Hola Lane, I would say yes to your question, simply because you are coming out of one version of ArcGIS Mobile. You are then attempting to come back into a different version of ArcGIS Mobile, this is not suggested work flow. If you have already upgraded and not able to uninstall/re-install the old version of ArcGIS Mobile (2550) and have data in the mobile cache. I am including a product which will extract the data from the mobile cache, to shapefile format. Gracias, Lane! Hola Mustafa, I am assuming you are attempting to do this within ArcMap, simply because ArcReader is that, a viewer of your published data. If you are looking to do this within ArcMap, I am including a technical article, which walks you through the work flow. Gracias, Mustafa! Carl, Have you looked to upgrading overall to the latest version of ArcMap (10.1) with the latest of ArcReader. If you have upgraded to the latest version, are you still seeing the same issue with the layers. Gracias, Carl! ESRI Customer Care Portal https://customers.esri.com/index.cfm?event=login.show

Hola Elsa, Yes, I was in thinking and researching for you with using Windows Mobile and not a Windows Embedded Handheld, since this is what we mainly work with within support and work with. You are correct then in your initial suspect, at least in the research I have done, unless someone from Trimble posts some alternative for you. Buena Suerte, Gracias Elsa!

Kirby, Out of the box with ArcPad and no customization, I was able to use the following version(s) and work flow. I was able to hide field names and use the field??s alias display within ArcPad after the data was checked out. Gracias, Kirby! Within ArcPad 8 & 10, ArcMap 9.3.1 & 10.0.4 this is possible with the following work flow. -Data set (shapefile or feature class from .mdb or .fgdb) -Check out creating an .axf file for all above data formats

Hola, I have been reviewing Trimble??s website regarding your questions. I was able to locate where GPSCorrect 3.10 should work for the version of ArcPad and version of Windows Mobile. I am including the version and section from Trimble??s site where they document this. Gracias! Buena Suerta! Trimble??s GPScorrect version 3.10 GPScorrect version 3.10 requires ArcPad version 7.1 or later. GPScorrect version 3.10 does not support earlier versions of ArcPad. ArcPad must be installed onto your PC or Windows Mobile device before you install the v3.10 GPScorrect extension. A GPScorrect extension installation code can only be activated on one Windows Mobile (version 5.0 or 6) powered device at a time. http://www.trimble.com/gpscorrect_ts.asp?Nav=Collection-7306

Hola Duccio, I wanted to let you know currently there is not option or tool from within ArcReader, which would incorporate Data Driven Pages from within ArcReader. This would be because ArcReader is designed to be a viewer of published/packaged data, and not have direct connection with multiple views from within the layout. I would suggest posting this on our Ideas site, I was able to locate a posted suggestion and this site is visited quit often by our developers. Gracias, Duccio! Hola Ben, In looking into this issue for you, at the moment there is no current option to rename the photo at the moment when taking them. The only option is to rename the pre-fix of the photo from within ArcPad Options. I would post this on our suggestions page, unless you would like to submit a webform being current on your maintenance. Gracias Ben! Hola Hunter, I would suggest verifying you are working with the latest version of ArcPad both on the desktop/mobile device (10.0.4) if within ArcPad 10. If not I would download the latest from the ESRI Customer Care Portal if working within ArcPad 10. Unless you are on a previous version, then I would download and install the latest and most up to data service pack for that version of ArcPad. After you have installed the latest version for ArcPad, which you are working with, I would see if this occurs on the desktop, since you are seeing this on the device. If you are able to reproduce the issue on the desktop, I would say this was just a bad install. Gracias, Hunter! Hola ArcReader User, I wanted to let you know currently there is not option or tool from within ArcReader, which would allow you to determine the azimuth for a dataset. This would be because ArcReader is designed to be a viewer of published/packaged data, and not intended to make edits to the dataset. This would be what would need to happen to the dataset in order to determine the azimuth of a dataset. I would suggest posting this on our Ideas site, for possibly a button to be added, to determine the azimuth for a dataset. Gracias! ArcGIS Ideas http://ideas.arcgis.com/
