within your network.

I interpret that you want to take the Latitude/Longitude values from a geopoint question and calculate the corresponding XY values in a particular OS National Grid Reference. If that is the case, I would say the answer is no. The expressions you can use in XLSForms are not meant to support this type of calculations. I would recommend that you do the conversion in ArcGIS Desktop as a post-processing step. Thehttps://community.esri.com/ideas/12624 idea may somewhat fit your needs (admittedly, two different things). Have a look at the idea in case that you want to vote for it or add some comments for consideration. Thanks a lot!

Hi Zoltan. The upgrade option is being still worked out. An update to Tile Package Kreator will be made available in the next few days. We hope to get the upgrade option straight soon, although a fix to the upgrade tool may come in other upcoming releases.
