after updating to 3.6, "assign parcel to record" no longer functions and "duplicate parcels" is completely broken. has anyone else experienced this? did anyone test the parcel fabric tools out with this release? because now i have to spend more time rolling back to the last good version of pro where the tools i use every day worked edit: i rolled back to 3.5 and remade my editing project and the tools are working again

instead of using the change parcel type tool, i would: -select the parcels in the subtype you want to move to the new parcel type -use the duplicate parcels tool -delete the old parcels

this is also what I've done - it's easier to pick out what you want to keep and export the parcels to a new feature class

@AmirBar-Maor how would this (multiple maps) affect performance versus just having the button? not everyone in my org has a top of the line computer and if i roll this out and it takes them twice (if not more) as long to load, how does that solve the problem?

no problem, I personally prefer the arc length for dimensions anyway 🙂

my organization uses the chord bearing and arc distance for curve entry - if you have someone to ask for clarification in your organization I would advise you to ask.

this is one of those metes and bounds descriptions that i hate, it's got the curve parameters broken up between paragraphs. see below, the orange box is one set of parameters and the green box is the second.

there isn't a super easy way to do it as far as i know. you can, however, go to your point of commencement/point of beginning, start sketching the first couple of calls, then click the three line menu and export that traverse to a text file. you can then copy/paste your calls as long as you format them similarly. save the text file after you're done. clear the calls you just entered, then load the traverse text file the same way you exported it. it will be easier if your text editor has line numbers, as Pro will spit out an error on line xyz for any calls that don't work.

so you have your chord bearing, arc length and radius. that's the ingredients you need for a curve. in your traverse grid, enter the call as follows: *make sure chord bearing is selected on the direction drop-down and arc length selected for the 4th column* direction: n57-53-01e, enter distance: 0, enter radius: 15, enter arc length: 17.39, enter here's the documentation page: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/enter-a-traverse.htm, it's been super useful since transitioning to pro was not easy

this has been my workaround: create record for the subdivision assign all relevant existing parcels to it sketch new parcels or complete a divide go to the record menu, click "select features in active record". the parcels lacking a subtype will show up in the attributes menu and you can define them a lot easier than popping your definition query on and off. this isn't ideal and tbh I'd love to have a more elegant solution

just to try and help answer the question to azat - if it was topologically correct in the coverage, it should remain so. the import process doesn't move anything.

you may have to take all of your coverages and convert them into simple feature classes first to do clean up. that's what I had to do when we migrated to the arcmap version of the parcel fabric. we still had a ton of densified arcs that needed clean up (still do, I did not catch them all). going from editing in arc/info to pro might be easier for you though. the core set of pro fabric tools are really reminiscent of arc/info tools.
