Amir, Thank you for getting back. Yes I would be interested in setting up a meeting to discuss the misalignment between administrative and non-administrative parcels. When we met last summer we discussed using the 'Import Parcel Points' and 'Rubbersheeting' GP tools to help correct a similar issue. We had mixed results with those tools. Two of the administrative parcel types (Land_Use and Site_Boundary) share the same record and their outer boundaries should be coincident. However, in many instances they are not coincident. These two parcels types outer boundaries should also be coincident with the outer boundaries of our 'OwnershipParcels.

For example, there is a parcel line that measure N-00-00-00-W 500 ft. I new parcel is acquired that shares the same line but only the east 250 ft. thereof. How do you depict both measurements on the same line? Or do you simply create a new parcel line that is 250 ft. that will overlaps the 500 ft. line?

- Can you change Administrative Parcels to Non-Administrative Parcels without creating a new parcel type? - Can you add Administrative Parcels (polygons) to Topology? We have several Administrative Parcel's whose outer boundaries are not coincident with Non-Administrative Parcels. These parcel should be coincident and having a topology rule that could readily identify these misalignments would be helpful. Thank you

Christine, Thank you for your response. The adminstrative lines were created with the adminstrative boundaries checked on. Since this is the case, how would I add a topology rule since they are not participating in topology? I have tried using the ‘Select By Location’ command but it queried the entire database. I then tried using the ‘Select By Location’ GP and changed the ‘Processing Extent’ to the current extent but it is still not selecting just the overlapping lines. Do you have any tips on what parameters I should be using to select just the overlapping lines using the ‘Select By Location’ GP tool? Thank you

Do administrative lines participate in the parcel fabric topology? Can a topology and/or attribute rule be added to an administrative layer to identify overlapping lines?

We have a set of administrative parcels in our fabric that is experiencing difficulties rebuilding after the parcel has been shrunk to a seed. Many of these parcels contain overlapping, short segmented lines, along with, an abundance of points. I was curious any of these circumstances would hinder the ability to build parcels after they have been shrunk? I have verified that the corresponding lines: A closed loop of lines All lines belong to the same record There is exactly one seed in the closed loop Thank you

I have tried this but I have a large amount of lines and it take awhile for the selection to process. Is there a similar approach I could utilize by extent? Many of the overlapping lines are different lengths, if I used the 'Delete Identical' GP tool how would I know/verify if the proper line(s) are being deleted? Thanks

Does anyone know of a GP tool or command that selects lines that have multiple vertices? I know the ‘Edit Vertices’ command display line lines vertices but I am looking for a way to select them either via an extent or a feature. Thanks

Amir and Tim, Thank you very much for your response! The reason we need to identify uncovered ‘Points’ is that throughout our migration process many of our parcels have lost coincidence, causing misalignment between parcels and creating unwanted ‘Points’. I have also noticed that many of our PLSS lines are not true two-point lines, which is also creating unwanted ‘Points’. In response, I created a ‘Task’ that will help to rectify the issues above. It recreates the PLSS lines, making sure they are true two-point lines and are coincident. At the end of the process, I am looking for an intuitive method to identify ‘Points’ that are no longer covered by lines and need to be deleted so they do not cause misalignments moving forward.
