Sadly there are several things Map Viewer cannot do (yet) that Map Viewer Classic can. Its a bit of an awkward time for ArcGIS Online at the moment.

"the user is presented with a non-intuitive selection tool". I agree with this. The UI needs to be improved. And it would be good to be able to allow the selection tool to remain active. I have suggested to at least expose all selection tools when using map layer actions rather than have a dropdown: Map layer selection tool layout. Even with the current dropdown setup, the default selection option needs to be configurable or automatically default to the last selection made by the user. The selection can also be made from the pop-up, though I prefer to use the Details element rather than the pop-up for most of my Dashboards. Jamie.

Hi @RyanBohan, If you open your map in Map Viewer (not Classic), select your layer and go to 'Configure pop-ups', expand 'Attachment' by clicking on it (if necessary) and turn 'Show as list' off. Then in your Dashboard, for the Details element, turn 'Attachments' on (rather than 'Media'). NOTE: for one of my maps, the attachment options in the pop-ups menu wasn't available in Map Viewer and I (somehow) resolved this by opening the map in Map Viewer Classic, turning on the 'Show feature attachments as links' option in the pop-up setting, saving the map, then opening it up in Map Viewer again, and the attachment setting were there! Jamie.

Hi @MichaelShouse, Did you have any luck with this? One thing that may be worth trying is to create a new feature with the same schema and append your data to that. See if that changes your pop-up/attachment options in Map Viewer. Not ideal... I had to 'fix' a Dashboard today and the attachment options in the pop-ups menu wasn't available in Map Viewer and I (somehow) resolved this by opening the map in Map Viewer Classic, turning on the 'Show feature attachments as links' option in the pop-up setting, saving the map, then opening it up in Map Viewer again, and the attachment setting were there! Hi @FrankDay , The image question is not yet supported via the Inbox. If you want to add images in the Inbox, you need to use a repeat (related table). You can use the image question for a new survey and a repeat for a survey opened via the Inbox or use a repeat for all images. If you use an image question for a new survey and want it to be required, and you also want to use the Inbox, there is some information here that will let you do that; Using a Required Image Question and Inbox - Form Settings. There are circumstances where the Image question with the camera appears in the Inbox and you can take a photo and see the resulting thumbnail in the survey form. When you submit this record the submission dialogue will tell you it is sending the image, though it never gets attached to the hosted feature. I have tested this and the image is never actually captured with the record. See also this thread; Image-field-not-showing-photo-folder-buttons, where this behavior is identified as a bug. The ability to capture an image with the Image question via the Inbox is a work in progress by the development team and may become a reality by YE 2021 or early 2022. Fingers crossed! Cheers, Jamie.

Hi @Alber_Verster, You are just showing it is possible to take a photo in the Inbox without a repeat? None of your photos were actually attached to hosted feature were they? I had a quick look at this an no images were actually attached to my hosted feature. Thanks, Jamie.

Hi @CharlesHutchinson1, This was a known issue before Dashboards came out of beta - first identified in late July 2020! Not sure why it was released to production with such a significant flaw. It has caused some pain... Looks like there is BUG-000139152, BUG-000139536, BUG-000138393 (Status: In Product Plan). I can only find BUG-000138393 though. dashboards-beta-map-widget-shows-popups-for-filtered-features latest-update-to-arcgis-dashboards-lists-and-selectors-are-not-correctly-filtering-popups arcgis-dashboards-beta-category-selector-filters date-selector-in-dashboard-is-not-filtering-correctly Jamie.

Hi @MichaelShouse , I feel your pain! If you open your map in Map Viewer (not Classic), select your layer and go to 'Configure pop-ups', turn 'Show as list' off. Hi @Henry7512Custer , it seems like URL parameters were working at version 3.10 and broke after that. URL parameter for Survey123 - see @Shwu-jingJeng's comment: "BUG-000137679 ArcGIS Survey123 3.11 field app opens the inbox instead of an individual form when the query parameter is used in the custom URL." Seems like the timing on a fix keeps getting pushed back though... Jamie.

Thanks for the reply @RussRoberts . Do you have any info on timing for the fix? Sharing with Everyone is not a viable solution for me. Thanks. Jamie.

Hi All, When the current Map Viewer was in Beta, I was able to use custom symbols. Now that it is out of Beta, this no longer works. I can see my symbol styles listed, though when I select one, it endlessly tries to load. Has there been a change to this functionality from Beta to Production? I know there have been other issues with symbols not loading - Custom Web Styles in Map Viewer , though in this case the sharing is set to the Organization for both styles and group - and it was working in Beta. @RussRoberts The style files were created in Pro from SVG files and published to AGOL. In the Organizations map setting the 2D web style group has been changed to a new group shared to the Organization with the published style files (also shared to the Organization). Thanks, Jamie.

Hi @AliCohen, The Print widget is on the 2021 roadmap (and beyond...) experience-builder-roadmap-in-2021-and-beyond , so hopefully that will come in 2021 (and not beyond). In the meantime, Web AppBuilder may be an option for you? Jamie.

Can I edit the Flash action to last longer - Yes! In order to do this, you need to edit the Dashboards JSON, and this can be done with the ArcGIS Online Assistant . Once you log in to the ArcGIS Online Assistant with your credentials, you will see your content. From the 'I want to…' drop-down, select 'View an item's JSON'. Navigate to the Dashboard you want to edit the flash repeat count of and select it. The JSON will appear on the right. The first section of JSON is the Description and the second section is the Data. Scroll down to the second section, Data, and select edit (the pencil icon). A warning message will pop-up to let you know that editing the JSON is an unsupported workflow. NOTE: it doesn’t hurt to make a copy of the JSON before making your edits. Scroll down until you find the "flashRepeats": 3, row, or use the default search option (ctrl-f) to search for 'flashRepeats'. Change this to the number of repeats you want in your Dashboard. In this example I have changed it to 8. Click save (the JSON must be valid in order to save or you will see an error message). Refresh your Dashboard and the flash repeat count will be updated. NOTE: If you have more than one map in your Dashboard, use the map itemID to confirm you are looking at the settings for the correct map. The flashRepeat count is edited per map. Hope this helps! Jamie.
