Thanks for your help! I've made some progress...kind of. The webmap now consists of a feature layer (hosted), a vector tile layer (hosted), the World Imagery basemap, and our custom basemap (tpk file). The vector tile layer is a part of the basemap and was published from the hosted feature layer (having both the feature layer and the vector layer made the lines appear in the dashboard - with just the hosted feature layer, they did not appear in the dashboard). Both layers and the webmap are shared the same way in AGOL. I'm logging in as the administrator for our organization and I created this content. I redid the map areas today with the configuration described above and in S123 there is now a map area for the vector tile layer and then a separate map area for the basemap. So, I can see the line features, but not with the basemap and vice versa. I tried taking the vtpk out of the basemap in the webmap and then repackaging the offline maps, but I still got the same result.

Hi all, I've collected .gpx tracks of 4 trails to add to a webmap. I was able to add the .gpx layers into the webmap without issue. Then, I created the labels in each layer and they appear properly in the webmap. When I open the map in the Survey123 field app, the tracks (polylines) appear, but no labels. I imagine it's a simple sharing or layer setting that I can't find to make the labels appear in the field app. Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks! RyanE

@GlenShepherd Thanks for the response. Yes, maps are set to "standard." The feature layer was added before the offline areas were created. The basemap is a combination of our own tile package with the world imagery layer - (the tile package is just to have a winter image, in summer we're using just the world imagery layer - I have a separate webmap for summer, but having the same issue) On the feature layer, enable sync is checked, but editing is not enabled. There are no other layers in the map besides the trail layer - it shows appropriately in the online map, but not the downloaded offline map area. No errors when I open in the field map - although I have it shared with a shared content group. Do you think it's just a matter of sharing properly or enabling editing on the feature layer it question? Thanks again for the help, RyanE

UPDATE Jul-30: I didn't have editing enabled on the feature service in AGOL (settings tab). Hi all, I followed the steps to create a survey from an existing feature service in S123 Connect and published the survey. Unfortunately, the new survey will not send responses. I get an error that says "survey could not be sent due to the following error: (then it just shows the instance name) Do you want to edit this survey?" It appears that the submission url and form ID are correct. I did add a few fields in AGOL and then in S123 Connect and republished with success. Interestingly, when you try and edit and look at the geopoint question, the survey does not populate any of the maps that have been linked in S123 Connect. Responses are currently backing up in the Outbox. Any help is appreciated! Cheers, RyanE

I figured out the issue I was having, and was able to download my offline maps. However, the line layer that I created does not show on the offline map - only the basemap. I enabled sync on the hosted feature layer for the line layer and that didn't work. Any other ideas? Cheers, RyanE

I'm having a similar issue with trying to make my webmap available offline. I created the relevant map areas via the settings tab of my webmap in AGOL and linked the content in Connect. But when I open in the field app and try to download the offline map there are no maps available. Reading above it seems like a sharing issue? I just need to share it with everyone and it should work? It's a private map, so I could create an uneditable view layer and then redo the webmap/map areas? Where we work loses power and/or internet a handful of times a year, hence the need for offline maps. I was simply loading a .tpk file into the maps folder before, but the file was very large and our computers very slow. Is there a better way than linked webmaps? How do I create a map package from a web map to put into the media folder? Any help would be much appreciated! RyanE

Thanks for the response @Ruth_JiatengXu Is there a way to enable keywords on a layer in AGOL? The report templated saved, but the fields were simply empty. Our need for printing is minimal. It seems like I could just change the syntax to have the image web location for each signature for each form I need to print? I would have to customize each feature report, but like I said it's only a few a year. Cheers, RyanE

${#$attachment} ${$file} ${/} My problem originated because I appended the data from an old version of the survey into a new survey in AGOL which dropped the attachments. We had the attachments appended back into the database with ArcGIS Pro, but now the original syntax returns an empty space. My survey has two image (signatures) attachments for each record. One signature is from a patient and collected half way through the survey, the other is the provider's collected at the end. The above syntax pulls the attachments, but both signatures are displayed. Is there a syntax to pull the appropriate signature for the appropriate space? The field names are form_patsign and form_ptsign. Thanks, RyanE

@JamesTedrick My survey has two image (signatures) attachments for each record. With the above syntax both are displayed in the same space. What syntax will separate each into it's respective place - the first signature is mid survey and the second is at the end. The one field is named form_patsign and the other is form_ptsign. Thanks, RyanE

I'm a new Pro 2.8 user and I'm trying to append a feature service in my organizations content portal. We use Survey123 for data collection and when we published a new version of a survey and appended the data in AGOL, the attachments were not included. I found in the forums that it was possible in Pro to append and maintain attachments and downloaded the free trial. I downloaded the FGDB files for the new and old surveys from our AGOL account, extracted and added the databases to my catalog. I've appended the data from the old version into the new version with the attachments and preserved the globalids. My problem is that when I try to take this new data from my catalog and append it into the feature service in my content portal the append fails with error codes 000595 and 999999. I'm sure I'm missing something simple....

@JamesTedrick In trying to append old data to a new survey the attachments went missing. I published a new version of a survey and then appended the data from the old version into the new version in AGOL. However, the attachments were not included in the append. I downloaded a trial version of pro and logged into my organization's content portal. I added the relevant layers to the map from the portal. When I try and run the add attachments tool using the datasets/table from portal I keep getting the "cannot open file" error. The join fields are the globalid. Both feature layers already have attachments, so the appropriate tables and relationship classes are in place. Both layers have attachments enabled. The globalids match. I'm sure I'm missing something simple here. Am I loading the layers the wrong way? Is there a way to import into "my database" and then save/export back to the portal once I've added the attachments? Should I just delete the records that are missing the attachments and then merge the layers? Delete records without attachments and run the append tool as described above? Any help/ideas are appreciated! RyanE

Hi @Anonymous User I created and published in Connect. I've attached the XLSform and the contents of the media folder. I'm loading a .tpk into the field app maps folder for my basemap. Cheers, RyanE
