Hello! To enable attachments in AGOL for a feature layer, you do that from the item details page. First click the arrow next to the layer you want to enable attachments for: The on the right side of the page, you can toggle attachments.

Are you trying to do this completely within ArcGIS Online? Or are you able to use ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro?

Are you able to do any analysis in ArcGIS Pro? The way I'd go about this is to create 1km buffers around the points, then select any points that don't intersect with the buffer layer. You can then export those selected features into a new layer.

Hello, Apologies for what is probably a very novice question - but I'm wondering if it's possible to do something through the API for Python. My organization has ~9,000 items in our AGOL portal. We are going through a restructuring after several acquisitions, creating groups for each state, and so content that falls within that state will need to be assigned to the state's group. As you can imagine, the idea of doing this manually is not very appealing... I'm hoping it's possible to run a query using the Python API and return all the items that fall within a certain states boundary, then assign all of those items to a group in one go. Any advice to point me in the right direction is much appreciated! 🙂

It should create new rows if the data is from a repeat....can you share a screenshot or the document to show how you have the template set up?

@RyanDurand2 I've done something very similar, just using concat and join. I used this method because the data summary the users wanted was for data entered in a repeat, so the number of rows needed would vary from survey to survey. A quick note/tip - make sure you set the field length to a very high number (I ran into issues with the string truncating and throwing an error when more records were entered in the repeat than I anticipated) and also set the field type to null so it won't appear in your feature layer's attribute table.

Hi @DeonLengton , will this method work if the data is in a repeat, so we don't know exactly how many rows we need? Or is it only possible to hardcode the number of rows using this method?

Hi @DylanT_EsriCanada , thanks for the tip about the custom styles. We are just now getting around to updating our homepage and I was surprised to find that the ability to modify the layout by customizing the HTML wasn't available anymore. From what you're saying though, it sounds like using a custom style will allow you to change font size, color, etc - but will Esri ever return the capability to just write the HTML when modifying the homepage layout?

This is an awesome functionality! Is there any possibility of this being implemented so that we can open existing records via a custom URL in a pop-up for the field app? And if so, could it work while offline?

Hmmmm, well maybe my process is a little different than yours. I publish tile layers by themselves, so there's an Item Details page for the tile layer. If you click on the "Settings" tab, you can see the number of tiles that are built for each level. When I add these layers to a web map, they show up as "Tile Layer", not "Group Layer" like you have in your screenshot, which is why I mentioned that our workflows seem to be different. Are you not able to see the group layers as distinct items in your content in AGOL?

I've seen this on some surveys too. When I click on it, it seems it's an option to redownload the survey. However, like you I am unclear why it has that option in the first place?

Once they fill out those first five questions in the first survey, they can save those as "Favorite Answers" and then in a new survey they can "Paste from Favorites".

Old post I know, but just wanted to say thanks, this helped me out a lot. Is this info published anywhere in the official Esri documentation? Seems pretty important, but I didn't see it in there.
