Hi Chris. Create a custom locator item pointing to http://geocode.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World/GeocodeServer Make sure that you embed the credentials. Share the locator item created in previous step with Everyone Next, create a Locator View with your map extent as a constraint and share with Everyone. Set Locator View created in 3 as your default locator in the ArcGIS Online org. Survey123 should now use your Locator View by default. Thanks, Ismael

Hi, this is possible today by leveraging Locator Service Views. The Geosearch control in Survey123 uses by default the locators defined in your ArcGIS Organization. You can configure the default locator in your organization to include a filter using a geographic extent. This is accomplished using Locator Views. The function substr could be of help for this. For example: substr(${questionABC}, 4, 6) For more info on XLSForm functions refer to: Quick reference—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS

The source code of Survey123 is included with AppStudio for ArcGIS. Have a look at https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2018/04/29/customizing-survey123-part-1-white-labeling to get started. This video may also help.

Hi Rory, thanks for taking the time to create a test survey and reporting this. This is in fact a BUG in version 3.0 and it is planned to be fixed in 3.1 (planned to be made available in the first half of November). We apologize for the inconvenience. For clarity, the issue is that the first entry in a repeat using repeat_count will show blank when open from the Inbox or Outbox. There is really no data loss, but the record shows blank and that is not correct and gives the feeling that data is being lost. As a temporary workaround, this behavior can be eliminated by removing the values you have in the repeat_count column. This issue has been resolved in our latest builds, which are available in the Survey123 Early Adopter Program. If you would like to confirm the fix using your real survey please feel free to join the Early Adopter Program for Survey123 and give the Beta build a go. The 3.1 release is planned to be made available in the first half of November, pending certification testing.

Hi, one approach you can take is to set the esri:fieldType column to null, as shown in the screenshot below. questions tagged with null in the field type are kept in your form, but do not have a corresponding field in the feature layer. For this reason, you can add as many geopoints as you like to the form. Using calculations you can persist the XY values in separate fields. The limitation here is more about how many SHAPE fields you can have in an ArcGIS layer (the limit is one). I am also attaching the XLSFile.

Hi Shane. If you would like to change styling on Web Forms, you may want to wait a bit until our 3.1 release, where we plan to add support for custom themes. If you would like to test this functionality please send a request to test this feature before release by emailing [email protected]

Hi. If you want to publish a survey on top of an existing feature layer, you need to use Survey123 Connect. Have a look at https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2017/09/25/working-with-existing-feature-services-in-survey123-for-arcgis for the details. For the quick answer see the screenshot below:

Hi Brian. On #1: This looks like a BUG. Thanks for reporting this. I just validated that the bold html tags are ignored in the webform (but they should not). On #2:I cannot reproduce the problem. What browser are you using? Also, are you familiar with the or_other shortcut? If you set the question type to select_one PlantingOrganization or_other, then Survey123 will automatically add a new text question when you select other. On #3: Hmmm... Lets ask Zhifang Wang

Hi Channel. The error you are getting has no connection with the coordinate format change you applied. You may want to open a new thread on that specific error (and provide a copy of your XLSForm in the thread for further investigation).
