It's no problem. Right now I'm in a bit of a bind because my script tool works but I realized that I need to create a separate script that simply adds a single row to a table. I have been working on a script that accomplishes this, but I haven't had any luck. So I might try either modifying the script so it simply adds a new row and modify it again to simply update. Any help on this would be really helpful. Thanks Joshua

Never mind. I decided to create a custom script tool instead and it seems to work just fine.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew the best way to use the Get Count tool as a field calculate expression. I am working on a project where I am trying to get the feature count and then calculate a field using that count as the expression. I think I could easily swing this using python, but the only issue is I have trouble using python scripts as a tool in either arcmap or pro. So if anyone could help with this I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi, I was toying around with one of my dashboards created in WAB and I noticed that when I have graphs displaying the various kinds of data, that it simply highlights the feature. I was wondering if it would be possible to enable the user(s) to be able to zoom or pan over to the highlighted feature(s) in the graphs other than simply highlighting them.

Hi, I was wondering if there was any way for end users outside of an organization to share CAD files with users within an organization in AGO. The reason being is that I work within an organization that gets surveyed information in a CAD file from other companies. I was wondering if there was a way for them to upload their CAD files and share them directly with AGO while allowing users within the organization to see the shared data as well. So in short I was wondering if they could upload CAD files to a web map and have the web map be shared with users within an organization. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I think it would be great if the add data widget could be used to include CAD files such as DWG, DGN, and other related CAD files. Then it would be easier to work with other entities that exist outside of an organization can share plans or other related info, thus allowing for greater in-depth collaboration.

Hi, I was thinking it would be a great idea if more functionality could be added to story maps that are similar to the Story Map Journal and Cascade. I know that currently their is some level of customization but for those that would like to delve further into customizing the story map content, I think it would be a great addition to allow for users to create their own customization using either Html/CSS/Javascript, and other forms of web customization. I have had plenty of success with this and I think it would be a great addition if more of this kind of customization could be added. I think even a sandbox story map template would be really nice to have. I have some examples of work that I have done using this kind of customization. https://www.arcgis.com/apps/MapJournal/index.html?appid=30bcfa4e641d410289021b8093486f83

Hi, I thought it would be nice to utilize the splash widget to have the ability to either add, create, or incorporate forms of various kinds and have the splash screen disappear to reveal the web app shortly after submission. Currently the splash widget has the ability to custom code using html/CSS into it, but I would like to be able add, create, or incorporate forms from other sources and have the users complete and submit the form in order to continue to the webmap application. I have incorporated forms before using this method but the user can bypass by simply checking a box and/or clicking a button to close the splash widget. So if it's possible, I would like to be able to have the user complete the form in order to continue.

Hi Stephen, I am looking to simulate water flow in pipes which sounds like I am really pushing the envelope on this, but I have always been wanting to push what I know as well as what understand, and mostly explore areas that few people have. Coming up with something complex and innovative is always tricky, but I can't help challenging myself and seeing whether or not there is an end or if simply opens up other opportunities. -Robert

Thanks Stephen, I wasn't sure about the whole Unreal/City Engine/ ArcPro direction, but I had a hunch that there may be a way. I have yet to try and test your idea since I haven't installed Blender or Unreal Engine but I am hoping to sometime soon. I just wanted to see if anyone has done this yet or figured out if it was possible, but it does seem to be. Thanks again for your help Stephen, Robert

Thanks Stephen. I was simply curious about the ability to create complex animations that could be used online. I was intrigued by the animated windmills and thought about other possibilities with the animated symbology. It does look like a tedious process to create the animations, but I think that if the boundaries on this could be pushed, it would create more opportunities in terms of advancements in this direction. I will keep checking this to see what other possible solutions may exist. On another note. Do you know if it is also possible to incorporate 3D Animations created in Blender. I was looking at some examples in the software about creating water animations and I think that there is a way for me to do it, but like you said, the process would be extremely tedious but otherwise possible. I will keep researching this to see what direction I would need to take. If you have any other ideas or hints that may help me in this endeavor I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Robert
