Dan Patterson wrote: you would have to experiment by regrouping the graphics, doing a legend update and see if it works. Of course, a little save before you try might, just might enable you to redo it if it doesn't work Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by "doing a legend update". Is this possible after you have converted a legend to graphics?

I'd like to create a legend that has the symbology directly above the text and with each legend item being placed horizontally in a row. I was able to create this in ArcGIS Pro by the Convert to graphics method > ungroup...etc. and manually place these but I was wondering if its possible to do so so the legend updates automatically when changes are made. Thanks! Update: I'm still unable to do this in ArcGIS Pro. As jayanta.poddar mentioned, I have seen the label style in ArcMap, but it is appearing that this functionality has not been added to pro, so I am trying to use the offsets to adjust the text manaully. I am a bit confused on the basic configuration of offset legend items in pro, it seems like they aren't working as expected. For example, if I set the legend to display only the label checkbox, and set up the text offsets on the labels, nothing happens. The text moves in the example display box, but no effect on the actual legend.

A bug has been filed with support. #BUG-000098716 Using stacked labels with large amounts of text and adjusting the maximum number of lines causes ArcGIS Pro to crash. Update: I was just informed that this bug will be resolved in ArcGIS Pro 1.4 Release.

Hi Robert, Thanks for the suggestion, I tried changing the setting to OpenGL, but it had the same result though. As far as I know the settings are all default although I could try changing some of them to see if it has an effect. They are currently:

I am trying to produce a map with some fairly complex labels. The labels are built to look like this when ArcGIS pro doesn't crash: This is built from 3 different fields using a python expression: "<BOL><UND>{}</UND></BOL>; - {}; - {}".format( [NAME] , [PROJECT_LOCATION_] , [PROJECT_DESCRIPTION] ) I have set the label to have stacking: As you can see from the screenshots, Pro does run and label correctly, but as soon as I try to pan the map a few times, or put the map into a layout, I get a crash. Sometimes the crash reporter pops up and sometimes it does not and instead Windows asks if I would like to restart the program. I'm running Pro 1.3.0 on Windows 7 x64 with a fairly beefy machine and graphics card, so I don't think its the system. i5-4690 AMD Firepro W2100 Is Pro not stable enough for this type of labeling yet? Has anyone had any similar issues?

That's correct. ArcGIS Pro does not change the database field order. I have just confirmed the result.

Thanks for the response. I'm glad I'm not the only one having the issue. I still didn't have a great solution to the problem...basically I had to match each one individually which took quite some time.

It really appears that these tools should work with 10.3, 10.4, etc. The documentation clearly describes licensing being available for these tools. Mobile toolbox licensing—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

The problem is with the version of xstyle that the javascript api uses. The issue is resolved in newer versions of xstyle. Credit goes to @tmcgee who noticed this issue awhile back on the canary version of chrome, there are a lot of details about the issue here. css files do not load using `xstyle/css!` in Chrome Beta, Dev, and Canary Channels · Issue #552 · cmv/cmv-app · GitHub

Good news. I found an article where this happens in ArcGIS Server here: 40538 - The PrintingTools service produces garbled or pixelated legend patches in PDF output The solution is: Go to the default print settings. Start -> Printers Right click on the default printer choose Printer Preferences Set the default page size to be something larger than what you're trying to print Success

For some reason I am having trouble geocoding with ArcMap 10.4. I have a table of single-field addresses like this 123 1st st nw. For some reason after running the geocode, the output point file has ZM values in its geometry. After running the geocoder, and opening the Interactive Rematch, I change the results to show unmatched results and click Rematch Automatically. This gives the error message "Couldn't rematch this table. The geometry has no Z values". What's going on here? I've tried disabling the M and Z value output in the geoprocessing environment settings, but the results are the same as described. An aside question, when the Interactive Rematch window opens, there are about 200 matches and 300 unmatched, but the vast majority of them have a candidate with a score of 100. Why would a candidate with a score of 100 not be automatically matched? Cheers.

Well, I contacted support on the issue, and their solution was to convert the spreadsheet to a .dbf file first. Their explanation for the reason it wasn't joining wasn't very clear, there may have been one or multiple issues with the formatting of the spreadsheet. And while converting it to dbf does work, it doesn't really solve the issue since we're updating this table through Excel and need to continue to do so.
