I wanted to see if the following bug will be fixed for the 10.7 or 10.7.1 releases: BUG-000109824 Annotation and label rendering is significantly slower in ArcMap 10.5.1 when compared with 10.3.1

I recently discovered a quirck/bug/strange behavior regarding a Date field in relationship to geodatabases and ArcGIS Server map services (ArcSoc.exe). The quirck is that the day in the map service is one day earlier than the day in the geodatabase. For example, the Date field in the geodatabase will be 12/5/2014. But in the map service, the Date field will be 12/4/2014. I've noticed this behavior in at least two map services. I'd like to know why this is occuring, and if I can fix the issue?

My organization is looking at setting up the base deployment of ArcGIS Enterprise later this year. We've been running the ArcGIS Server (ArcSOC.exe services) for a while now. We are interested in using Enterprise to enable our municipal users to assist with editing datasets related to addressing (as they are the authorities on this subject). After completing some initial reading, it looks like we could set hosted feature layer view definition to control access of the layer to each municipality. Ideally, they would be editing data (probably from a version) coming out of our SDE SQL database. However, I'm aware that there is some relationship between Hosted Services and the Data Store (which happens to be a seperate Postgres database). I'm trying to understand if we can actually accomplish what we want to. Or if the data edits from our users would be inside the Data Store database?

I'm updating a custom ArcGIS Tool using ArcMap flavor ArcPy. I have a function that exports any selected features (from a select by location analysis) to an Excel Spreadsheet (using Excel to Table). Is there a way to limit which fields get exported to Excel? A better experience would be presented to the end users if they only had the fields of interest in the exported Excel files. And the layers being exported are "Feature Layers," as there are spatial selections being applied to them.

Maybe this is a no-brainer. My organization is looking into developing an open data site. It would be great if we could start developing at "test" open data site. But it appears that it is an all or nothing approach with ArcGIS Online. Is there a way to develop an "test" open data site, that is not actually open to everyone? It would be nice to build the site before launching it. Don't really want to click "Enable Open Data" before we're ready. But I do want to see what the environment is like.

I watched a 2016 UC video about ArcGIS Portal. In the video, they stated that it is recommended that ArcGIS Server and Portal for ArcGIS be installed on separate machines. They also referenced an optional data store. It sounded like this is where content from analyses are stored. Does this data store need to be installed on a separate, third machine?

Currently, our organization runs various ArcPy python scripts as Windows Scheduled Tasks from a workstation. But I know some people prefer to run these from a server machine. I am hoping to get some clarification on this issue. So below are some questions: 1. What software needs to be installed on a workstation or server to run ArcPy python scripts as a scheduled task? 1a. Does ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Pro need to be installed? 2b. Or does only the ArcGIS 10.x Python installation need to be present? 2. If you run a Python script scheduled task on a server that has the ArcGIS 10.x Python installed, but not ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, are you limited with what functions you can run? (i.e., you can't run processes that required Standard or Advanced license). 3. What are the advantages/disadvantages of running the scheduled tasks from a workstation or a server? Thanks everyone! Hopefully other Esri users find the discussion for this question helpful.

Thanks for the help Robert. Below is the code that appears to be providing the solution I desire: // widget open event
onOpen: function(){
// web app object
var wab = this;
// print map button
var printMapEl = document.getElementById('printMapButton');
// add event listener to print map button
printMapEl.addEventListener('click', function() {
// selected feature
var feat = wab.map.infoWindow.getSelectedFeature();
// set map extent to selected feature
// adjust value in expand() to fit around features
wab.map.setExtent(feat.geometry.getExtent().expand(2.5));
// center map on selected featured
wab.map.centerAt(feat.geometry.getCentroid());
// show print loading message
var printLoadingMessage = document.getElementById('print-prep-msg');
printLoadingMessage.style.display = 'block';
// use timeout function to give map time to refresh tiles
window.setTimeout(function() {
// open browser print dialog window
window.print();
// hide print loading message
printLoadingMessage.style.display = 'none';
}, 4000);
});

Is it possible to link to specific tabs within the Story Map Series app? That is, provide a link that opens the app on a specific tab? We are using this template in updating our County's Hazard Mitigation Plan. Rather than always linking to the general URL for the app, it would be nice to provide a link to each relevant map (tab) within the app.

In this case, they select a feature on a map and then the pop-up opens (in this case using you're popup panel widget). We've created a print CSS media query so that the map is on one page, and the content from the popup is on the second page. My widget is just calling window.print(). This is our current solution to the JS API's lack of support for printing maps with popups. The problem we're trying to solve is to always have the selected featured centered on the map when the map is printed. It would probably also be a good idea to set the map extent to the bounding box for the selected feature.

I'm working on some custom functionality within WebApp Builder Developer Edition 2.10. I am developing a simple widget that has a button that, when clicked, executes the window.print() method. Here is the process I would like to occur: 1. User selects a feature on the map 2. User opens the custom widget 3. User presses the button within the custom widget 4. The map is centered on the selected feature on the map 5. The window.print() method executes Any leads are appreciated.

Our department that handles data requests recently upgraded from ArcGIS Desktop 10.0 to 10.3.1. They use Arc Publisher extension when fulfilling data requests. The reason is that it provides users with both the data and a program to view the data. The included data includes four Annotation layers. At version 10.0 and earlier, there were no problems. However, when they tried their workflow at 10.3.1, they encountered an issue. After reading the Esri help docs, I learned that Annotation layers can "only be packaged using the copy option." Does this mean we have to use the copy tool or manually copy the file geodatabase into the Arc Publisher output directory? Or is there some other step I don't understand. And if that is what is meant by copy data, then how does the map viewer program know to access the Annotation layers? Or do we need to completely change our process to fulfilling data requests? I called support, but also wanted the input of users.
