Hi QuickCapture community, I published a feature layer for use with Field Maps that includes the ability to attach a photo. This map works well in Field Maps, allowing a photo to be attached to a polygon. The problem is that when I created a QuickCapture map version, the option to attach a photo is absent from the Data design tab, so polygons can be mapped but no option for photos. Step 16 in these instructions does not appear on the button data design tab https://doc.arcgis.com/en/quickcapture/help/exercisefromscratch.htm Any clues to what I have missed?

Running Field Maps app 20.2.0 Build 271 on a Samsung S20+ with Android 11. Field Maps mysteriously sometimes logs itself out between usage. You can of course log back in, but this can catch you out if you start the day in a remote area with no data reception. Seems like a bug that could be easily fixed. Does anyone have the link for reporting a bug?

Hi Jeff, best to locate automatically on maps you can edit. Also this legacy bug from Collector on Android has shown up on Field Maps.

Hi Jeff, a legacy bug from Collector on Android is also on Field Maps. 'Untrusted host'. See attached. Only fix is back key on phone or use offline maps. Please fix asap.

On Android 10, you have to select the GPS button to get an updated location. On Collector app as soon as you open the app it snaps to the current location. Not a huge issue but would be good to fix.

Check you also selected enable off line toggle in the Field Maps beta viewer accessed via the ArcGIS on-line menu icon (the one with the 3 X 3 dots).

I am running Field Maps side by side with ArcGIS Collector - both on-line and off-line, on IOS and Android (to double check no issues). We have approx. 60 field staff sharing the same feature layer - so good to have a new release that is reliable, thank you. Our plan is to switch over from ArcGIS Collector app to Field Maps app at the start of our next financial year, 1st July 2021.

Android ArcGIS Collector app had an update today to version 20.2.2 Build 2960. Hopefully this will resolve the untrusted host issue and the other problem of intermittent logging out. Allan Bendall‌ Brett Howland‌ Miaogeng Zhang‌

Unfortunately does not work because Android 10 does not permit the installation. This needs to be fixed within the app. Pretty sure it is related to ArcGIS Collector app logging users out intermittently. This was also an issue when ArcGIS Collector app was first launched for Apple devices - and it was fixed in an update. A fair while ago now.

A related issue when the untrusted error happens: some staff also get logged out of ArcGIS Collector app. This is what happened when the same untrusted host bug was an issue on Apple devices - fixed ages ago by ESRI. The same bug used to occur on the Apple version of the new Collector app, when it was first released. An update fixed it so someone in Esri knows how to fix this bug. Maybe a solution is that ESRI staff start using Collector app in the field on daily basis, on-line and off-line. In this way there is more likelihood that they will see these intermittent bugs.

Yes - we are getting the same problem occasionally as well on Android only. Our GIS officer tried raising it with @Esri help desk as a bug but was told it was a problem with the Android system, which is not a helpful answer. It is clearly a bug with ArcGIS Collector app on Android. Happens on the latest phones and latest Android system as well. Yes issue has remerged for some of our Android phone users. ArcGIS Collector app 20.2.1 on Android 10. I have asked ACT Government GIS staff to lodge it with esri as an urgent job. Good idea if you lodge a complaint too via esri's helpline.

Three ways to deal with. 1) Ignore it by flicking out app and reopen app 2) If 1) does not work uninstall and reinstall app. 3) If still an issue set up off line maps and use off line Just tested two devices and could not get the error, but I do understand it is one of those intermittent issues.

Thanks Eric Pescatore for the update. Glad it is officially recognised as a bug. Derek Law‌ Colin Lawrence‌ Our GIS officer is waiting to hear back about their bug report but I imagine the esri officer they are dealing with will know about the bug too by now.
