Did you get anywhere resolving the specific hardware issue here? I've got the same problem coming from one specific user who had previously been able to submit image attachments on the survey ok. For the last few months all their images have been coming though as white/blank with a resolution of 360x634 and a file size of 4.3kb. They're based some distance away so it's difficult for me to get a look at their device. They say that they've uninstalled and reinstalled the Survey123 app but perhaps it needs a full factory reset of the device to fix?

As far as I'm aware any editing settings on the feature service as a whole (such as the allow attribute editing only) will apply to all layers in the service as you've discovered. One way to do this would be to just disable editing for your sites layer within the map. It's not ideal because the same layer added to any other map is still editable by default but better than nothing. I'm guessing there are probably enhancement ideas out there to have the editing controlled at the individual layer level rather than the whole service.

Just a quick update. Tried republishing the layers in my map in WGS84 but that made no difference. Tried rolling the survey back to 3.13 and the maps load correctly in the repeats so it looks like a bug with version 3.14 maybe?

Did you just add the layer into your web map via the URL? If so then I'd recommend adding it as a content item in your Portal first and choosing the option to save credentials. That way the user name and password will be saved with the layer and you shouldn't get prompted for them when you add to a map or open the map.

I have a public Survey123 form (published from Connect 3.14) that is going to be used to allow farmers to bid for cover crop funding, using the web form rather than the app. Part of the process involves them drawing a polygon for each field [as in farmer's fields, not attribute fields!] that they are bidding for (geoshape question within a repeat). I've tried setting it up a couple of different ways and get a subtly different error each time. Basically the map in the first repeat displays correctly but the map any subsequent repeats never load completely - they appear to load the map in the background but the white pulsing progress bar never disappears. Firstly I had a question called field count (default value of 1) which was used to set the repeat count and automatically add that number of repeats. In the browser console I can see the following error being generated when I update the value in the question for the field count - in this case I put a field count of 13, so there are 12 errors displayed, one for each new repeat it is trying to create. Whatever I change the number of fields to the error count is always that number minus one. 12 app-render-v3.14.113.chunk.js:2 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'addClass') at survey123_repeatGroup_Survey123RepeatGroupWidget._addPaginateItem (app-render-v3.14.113.chunk.js:2:516564) at app-render-v3.14.113.chunk.js:2:504831 at HTMLElement.<anonymous> (app-commons-v3.14.113.chunk.js:2:178338) at Object.add (app-render-v3.14.113.chunk.js:2:178631) at Object.updateRepeatInstancesFromCount (app-render-v3.14.113.chunk.js:2:177296) at Array.forEach (<anonymous>) at Object.countUpdate (app-render-v3.14.113.chunk.js:2:177755) at Boolean.<anonymous> (app-render-v3.14.113.chunk.js:2:641140) at Array.forEach (<anonymous>) at HTMLDivElement.<anonymous> (app-render-v3.14.113.chunk.js:2:64112 Secondly I tried removing the reliance on the field count question and just got the user to manually add as many repeats as they require. This produced the following error in the browser console app-render-v3.14.113.chunk.js:2 Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'clone') at survey123_polygon_Survey123PolygonWidget._centerViewByPolygon (app-render-v3.14.113.chunk.js:2:598163) at app-render-v3.14.113.chunk.js:2:594583 Thirdly I tried setting the default value on the field count question to 10 thinking that maybe it would be happier if it created all the repeats on first loading and then the user could just add or remove any that they don't need. However it looks like it doesn't actually trigger the problematic code in this scenario until I try to remove onto another repeat and I get the same error message as the second time above. Have also tried drawing a polygon first before moving onto the next repeat in case that is the null that is being referred to, but no difference. The only other thing I can think of is that the reference layers being used in my map are in British National Grid coordinate systems whereas the basemap will be WGS84 so it is presumably reprojecting on the fly. I will have a go at projecting to WGS84 before uploading and see if that makes a difference.

Just to say that I've also noticed similar errors appearing in Server logs but in this case there are no mosaics in the service, just a series of tif files (generated from PDFs in ArcMap) stored locally on the Server machine. This is publishing from Pro 2.9 to ArcGIS Server 10.9.1 and I've checked that all images have the correct projection set. Also get no warnings in the analyze stage of the publishing process. The service still seems to work ok and these errors are only logged occasionally but it is slightly annoying.

Thanks @ZhifangWang In my case I'm working with a Geoshape but the use of the null default value has done the trick - no need to remove the Find the Location button completely in this instance, just didn't want it prompting the user for location automatically.

Is there a way to control how the location is set when submitting responses via the web for a form that was designed via Survey123 Connect? I'd prefer for the Find My Location button to not appear on the map question and for it just to centre on the location specified in Connect if possible. Would reverting to Connect 3.13 sort this out at least temporarily?

Just ran into the same issue having upgraded to ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 last month. 😞 Think I will probably raise as a support case with ESRI UK as I might get a better idea of likely timescales for resolving (I expect they will say wait for Enterprise 11.0).

Is there a timescale for when this will be fixed in ArcGIS Enterprise? I seem to be experiencing the same issue when trying to copy features into a hosted feature layer that has no fields with unique constraints published from Pro 2.9.1 to Enterprise 10.9.1.

We have ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 and SQL Server 2017 enterprise geodatabase. There are several feature services published to the hosting server multi-machine site which are used by different sets of editors around the business. These aren't high traffic services so in order to save on server resources the services were set to use the shared instance pool (available if the service is published from Pro). Editing is being carried out using either the Smart Editor widget in WAB app or via the Field Maps app. Access to maps and layers is being controlled by Portal groups and none of the content items are shared more widely than groups. A user of one of the editable layers has noticed odd values appearing in the last edited column of the tracking data - in some cases their name is recorded against features that they know they have not edited and in a small number of cases the name of someone from outside their team has been recorded, despite that person not having access to the layer or map via Portal sharing. From what we can tell it appears that the attribute and/or geometry edits against that particular record are correct, just that the wrong name has gone into the last edited user field. In one of the cases we can see that the user from outside the team was submitting a record in their own project in Field Maps at the same time (at least to the minute), but that's not always the case. The only thing we can think of that is linking these users together is that they are all editing feature services that are running as shared instances on the same ArcGIS Server site. So we were wondering if there is some sort of cacheing or mix up of user names going on within the shared instance. We've now set the feature service that was getting the incorrect tracking to be a dedicated instance and after 24 hours there don't appear to be any rogue editor names from outside the team. It may just be that the exact circumstances which caused the problem have not arisen again and there is no guarantee that the names it has recorded are necessarily correct (unless we specifically ask users to check after each edit). Has anyone else ever experienced this issue when working with shared instances? There is nothing that I can see in the documentation which says they can't or shouldn't be used for feature access/editing but I think for the time being we will stick to dedicated instances for any editable services.

I'm just trying to work out if it is possible in Survey123 Connect 3.13 to set the appearance for a repeat so that all the records are shown on the survey form at one time. Intended use is the field client on an iPad. I've set up a repeat with a fixed grid appearance for manhole inspections which looks as I want it to. However the default behaviour when entering multiple records is for each one to be accessed via the arrows underneath the questions. Is there are way to make each record appear below each other i.e. like a spreadsheet/paper form/database table, so that the user has a better visual indication of their progress and can easily jump back to a previous record if it needs adjusting? In our case they could be inspecting up to 300 manholes as part of the overall survey so I think it would quite fiddly to have to use the arrow buttons to scroll through records to find and check a particular record.
