Hola DC, I would encourage you to visit the Ideas Site and post this as an idea. The Ideas site is an online community of users who post enhancement ideas for our software. Other users in the community read the ideas and then choose to either promote or demote the idea. If an idea is viable and gains enough support in the community, development will take it into consideration for implementation. It is definitely the user's fastest track to development, as it is constantly monitored by development. Gracias, DC! ArcGIS Ideas http://ideas.arcgis.com/ideaHome?c=09a300000004xET

Hola Mark, In reviewing the screen shots provided, I would say the reason the Sketch tool is initially available. Is since you have a feature polygon selected, and within the second screen shot it is not. This is why the Sketch tool within the second screen shot is not available to use. Gracias, Mark!

Hola Valerie, I would suggest the following items to see if they help??s resolve the issue for you. Please let us know if the issue persist, and if you are current with your maintenance, you are welcome to log a webform with us. Gracias, Valerie! Suggestions: 1. Open a new mxd and add the layer 2. Then walk through the same work flow 3. If the issue persist, I would run the Check and Repair Geometry on the layer 4. Then walk through the same work flow again. Check Geometry (Data Management) http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#//001700000034000000 Then run the next tool Repair Geometry (Data Management) http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#/Repair_Geometry/00170000003v000000/ Support Service 1-888-377-4575 http://support.esri.com/en/webform/s...275/chat/false

Hola David, Currently ArcGIS ArcGIS for Windows Mobile does not yet support related tables. Time table for future support of related table, is still undetermined by development, but I am including a place where this has been suggested. You are able to promote this suggestion, from the ArcGIS Ideas site provided below. Gracias, David! The ArcGIS Mobile should support table relationships http://ideas.arcgis.com/ideaView?id=0873000000086uU&returnUrl=%2Fapex%2FideaList%3Fc%3D09a300000004xET%26category%3DArcGIS%2BMobile

Hola Kate, I looked into this error message and most of the items returned were Server related, and I did not read anything from you using Server. If you are simply looking to create a feature class in a database, this should be straight forward for you and would result in a local database. I was wondering if anyone else is seeing this error or are you the only one seeing this error message. If you are the only person seeing this error and not anyone else, this could be profile related and I would have someone else log into your machine with their credentials. If you are current with your maintenance and would like to submit a webform, I would love to work with you directly in order to resolve this issue seen. Gracias, Kate! Hola Don, In looking into this for you, the format of a .bmp is created when you export the pmf file out. The actual work flow after you have marked up the pmf file within ArcReader is to use the ??Export Markup? option from within ArcReader??s toolbar. This will send the file out to a PMFINKX, which you are able to import it into ArcMap and view it there. Please let us know if you have any further questions or issues. Gracias, Don! Using Export markup Steps: 1. Click Export markup to create a markup file (.pmfinkx) containing all the markups in the active view. 2. Choose the output location for the file along with a name and unique string. Tip: 1. The active view is the layout view or active data frame. 2. When the markup file is imported into ArcMap, the ArcMap user will see the string listed on the Publisher toolbar. Hola Jenn, I just tested this within 10.1 with about 4 or 5 layers, using two different scenarios and the batch option for the ??Add Field? tool worked without any issues. If you are current with your maintenance and want to submit an incident with us, I would be happy to work with you on this issue. Gracias, Jenn! Hola Sam, I wanted to see if you have looked into one of our extensions, the Data Interoperability extension tool. This extension has only two tools within it, the Quick Import and Quick Export. You are able to download it for a 60 day trial, this allows you to convert all aspects of a coverage into and from a Geodatabase, which should include the "Arcs" which is what you are looking for. Please let us know if you have any further questions or issues. Gracias, Sam! Hola Duncan, In looking into a few possible options and tools, you are correct where having the option of the length/width return for a existing polygon, does not seem to be a current option or a tool. I was able to locate a few tools but they also determine the length/width but for a new polygon ad not a existing one. If this is a option you are looking to have, please post this on our Ideas site and look to have other promote it. Gracias, Duncan! ArcGIS Ideas http://ideas.arcgis.com/

Hola Alex, In looking into this issue you are describing for you, I was able to locate where this has been submitted to our developers as a "Equivalency" bug to have this option added back the geoprocessing toolbox. I was also able to locate a possible work around, where this has worked for some of our users and it's current status for you. Please let us know if you have any further questions or issues. Gracias, Alex! [NIM060864 CAD to Geodatabase does not allow users to explode complex objects during the import process, attributes cannot be associated with the correct features] Suggested Work around: The attached "importcad_931.tbx" (zip file) includes a model that runs the deprecated Import from CAD tool from 9.3.1 at version 10. This model will allow the user to explode complex objects (blocks from AutoCAD, CELLs from Microstation) to extract the features they contain and expose their attributes so the attribute tables can be joined to the feature classes in the output geodatabase. This workaround also allows access to Xdata from AutoCAD. Status: Assigned - The Nimbus bug/enhancement has been imported into StarTeam and assigned to a Development lead. The Development lead is accountable for the issue. Track Status: My Support: http://support.esri.com/en/

Hola Arif, It sounds like you have already converted the individual layers from CAD to shapefiles. At this point as long as you having a shapefile per layer from CAD (points, lines, polygons etc.) you are ready to edit the data to make updates and changes. If you are looking to have symbols for each of these leayers, you can keep your data as shapefiles or convert them over into a geodatabase environment. In either data format, you are able to symbolize your data and then create layer files. This way all you have to do is add in the layer file into a map, which points back to your source data. I hope this helps with what you are looking for, if not and you are current with your maintenance, please log a webform and we will be happy to work with you. Gracias, Arif! Hola Manuel, In reviewing the Word document you provided and going through your posting. I would suggest for you to double click the line of interest, this will reflect the certices. At the location where you want to split your line, you want to hover over the line or vertice, and then use the Split Line tool. This will split the line at that location, and then you can delete the line not needed. Please let us know if you have any further issues. Gracias, Manuel!

Hola Sandy, If you see further issues, please let me know and we can look into other possible suggestions. I always like to place these items on the server (network location) where everyone else can open the pmf. This has always seems to work for users with an Intranet system within their organizations, and to always centralize everything. Please let us know if this helps or you are still encountering the same issues. Gracias, Sandy!
