There are 8 predefined traces in ArcGIS Pro 2.5 for UN: Connected, Subnetwork, Subnetwork Controllers, Upstream, Downstream, Loops, Shortest Path and Isolation. They were all differently defined in Pro 2.5 for use with the UN. I use Subnetwork all time as I am presently converting our Geometric Water Network to UN and creating our low/high pressure zones in the Water Distribution Utility Network Foundation. As soon as I loaded ArcGIS Pro 2.6 they are still available but have all changed to the same generic Trace Pane. For example Subnetwork had predefined barriers such as closed valves, etc. Hope I explained that correctly (I am bad on terminology in UN), wondering if anyone else has seen the same. I'll probably have to put a ticket in for it after the long weekend here, working a bit from home.

I used LGIM to create Water/Stormwater/Sanitary models based on the Geometric Network for our Municipal Govt in standalone geodatabases. As best I can see LGIM is dead given ESRI is moving ahead with the Utility Network (UN) which is a separate Add-on for Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro. I am however converting our models to Utility Network using a local geodatabase in ArcGIS Pro. UN in a local geodatabase is still quite buggy and I am having issues with my water model.

"but it is limited to that single user and cannot be published to the mobile environment or as a map or feature service". I use the local govt geometric network as a single user and publish to ArcGIS for our staff. I obviously want to move on but can't as our local municipal govt is too small for Enterprise. Is it true Utility Network is coming for ArcGIS Online and might provide that solution? I need a roadmap to understand where we are going, I want to get off geometric network and move to ArcGIS Pro.

I have our entire municipal system put into CMDM, see the attached photo. For the From/To I use the Attribute Assistant to populate these fields with FacilityID of the structure at the pipe junctions. I have used AA quite success as part of the Local Gov Water Geometric Network but have never been able to use the Configuration Files pull down box at the the the bottom of the AA Config and Log File Window. (see attached). Do I need a certain file name/configuration defined for custom configs? I've tried .config files without any luck such as sewer.config, storm.config, etc.

I have exactly the same problem in printing maps and if it's it's huge I'd rather not send it to the printer first. For these problematic maps I must print to PDF first, then print. I would welcome a built in print preview.

You're right on the money only it's worse. You have to have ArcGIS Enterprise to run the Utility Network and the Utility Network itself is another paid extension on top of that.

Some new information on this, I had the same problem with the US model after adding some of my survey data. For some reason AA doesn't like my survey points that I've added using "add xy data". Once the data is removed AA works fine.

The Canadian model just doesn't want to play with AA and is no longer supported by ESRI. I'm converting my Canadian Data Model over to the US model, so far so good. Attribute Assistant's a great product.
