Hi Michael I am thinking that when you build the link from Collector to S123 you might be able to also send the "status" over from Collector to a field in your survey - then in the survey when the user tries to edit an already edited record you can display a note saying the record has already been edited and basically hide the rest of the fields..

Hi Doug Yes you can now add this new field as a hidden field in your survey and use the calculate functionality to do the formula... Just make sure you set the bind::esri:fieldType to esriFieldTypeInteger to match the type of the question you added...

Hi Doug You can add a field to a Feature Layer in ArcGIS Online. Go to the Feature Layer - then go to the Data Tab... Then go to Fields... You can then add a field of integer type and you can do the calculate field in a webmap.

Hi Doug You can create a new numeric field for your feature layer then use the Calculate method to populate it with the integer value of your string variable...

I am not sure if this is intended behaviour or if this is a bug but..... Setting a field's bind::esri:fieldType to null (The field isn't persisted in the database. This works great) Entering a calculation for that same field - let's say something like concat('test'). This should fire regardless of whether this record is a newly captured record or a record retrieved from the survey's inbox. (right ???) In this scenario when a record is retrieved from the survey's Inbox then the calculation never fires for this field unless you click on the "recalculate" icon: In my opinion the non-persisted fields should always be recalculated automatically when a record is opened from the Inbox since they dont currently have a value in the database... I might be mistaken but I think in past versions of Survey123 this was how it used to work?

Hi Philip So I discovered that this was the issue: Caution: Be aware that this will be the last version of the Survey123 field app to support Android x86, as well as the last version to support Android version 4.4. Starting with the next release, the minimum Android version supported will be 5.0 on both 32-bit and 64-bit ARM processors. I installed the previous version and all is fine now... its not a mission critical application so all is fine. Thank you for your reply.

As from this weekend I am unable to sign onto my AGOL account through Survey123 on an older Galaxy Tab T231. The sign-on page appears and i can enter my credentials but I never get authenticated and the login screen stays blank with the busy icon spinning. (Installing S123 Classic works though) One of my surveys is shared publicly and even scanning it's barcode and trying to download the survey without logging in is not working. I have attached the AppStudio Error log for reference. Not sure if this is the root of the cause: filename="SecureSettings.qml" line="46"] qml: SecureStorage error: Key not found <15>1 2019-07-08T07:16:14Z localhost Survey123forArcGIS 8288 - [AppStudio@11205 category="qml" function="onCredentialsRequest" filename="SurveyApp.qml" line="535"] qml: Show sign in page I have uninstalled Survey123 and deleted all its files and reinstalled - still not working I have factory reset the device - still not working I can log in on AGOL through a browser so its not the TLS authentication issue... It might be a device specific issue - I am using a Samsung Galaxy T231 which has been working 100% until now... Any help will be appreciated

Hi We have a survey on ArcGIS Online and get intermittent Code 503 errors. Opening the survey up and retrying sometimes resolves the problem. The error detail in the log is not very helping: <15>1 2019-07-01T09:18:59Z DLENGTON-LP Survey123forArcGIS 18360 - [AppStudio@11205 category="qml" function="onFailed" filename="SubmitSurveysPage.qml" line="351"] qml: Feature service error: { "code": 503, "details": [], "message": "An error occurred." }

Hi Brett I am using the Cedar Tree CP3 device. Android 7.1.2 Survey123 for Android V3.3.64 Using the internal GNSS provider of the device. I used the sample survey called Calculate location from Geopoint so I am sure the syntax is correct. I also tried with my own example with the same results...

By default variables are handled as strings. Convert the variables to numbers in the calculation.

So I've authored a survey to retrieve the direction of movement from the geopoint: pulldata("@geopoint", ${location}, "direction") This does not seem to be working and doesnt actually return any values, even though when I open the Location Status window the Direction field is updated... I've also tried the Calculate location from Geopoint sample in Survey123 Connect with the same results... I dont think it is a device issue since the direction does update in the Location Status window of Survey123... Anybody has any ideas?

You can limit the number of related records by limiting the repeat_count of the repeat section in your survey to 1.
