We need a 3D measurement tool that allows users to calculate volume on any surface - tin/raster/dem/scene layer/point cloud/3d feature layer. This is functionality that many competitor cloud hosted 3d offerings have, and it is difficult to convince our staff to hand their data to us to put into portal if they can't have this.

This exact thing happened to me just now. The data got corrupted by using the ArcGIS Online rebuild spatial indexes tool. 😞 I don't see why you can't rebuild the data, add it to the map and have ops dashboard pick up the same layers. But I guess it looks for item ids and these change when the layer is republished.

At the bottom of the linked blog post in the “on the horizons” section: Support for contingent values in Runtime – We plan to expose contingent values through Runtime in a future release so that Runtime clients can read and open datasets with contingent values and expose them, paving the way for expanded usage in editor apps beyond ArcGIS Pro.

As per this ArcGIS Idea here: https://community.esri.com/ideas/15753-attachment-photo-viewer-widget-in-web-appbuilder Please add a widget that lets you scroll through attachments for a featureclass. Similar to the details widget in Operations dashboard or the one trick attachment viewer templated app. Thanks! Marc

The problem with these template apps is they are one trick ponies. The good thing about WAB is it lets you combine different pieces of functionality together. perhaps the new "Experience Builder" will have this functionality eventually: https://www.esri.com/en-us/arcgis/products/arcgis-experience-builder/overview

Hi there, We have an ArcGIS Server install that accesses feature classes in our enterprise geodatabase using a windows domain account. The account is explicitly given permissions on feature classes using ArcCatalog. The db is registered as a data store in Server Manager using an OS authenticated connection. We also have a data owner account with its own schema and an SDE user/schema as per normal. I am encountering an issue when trying to publish services (and edit in a web app) that use a database sequence to generate a unique ID as per https://community.esri.com/thread/220462-using-unique-id-using-attribute-rules I create the database sequence using the GIS data owner, but this is not immediately available to the ArcGIS Server user. There doesn't appear to be a way to give the ArcGIS Server user permissions on it in Arc-anything. When I try and edit the service with the attribute rule the edits fail with an error saying the db sequence could not be found. I have tried to give read permissions on the sequence to the ArcGIS Server user in SQL server manager, but this doesn't seem to help. Maybe I am doing it wrong. If I register a connection to the db in ArcGIS Server manager using the gis data owner account and publish the service using that connection then everything works as I would expect, the edits work and the ID is automatically incremented. so, tldr: do we have to publish services with attribute rules that use sequences from a data owner connection, and if not, how do we give the ArcGIS Server user the correct permissions on the sequence so the attribute rule works? Thanks, Marc

This looks useful. It will be more useful when it is available in Collector, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.

This idea is for Esri to create a widget in web appbuilder with this functionality, not for the OP to do so. is this on the roadmap for the WAB team?

Hi Robert, I don't suppose you have any interest in extending your above example to apply edits to a feature service? Kind regards, Marc

Idea is here: https://community.esri.com/ideas/15106-using-reconcile-post-with-subset-data I have voted up as well. This is also useful for complex workflows such as the one in this blog post:https://community.esri.com/ideas/12994-approval-step-for-online-edits

Hi, It would be super-helpful when importing a new Portal license to have a popup that compares the contents of the new license with the existing named users. Instead of this: How about this: or something. Cheers, Marc

Actually - cultureFormat didn't appear to be available from the python api, only culture. Anyways, you can update the org culture/cultureFormat through the portal sharing page: https://portal/webadaptor/portal/sharing/rest/portals/0123456789ABCDEF and this is inherited by all members of the org that have not explicitly set it in their profiles. it's also in the org settings page Unfortunately this doesn't have the effect I was hoping for. I was hoping that it would update the default date time format across the portal to dd/mm/yyy rather than the us mm/dd/yyy as per this: https://community.esri.com/ideas/13555-date-field-default-display-setting-across-agol-organisation I just noticed the documentation states this: If the language in your profile is set to English or Spanish, you can change the way numbers and dates are displayed in the ArcGIS Enterprise portal. but then goes on to say: The Number and date format setting is not reflected in the date values displayed in attribute tables, map labels, or animation time slices, or when viewing pop-ups. So what's the point? Where is it reflected?
