Hello @TanuHoque Thanks for checking. I can try it on a 10.9.1 ArcGIS Enterprise at another office I work at but won't be able to do so right away. Hopefully within the next week...I'll post results. The steps I did were: - Create map in Pro (APRX) with a point layer coming from MS SQL Server. - Create labels and using Maplex set up rotation based on an attribute field. - Publish to ArcGIS Enterprise (Server) - In Enterprise 10.7.1, the rotated labels flip back to horizontal (rotation is removed) Thanks!

Hello @TanuHoque , I just posted a similar question regarding Maplex and Map Image Layers on ArcGIS Server. My issue is related to label rotation working in ArcMap but not ArcGIS Pro. In my case our ArcGIS Enterprise is at version 10.7.1, do you know if 10.8.1 or higher would fix this issue? Thanks!

In ArcMap I am able to use the Maplex labeling engine to rotate labels on a point layer. I can then publish this MXD to become a Map Image Layer (MapServer) in ArcGIS Enterprise (Server) and the labels in the service display the label rotation. If I try this same thing in ArcGIS Pro with the Maplex labeling engine turned on my label rotation displays properly in the Pro APRX project but the resulting Map Image Layer displays the labels horizontally (i.e. the rotation is removed). If I change the Pro labeling engine back to the Standard one and publish as a Map Image Layer then the rotation works. Though now I loose the enhanced capabilities of the Maplex engine. Esri documentation states that the Maplex engine is available in Pro but only recommended for cached maps. Even if cached is the recommendation, I'm still curious to know if Maplex is supported in non-cached services (Map Image Layer) as it was in ArcMap. Is this a bit of functionality that Pro is missing? Is it possibly related to the versions I'm using? ArcGIS Pro version 2.9.2 (latest update) Enterprise (ArcGIS Server) version 10.7.1 (perhaps this older version is the culprit?) Enterprise database (SQL Server) version 10.8.1 Thanks!

Just started using the Share widget in Web AppBuilder (WAB) to obtain direct links to specific map areas and layer visibilities. Also, we have been using URL parameters to link external apps to our map via a common ID for awhile now. Both work great in WAB! This functionality should definitely be added to Experience Builder, as we would really like to utilize the new web map layer grouping functionality that is offered there. Unfortunately the layer grouping does not work in WAB, so we are trapped between two apps each containing separate pieces of the critical functionality puzzle.

Thanks for clarifying. When I ran it against the zip the hash matches for me as well.

When I download the "log4shellmitigation" python script I am not seeing the same Windows hash # that is listed in the How To instructions for ArcGIS Server. Has the hash # been changed and this document is out of date? Last updated on 12/16, today is 12/17. I cleared my cache and tried other browsers, as suggested in the How To.

The full URL is this: https://[[myportal.domain.com]]/server/rest/services/[[foldername]]/[[featureservicename]]/FeatureServer/[[layerid]]/[[featureObjectID]]/attachments/[[ATTACHMENTID]] Where all the [[Bold]] entries above will differ in your environment. [[featureObjectID]] is the ObjectID of the feature layer and [[ATTACHMENTID]] is the unique identifier in the ATTACH table. Here is how it looks: https://gis.organization.org/server/rest/services/foldername/featureservicename/FeatureServer/10/23263/attachments/22290

At least in the JavaScript 3.x Dashboard and Web Maps, it does not appear that you can include attachment photos directly embedded in the dashboard lists. I think Dennis' example has a manually calculated attribute at the parent feature-level (which has to be manually updated as attachments change). There is a way to include a link to the attachments in the lists. Though it's not the most elegant solution because it takes the users to the REST endpoint in a new browser tab. URL is determined from the REST endpoint of the map service (I used "QueryAttachments" to determine the URL) https://[[myportal.domain.com]]/server/rest/services/[[foldername]]/[[featureservicename]]/FeatureServer/[[layernameID]]/{OBJECTID}/attachments/{ATTACHMENTID} The [[bold]] items above will differ for your environment.

We have a dashboard that contains multiple tabs (maps+lists+serial charts stacked on top of each other and grouped). Right now I can only add Category Selector(s) at the dashboard-level in a header or side panel, meaning I can't have individual Category Selectors show up only on a specific tab with data that applies to it. This enhancement would be useful. There is a workaround where I could embed dashboards within dashboards via the Embedded Content option, but this presents other limitations that won't work for us.

This might be a bug that was introduced in the 9/29 AGOL update: We weren't having problems earlier this week and we started seeing issues yesterday. I am curious if anyone else encounters this problem. Our workflow is uploading various Excel files to become a hosted feature layer or tables. We have a dashboard where users upload daily Excel files that come from an outside source. I'm not sure if data formats beyond Excel have the same problem. These Excel tables that have less-than-ideal attribute column header names that start with "bad" characters: some start with leading space, some with _ and some with numbers 0-9. Generally not good database design. Prior to 9/29 these uploaded fine and worked with the web maps and apps. If there was a space AGOL automatically added an underscore to the hosted feature layer name. All other ones did not give us errors. Starting today, AGOL is automatically adding an "F" character before these characters. This causes the web maps and apps to break because they can no longer find the original column names. We decided to change our column names prior to publication to remove the spaces and numbers and have adjusted our apps. But I can see the leading number example being a particular problem for some users. Also, it is possible there are other bad characters that will cause this problem. Attached are 2 picture examples of the column names with the added "F" in our REST services. Note that the "F" is not added to the alias, only the column name.

Big-time vote up, especially for the user-controlled ability to switch between Light and Dark (Night) mode. Right now we have to create and maintain 2 versions of a dashboard to accomplish this which adds administrative overhead. #dashboard night mode #dashboard dark mode #user control

Thanks for the information. Yes it won't work in our case this time but it is good to know for the future.
