Sorry for the delayed reply on my part, I was out of connectivity for most of last week. After returning I tried syncing those records again, and they went up to the cloud, but the question remains why they would not sync for several days? I checked the .sqlite database size on one of the phones with the problem and it was 972 KB, does that sound problematic? Thanks, Patrick

Hi Phil, I'll have to check the .sqlite database size in the morning, but I'm using version 3.5.164. I have 5 forms on two devices that developed the problem at the same time. I don't use the Inbox... tried it out and didn't find it useful for me. Thanks for chiming in, I'll look in to the .sqlite database size in the morning and get back to you. Patrick

I'm unable to upload records from several forms due to a Send Error that states: the database has reached its size quota. I've deleted a few old, unused forms, but this did not help. I don't seem to be able to delete some unused hosted feature layers, even though I removed delete protection from them. Anyone else having this problem or know how to remedy?

I have several group and repeat sections within a form and have them set to compact so the user can access whatever portion of the form they need quickly and efficiently. Opening the group is easy, but there should be the option to close that group when you get to the bottom of it without having to scroll up again to find the arrow. For the repeats, when the user chooses to add a repeat there should be an option for that to automatically take the user back up to the beginning of the repeat so they don't have to scroll up to find where it begins. This would be very useful for longer repeats.

Hi James, The data is being lost before we have a chance to send the survey (out in the field in airplane mode). If we enter repeat data and Save as a Draft after each repeat record is entered, then it does not seem to occur, but that adds quite a few steps to data entry. On the occasions that this has occurred, it appears the application has crashed -- the user wakes the phone from screen off mode and Survey123 has to be re-opened, and some of the most recently entered repeat records are completely missing. Hope that makes sense.

We've had some instances of unexplained data loss from repeat sections of two different forms. We're running Survey123 on iPhone 5c, and are usually in airplane mode while in the field to extend battery life. The data losses have occurred while we are entering repeat records every few to several minutes apart, sometimes turning off the iPhone screen to save battery life, sometimes it goes to sleep on its own. For example, the other day we were entering weights and measures of newts in our Apex form. We had entered 11 repeat records and went into Survey123 to enter another repeat and only the first 7 records were there. It has also happened with the repeats of another form (see below). It doesn't seem to be gross user error, and I can't figure out what in the forms' structures would cause this to happen infrequently. Any helpful advice appreciated! Thanks, Patrick

Looks like my organization has chosen to disable sharing with everyone. I followed your instructions to enable sharing through the "My Content" page, and the choice for Everyone (public) was not there. Drat. Thanks for pointing out where the hangup is though.

I've had good success creating and deploying forms to collect field biology data to groups of invited users (employees), but I'm having trouble making some of my forms publicly available so that people outside my work group can contribute data. I've followed the blog posts, checked the Everyone (Public) box and saved the changes, but when I go back in, the box has become unchecked (see attached photos). I'm sure I'm missing some simple step; please help me find it! Thanks, Patrick

Thank you James and Ismael for the instantaneous responses! Your replies will be very helpful if this occurs again in the future. I will have people collecting data offline for days in the backcountry this summer, and the thought of something similar happening gave me a twinge of concern, but I think having automatic updates off and this option to fix the database should take care of it. I have an employee that completed two surveys offline, and when she brought her device out of airplane mode to upload the surveys the Survey123 app updated with this critical update and her surveys were wiped. Folks who collect data offline might want to turn off the option for automatic updates so that this doesn't happen to them too.
