i would love to see this as well! a work-around for right now is enabling COGO on your line feature class and then using the Update COGO tool to get the arc length for your curve.

@KoryKramer the problem is if I do everything locally, my data is not backed up. The server is backed up nightly. so i'm stuck between this lag and losing everything if someone in my office opens the wrong email.

@AmirBar-Maor there's still a 10 second gap between pressing enter on a new line and it actually committing. I'm running 2.8.3, my data is in a file database on a server. there are no network issues. I don't have the spare time to open a ticket a the moment.

Right? I've gone through the basic troubleshooting steps. Tried remaking everything and I'm pretty sure it's not an issue on my end. I'm going to try turning off auto apply though, as nice of an idea that feature was.

@jcarlson it's in a file geodatabase on a network server. I can shave a little bit of time if I abandon all of the symbology that I used to use for easily identifying what streets need ranges input but I still end up having to sit and wait for the "Updating attributes" window to close. It might only be 10 seconds or whatever, but when I have several dozen streets to do? It really adds up between 4 fields and multiple segments for each street. The traverse problem as been especially infuriating, as I clearly recall being able to breeze through keying calls for a huge creak meander in ArcMap's parcel fabric but now it easily takes three times as long. Same network location, same file geodatabases, etc.

There is a significant lag in the time between I enter a value in the Attributes menu and it actually accepting that value, going through the whole ordeal of redrawing everything, and being done with it to move on. In my street centerlines, I have four rows: L_ADD_TO, L_ADD_FROM, R_ADD_TO, R_ADD_FROM. I put in one value and I've typed this post while I'm waiting to add another one. This has not been an isolated incident and I've been dreading updating my centerlines since I started migrating to Pro because I have a lot of updates this year. I've also encountered a similar lag issue when entering traverses that are more than just four lines. Drawing creek meanders is far far slower than in ArcMap, for instance, where there can easily be 15+ calls. It appears that Pro is checking through every single line I've entered as soon as I enter another one and it's simply inefficient.

Thanks for the tip, that seems really new as I cannot recall being able to pause topologies, just the process of removing one and remaking it. I've experienced that error every time I've tried to use Move or Rotate in a fabric environment, regardless of how many times I restart Pro. It's pretty frustrating, because it would make life easier to be able to use those tools fully.

Yeah, actually. Every time I've tried to use Rotate it tells me the layer isn't editable even though it is. Where exactly is the option to turn off topology temporarily? Because I've never seen that as an option.

I was not aware that tools like Rotate, Move, etc would work in a parcel fabric environment. edit to add: I have never successfully been able to use those tools in the parcel fabric, anyway. edit 2: Rotate does not work on parcels in a parcel fabric.

That's the problem, all the other points that belong to those two parcels need to move. It needs to rotate on that one anchor point.
