I am having an issue where newly created parcels are apparently not recognized as parcels. The parcels were created by: 1)using the traverse tool to create tax parcel lines, 2) creating seeds and 3) building active record. Now I want to change parcel type to "pending parcel" and the tool icon is grayed out with an error message shown below. You can also see that there are multiple tools grayed out that should be available. Below is what happens when I try to do exactly the same thing, but using a Conveyance Division instead of a Tax parcel. (Same workflow under the same record) Any ideas what is happening here?

Thanks to all. Apparently dbo schema does not work in the publishing of of a branch versioned parcel feature service in SQL. I created a new user with its own schema (user: gis schema:gis) and was able to get past these errors.

I started from scratch again, doing EVERYTHING (connect to database, enable enterprise geodatabase, copy fabric to new feature dataset, etc.) from a new user whose only purpose is to do this task. I followed all the instructions to the tee. I am having same issue. I opened a trouble ticket, and OF COURSE I am getting zero response there. When I do get a call, it will likely be someone who knows nothing about parcel fabrics...

Yes. GIS_ADMIN has sysadmin permissions. I changed the database owner in SQL Server to another user that was created just for this purpose. I changed the connection properties to this new user and I re-added all the layers to the map. Still had the same problems when trying to publish.

I am signed in as GIS_Admin. And in SQL, GIS Admin is the Owner: When I create the connection to the database, the branch version is automatically assigned to DBO, I can't seem to change that. I just need to figure out how to change the DBO schema ownership to GIS_Admin, I think??

I have a parcel fabric that was in a file based gdb. I have been able to get the data successfully transferred to SQL, and am trying to set up the feature service. I created a branch version to my connection to the fabric, but when I publish the feature service according to these instructions (https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/parcel-editing/workflow-publishpf.htm) , I run into an error. I have no idea how to change the owner of the branch version to match with my connection. Please help!

I have had this problem in the past. I am pretty sure it was because some of the lines that make up the parcel are not assigned to the record the parcel is in. Be sure to highlight all the parcel lines, and then select the "gear" icon to the right of the record, and select "assign selection to record." Then try again. I think you will find this works.

I wanted to request an enhancement, but before I do thought I should ask if it exists and I am just not finding it yet. In the error inspector, you can filter your errors by a specific rule, or show all. What I want to do is view all errors that pertain to a specific parcel type. Does this already exist? Already in the works?

Hi Mike. I just ended up figuring this out myself. I am working in ArcGIS Pro and model builder. What I figured out is that the layer that I am working on needed to be in a feature service, instead of just a layer in the map. Once I created the feature service and used it, I was able to close the map and still able to run the model. This allowed me to schedule it successfully. Yeah!

I have had multiple people view this, and no replies. Is this just not possible? Or am I not phrasing the question so its understandable?

I have what I think would be a simple task. I have a feature class and a table in two different databases. Every night I would like to join the table to the feature class and export a subset of fields (with some of the field names aliased). I can set up a model that works if I want to watch it work and do it manually, but this requires the map to be open. If I am having this automated, the map will not be open and it will fail. Please give me some ideas how to make this process easier.

It does not happen all the time. And I can't say exactly when it decides to rear it's head. Perhaps it is something that I do that I am unaware of, but the bottom line is that the values normally do work. It is only every so often that the extra decimals show up, and you cant see them when it is displayed normally. When you click on the value, it will show you then the extra decimals. I am just going to close this out and realize this is just a "feature" that I will learn to deal with. If this ever becomes more problematic than it is, I will pursue further. Thanks for attempting to help.

For now it is in a file based geodatabase, which is the only format that works for editing the new Parcel Database, aside from moving to enterprise, but when you do that you are forced to use editing through a feature service.

This doesn't help, because I am already able to display the values correctly, my problem is the storage of extra digits after the decimal.

Thanks Joe. Can't find a way to update that in Pro. In ArcMap it is a snap. BUT, I can't alter the new parcel fabric in ArcMap, only in ArcGIS Pro. See what I mean about all the "gotchas."
