I used the Strip Map Index Feature tool to create a feature for my streets feature class in a map series. It created the index feature for all the streets but the issue I have is not every page in the map series is showing the street polyline feature. Why is this? I am having a problem with labels appearing on pages in my map series. I set the labeling in map view and generated the map series in layout view. The series has 675 pages. Some of the labels show up on some pages and on other pages they do not show up. Is there a setting that has to be set for the labels to show up on all the pages? ... View more

Hi all, I was tasked with making a street walking map for over 700 streets and thought the best way to accomplish this would be to use Grid Index Features to create a map series with each street being a cell in the grid for the map series. Is there a way to insert a place holder on a sheet in a map series? I have a line symbol which represents a canal and would am trying to show the width of the canal in certain locations along the canal. Since the line runs a long distance, I created an index layer for a map series to show the line at different locations. The only way I could think to show the width of the line in the map series is by adding text to the pages in the map series. However, the text doesn't save to where I put it. As soon as I move to the next page, the text stays in the same spot I put it in the previous page. I am assuming this is bc it is just plain text and not part of the layer. Is there another way you can add text to a page in a map series where it is specific to that page? ... View more
