James, I tried to publish a new survey yesterday and received the attached error. It appears to be very similar to this thread. I went to the ArcGIS Server Admin REST endpoint and stopped then started the PublishingToolsEx and the Publishing Tools geoprocessing service. Portal 10.6 Survey123 Connect 3.2.196 No start or end questions in survey Thanks, --gary

James, Attached is a grab of the JSON view of the REST endpoint for the feature service. My reading of it (see highlight) shows that the GlobalID field index is set yo unique but i do not see an index for the objectid field. I have tested this survey and it does indeed create duplicate objectid and globalid when editing an existing record via the Sent Box. Advice? Thanks, --gary

James, Did not find UNIQUE keyword (see attached). After talking to our field data collectors and reviewing the data, we think that the issue was caused by the users going into the Sent box and using the Edit and resend survey option (changing the inspection date and other inspected values in the original survey) as a means to create a new survey. We queried the datastore from SQL and found the original survey that was completed 3 months prior and the "new" survey and both had the same objectid and GlobalID. Only the "new" survey is transferred to our SDE database via daily python script. We assume that this something in PostgreSQL akin to versioning in SDE. Is this the expected behavior of the Edit and resend survey option in the Sent box? Thanks, --gary

We recently ran a year end report for quarterly Inspection data collected using Survey123. Several of the inspections did not show up in the year end report. When we reviewed the quarterly reports, the data had appeared in those. A little digging led to finding that some of the objectid values have been duplicated in the hosted feature service. I am assuming this is why only one of the records is showing in our year end query and not all of them. I have attached a screen grab of a sql query to the datastore with the results. Any idea how this can happen, and what is the fix? Thanks, --gary

I am trying to run the Survey123 Field App (3.1.158) on a windows 7 machine. When i open S123, nothing happens when i click on a survey on the My Surveys page. I can login to Portal, download surveys, click on the bars in the upper right corner, go into settings, etc. but when i try to open a survey i get nothing. I have also tried installing and running the Classic Survey123 but get the same results. Thanks, --gary

We ran into the issue of attachments not loading into new SDE datasets that we created to deal with 3D data. We developed a work-around for this that was fairly complex but it worked. I have attached a powerpoint from a presentation i gave about this. If you want more info, or need some clarification email me and we can see if this will work for you. There may need to be some modifications made for the repeat tables but I think it should work. good luck, --gary

I understand that the GUID is to prevent overwriting previous surveys, but how can you differentiate the GUID based survey vs. the named survey in connect? They both have the same name. --gary Gary H. Bowles, GISP GIS Database Administrator | Seneca Resources Office : 412-548-2544 | Cell Phone: 412-334-5273

James, But then I wind up with a My Survey Design folder looking like the attachment and having duplicate surveys showing up in Connect. Which one is then the authoritative one if I need to update again in the future? What happens if I delete the GUID-like folders? Thanks, --gary Gary H. James, I have had this happen when i use a different computer from the original one that the surveys were created on. When i open connect and attempt to update an existing survey, i get a message that the survey is not on this computer would i like to download it. This is when the GUID-type names are created. --gary
