Hi

I am having issues with creating annotation that shows the 'unplaced' annotation.

I have 32 points and when converted only 29 show and the 3 missing 'unplaced' are not in the attribute table in order to adjust the status to 'placed'

I am only showing 2 points in my screenshots.

Am I missing something or is this just a quirk?

Screen shots of the points labelled with the process options and one of the results.

Seems to be 'omitting' the point labels that are out of the spatial range of the layer.

Any help much appreciated

Tina

Hi @TinaKwitkoski,

I think the extent is set to Annotation feature class's extent. If these three points are outside of the defined bounding box, they won't be created at all not even as "unplaced" records.

You can adjust the extent "Extent of Data in all layers" as shown in the picture and re-try.

I hope this helps and let me know.

Hi @TinaKwitkoski,

So there a couple of things to check:

  1. The full extent. It might be possible that some are not drawing given that either the feature layer drawing might be set too low so that only a handful are showing.
  2. The extent in the tool may have been manually set which could be why some are not showing. Try updating that to see if that fixes the issues.
  3. It might be that some of the attributes are not populated so that could be it also.
  4. Is there a definition query on a layer.

Check those and if that doesn't fix your issue then it might be something else.

Thank you so much, I do believe it is as extent issue.
