I am rebuilding an Election and Polling place web map and application from a Pro project. The upcoming election has voting for the mayor in all of the city's six districts (1-6). City council elections are taking place in only three of the six districts (1,2, and 4) , but one has the incumbent running unopposed (District 4). For districts having mayor voting only, and to avoid voter confusion, I don't want to show any election information in the custom pop-up for that district's council member elections, as there is none (the poll is only open for Mayor voting). I have very little Arcade experience, both in writing the code and then how to insert in a web map in AGOL. I found two useful GeoNet posts on the topic (Conditional Field display with Arcade in Pop Ups, Kelly Gerrow and How to hide a blank field in AGOL, Steve McCord). While these posts are helpful, I am unable to "connect-the-dots" on creating and using an elegant way to not show individual district election information when the seat is not contested. In the districts having council member elections, we have at most two candidates (CAND1 and CAND2) and have two email and phone fields (CAND1_EMAIL, CAND1_PHONE, CAND2_EMAIL and CAND2_PHONE). I have included image files showing the current pop-up and custom configuration for reference. I don't think a filter on the layer will work for what I am after. Finally, if anyone has some suggestions on how to make the pop-up more user friendly and inviting, let me know. Thanks in advance.

I removed and replaced the two feature services in question and rebuilt the web map as a work around, all the services cooperated again. However, the app was still asking for credentials. I discovered that I had not shared a custom basemap I created (a grey version of the National Geographic basemap) correctly. Once I changed the sharing, the app performed as expected when accessed from the public side.

I discovered I can use the Share as Web Layer and Overwrite Web Layer at the ElectoralDistrict feature service level, but not at the individual layer level (e.g., Polling Places, Voting Precincts, etc.). I am not sure if I could publish at that level before. However, I am still unable to publish the two feature classes sourced from the project's geodatabase.

Hello. I am working with Esri's My Elected Representatives solution in ArcGIS Pro. I added the ElectoralDistricts feature service to the map project and updated some of the field values. I have two other feature classes added to the project also. In the past, the Share As Web Layer and Overwrite Web Layer options were visible in the (right click) TOC menu option to Share, but now they are greyed out. The same behavior is occurring for the two additional feature classes which are sourced from the Pro project's filegeodatabase. I saw one post regarding spaces in the layer names possibly being a cause. I renamed one layer (removed a space) in the feature service, but the change did not resolve the issue. Further, I have everything shared Publicly, and now I am getting a credential prompt whenever I try to view the application from an external environment. I suppose I could start over and create a new Pro project, pull in the ElectoralDistricts and copy over the two feature classes into the new project filegeodatabase, etc., but I am hoping to hear a better solution from the GeoNet community. Thanks in advance!

Yes, I believe Monitor is an additional cost. Give your Esri account representative a shout. To date, we have not moved forward with bringing Monitor into our platform.

Tanu, That is correct. The space count updates every minute, so it is near-real time, and not a continuous data feed. Thanks for your interest! Jay

Hi all, Thank you for the kind replies and great information. It never ceases to amaze me at how helpful the GIS community is! I have created the post in October 2017. To date, we have only moved forward on establishing a parking space count for our three municipal parking lots. The City has placed signs at the entrances to our three lots that show a count of vacant parking spaces. We were able to access the sign vendor's database through their API and add the counts to our Web map and app. The counts update every minute. The counts will go negative in the app if more cars enter a lot when the lot is full while people wait for someone to leave. I am hoping I can do something similar with the smart meters and parking meter data (different vendor) eventually. In the meantime, I will review the links and materials all of you kindly provided. Many thanks, Jay

Hi Scott, I was never able to figure out how to rearrange the list in the configuration panel or by any other method. I tried rearranging the layer order in the web map only to see the layers arranged in reverse order in the Lookup Layers list in the app configuration panel. I noticed some tendency to an alphabetical order in layer naming, so I tried to coming up with naming that favored local to federal, but that did not work either. In addition to the ElectoralDistricts service, I have a couple of other services (Mayor and Governor) which don't play nicely in the list. I was hoping I could arrange the list using the Lookup Layer, a click and drag, or by some other similar utility in the configuration panel. I have seen a couple of app examples where the layer listing goes from local to federal, but no information was provided in how the author achieved those results. Therefore, I gave up, made excuses to the local users, and moved on. If you are successful in figuring this one out, please let me know. Thanks in advance. Sincerely, Jay Hodny

Hi Joe, Yes that listing order (local to federal, top to bottom) is what I am after. If there is a setting in the configuration panel or a way to rearrange the list, I have yet to find them. Thanks for you help. Sincerely, Jay

Hi Joe, I am working with the 'My Elected Representative' solution. Here is the link to the publicly-shared app: Information Lookup I have populated the ElectoralDistricts solution's feature service in Pro. Pulled the service into the My Elected Representative web map along with a couple of other services (e.g., Mayor and Governor) in AGOL. In the app, when I click on a location, the combined pop-up appears on the left which lists the various elected officials from national to local elections, top to bottom (more or less). I would like to have the local officials at the top. I have tried rearranging the layers in the Web Map, but this does not change the order in the app's combined pop-up. I thought maybe the layer names or aliases were controlling the order (alphabetically), but it doesn't hold. I am interested in rearranging the items in the combined pop-up which, I think, is created in the application. Thank you for your help. Sincerely, Jay

Hi all. Is there a way to specify of the order of the layers in the combined pop-up in the application configuration panel? Currently, the elected US congress persons are listed at the top and trickles down (more or less) to local officials. I would like to have the list go from local to national, top to bottom. Thanks in advance. Jay

Hi Michael, thank you for your help. I don't think the symbology is complex. I have changed the polygon outline colors and in some cases added color fill. For the point layer of polling places, I am using the LG ballot box symbol, but have changed the colors to match some of the polygon color fill. See image. Thanks, Jay
