Thanks Jayanta, that workflow is helpful though I still need to address the error as I imagine other users may attempt this route and come to me with questions . Still looking for help from the community but I will place a ticket with Esri as well. Thanks again!

Jayanta, I just double checked this and yes, we have configured ArcGIS Server for both http and https. Interesting to note, in testing this out we ran across a workflow to successfully publish a web using the configurable out of the box templates. If I open the map you would like to publish and select Share – Make A Web Application (from the toolbar within the map), everything works correctly and the configurable app builds and saves without error. But it still errors out when I try to build the same web app from My Content, Select - Create – App - Using a Template.

Appears to be http, link below but is internal and inaccessible. Any ideas? http://arcgis.apachecorp.com/portal/home/webmap/configureApp.html?appid=219f50ea39f943648cf57c1caed226b8

When you install Portal for ArcGIS (10.3) should the complete set of configurable app templates be installed and accessible out of the box or does is require some configuration or additional installs? When I try to create a web app using a template I can see thumbnails and descriptions of all of the templates but when I choose a template I receive the below error. It seems like I may have missed something in the original install? Configurable Web App Templates appear to be available Once selected the contents is inaccessible "404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable"

I don't believe any of Esri's basemaps, even those designed for export, are content which can be run against the Create Tile Package tools. The Tile Package tools are only for local content or services which you host. You can take the Esri basemaps offline through tools within the Collector app but the file size is limited to less than 5MB. Outside of the Collector app offline tools I do not know a way to create tile packages on the Esri basemaps. However, someone else may know of a way. Hope this is helpful and good luck.

Darren's on the money with all the options. Of the available options I would suggest Model Builder. Here's a quick video on how to get started with Model Builder. I think you'll find it easy to build models by dragging familiar tools from ArcCatalog onto the canvas and interacting with common dialogues to create the joins/outputs etc. It will take some time to add and create the 48 features and joins but all you have to do is build it once then you can run it quickly each month when you receive updates.

Esri Support helped me resolve the issue. There where two different issues that once fixed allowed for the services to be successfully published. I had some of the locators in SDE. I rebuilt the locators and composite locators outside of SDE (stand alone no fgdb). I had to share the correct folder directory to the ArcGIS Server Data Store. The Esri StreetMap Premium locators reference datatables that are not directly stored in the "Locator" folder. You have to view the properties of each individual locator and ensure the location of referenced features/tables are registered in the Server Data Store. Once these two steps where implemented I was able to successfully publish a geocoding service without copying all of the contents to ArcGIS Server. However, when publishing a Composite Locator to ArcGIS Server the composite locator (itself) is always copied to the server. Though this is a very small file and only references where to find the other locators, no data is transferred. Hope this is helpful to someone having the same issue.

I receive an error (001370) while attempting to publish a composite geocoding service to ArcGIS Server (10.3.1). The composite locator is a licensed Esri StreetMap Premium locator for USA which references 7 other locators. Based on the error log I am pretty confident my error is a memory issue on the server itself. When publishing the service the analyze tool indicates the contents will be copied to the server. The file size of the composite geocoding service is in excess of 20 GBs, the publishing runs for several hours before returning the error. The server has enough physical space on the hard drive (30 GBs available) but for some reason memory or RAM appears to be the issue. In attempts to publish this service I have Registered the folder of the Locators with the ArcGIS Server Data Store but it still wants to copy the contents to the Server which results in an error. My Server is one of 2 federated servers with Portal for ArcGIS (10.3.1). The geocoding service is to be published and used by Portal, replacing the Esri default geocoding service. Any help is appreciated, also, I have placed a ticket with Esri but thought putting it out to the community wouldn't hurt.

RJ, After further testing with the help of Esri Support we identified the server hosting the JSON had a certificate issue. GeoEvent does work with HTTPS. The site hosting the JSON is using the GoDaddy G2 Cert. GeoEvent Server does not trust that Certificate because its incomplete. This is s known issue about the G2 Cert. This Cert sometimes isn't complete. Certain Intermediate Certs are missing from the chain. The link below explains the issue in more detail. It also proposes a fix for the issue. http://tozny.com/blog/godaddys-ssl-certs-dont-work-in-java-the-right-solution/

RJ thank you for the reply and suggestions. I see you emailed me with further information so I'll reply back to that and hopefully this is a quick resolution and not a bug as you suggest.

Created a Support Ticket with Esri this morning but still looking for help if you can. In additional testing GeoEvent Processor can consume the JSON on a non https site (http), everything passes through and updates correctly, from input to output and updating a feature service. So, it’s a security (https) issue though not sure how to resolve it or whether it is a bug.

I could use some help with a GeoEvent Processor error that I am receiving when I try to Poll and external HTTPS website for JSON (input connector) using GeoEvent Processor Manager 10.2.2. Posting the log below and by the looks of it this is some type of certification error? Would this be a certification issue on my server or on the website which host the JSON? In short, we are working with a third party to track CalAmp Location Messaging Units (LMU). The third party is providing the LMU feed (currently test data) in JSON format in an effort to easily integrate with the out of the box GeoEvent Processor Input Connectors. One important note is that I can successfully navigate to the website while logged in to the server which GeoEvent Processor is installed on. From the server we added the site as Trusted website. Does GeoEvent Processor support HTTPS? external website in JSON format https://login.gaugesmart.com/API/Assets/88037cd15f884f1a9a7a29a18fd79296 Log 1: Failed to get a respon88037cd15f884f1a9a7a29a18fd79296se from https://login.gaugesmart.com/API/Assets/ Log 2: Second attempt failed. Ben, Jesus, Did either of you find the resolution to this issue. I'm seeing something similar with the StreetMap Premium North American Navteq Dataset 2014 Release 3. Thanks for any input. Ben

Nicole, Are you still working on this issue? Is it possible that one of the address locators which the USA_2014R2_TT_Composite address locator references is adding a custom field to the output? You can check each address locator referenced by the Composite and identify the Output parameters. I have a screen shot below of the Output dialog for a local address locator. Hope this is helpful and good luck.
