Good question Dan though I don't know the answer. I told myself I would move over to ArcGIS Pro, use it daily, and learn more about it. But admittedly I return to ArcMap when I need to get something accomplished . So, I'm still quite a novice on ArcGIS Pro and it's capabilities.

Can you help me with installing the Oracle 64 bit client for Windows Version 12.1. I understand I need this client to view my Oracle SDE connections in ArcGIS Pro (v 1.0). I downloaded the client but it doesn't have a standard setup.exe and the online instructions (Pg 8 Sec 6.2) suggest I need an Oracle Universal Installer to run the setup. I can't find a place to download the Oracle Universal Installer, every blog I come across suggest it comes with the software but it doesn't appear to be within the 64 bit client downloaded zip file. Should I reach out to my IT department for this one? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Now that you mention it, ArcGIS Pro is tackling 930,000K of memory in a simple project I opened only rendering a basemap. ArcMap in a similar session as 200,000K of memory. I guess when we spec out computers go for memory

Dave, if you disable the relationship class in your geodatabase you can calculate geometry outside of an edit session, I tested this out. The relationship class is your limitation in this scenario.

Dave, I tried putting this into a model which would add the fields and calculate geometry. The model returned a RuntimeError: Objects in this class cannot be updated outside an edit session. If you want to use this data structure and automate the process I believe you will have to write the code in Python, I think you can activate an edit session in Python (someone please correct me if I am wrong). You may find some help by posting a separate discussion in the Python Group to ask for a script to add fields, calculate geometry, and whatever else you might need. Nice working with you and good luck

Hey Dave, it appears that the relationship class is causing the Calculate Geometry tool to be inactive. In order to activate the Calculate Geometry tool you have to begin an edit session. Not sure the exact cause and affect here but I was able to calculate the geometry inside of an edit session within ArcMap. Try it on your end.

Dave, if you can share the geodatabase I'll take a look. I'm sure Miaogeng can help as well but he is the Esri Rep for all things Collector on the GeoNet forum so it might take him longer. Perhaps upload the FGDB to AGOL and share it publicly. If you don't want to or can't share it publicly create a new group, share it to that group, and add me as a member. I'm guessing it is a projection issue but unsure unless I see it.

Mark, is it a privileges issue? Are feature services shared out correctly to the group members? Basic, question but just checking.

Adam, you probably tried this already but just in case did you select "Embed All Document Fonts" in the PDF options?

Just as a personal practice, I don't perform clipping within a geometric network. I always perform a selection, or selection by a particular feature. For instance, if you want a road network for city or state I perform a selection of all network line and point features within the city or state polygon, this obviously selects lines beyond the boundaries but it preserves the attributes within the line or points. You certainly can perform a clip but you have to pay attention to recalculating attributes (Meters, ToFrom_Minutes, FromTo_Minutes etc). Finally, I then rebuild the network.

Miaogeng, thank you for the reply and confirmation. In line with this question do you have any knowledge that the next release will or will not included Lat/Long and elevation fields? Thanks in advance!

Dave, As I understand it, both questions are not possible yet. I heard at the last conference I attended (March 2015) that Esri is working on a future Collector release which will append and populate all of the common GPS fields and readings you might associate with higher grade equipment (PDOP, Elevation, Latitude, Longitude, etc.) At this point in time, if you want to autopopulate fields you would have to build the mobile application in ArcGIS Mobile and custom the data entry programmatically or perhaps the ArcPad route. Though I would be happy to be proven wrong if anyone in the community could point out the options or process to auto populate X/Y in Collector. Hope this helps and good luck!

Gavin, Miaogeng is the Esri guru for Collector on GeoNet. He's definitely the person that can help address your issue. If you can provide some more information I believe he can narrow down the problem and help you find a resolution. Good luck!

The ArcPad toolbar always checks out to an AXF file with an associated APM. When edits are made in ArcPad on the Trimble unit the updates apply to that AXF. If you still have the unit search for that AXF file and copy it locally. Open ArcMap and select Get Data From ArcPad, it will ask you for the AXF, once you select the AXF it will apply the edits back to the geodatabase or shapefile that you originally checked out from. The AXF contains the information about what it was created from, where that resides, and when it was created. Is that helpful? Also, if you deleted or don't have the original geodatabase or shapefile you can still get the content out. Let me know if you need more help.
