This is an issue that I have also had to deal with Kassandra. I solved it by publishing the update as a completely new version, then advising users to switch to the completely new form. It is a bit of a mess from a data management perspective, but you can then give users a window to switch (and thanks to the metadata you can see which users haven't switched yet), then unshare the survey from the user group, download the data and archive it or upload it to the new survey as a data update in AGOL (although I haven't been able to get the attachments to work doing this just yet) Hope this helps.

Hi John, unfortunately the "supportsApplyEditsWithGlobalIds" is true, but the form still won't submit. Strange. It is a basic form, no repeats or anything like that, although it does have photo option. It was created using the web designer in September 2016.

I have started getting this error on one of my surveys (it is very old, was created in the web generator) and I use it for device testing and has become a good test survey. I upgraded to version three of the iOS app on my phone yesterday and now i can't submit the responses and i get this error (supportsApplyEdits). my iPad hasn't been updated and I can still submit responses to the same survey without a problem. I have tested another survey on my phone and I am able to submit without problems. seems a bit strange to me. Any ideas?

Yep, some basic functions were integrated in version 2.1 (World Milk Day release) https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2017/06/02/world-milk-day-release-21 See the notes under Repeat Aggregated Functions I'm not sure if they have been expanded since then as this release was a year ago. James Tedrick will be able to answer that one better. The requirements from my initial question were covered by this release.

Is there a plan to introduce this in a future release? This would be very handy for us, as some of our systems require the photos to be stored separately, so a naming convention that links photos (some of our forms have the photos in a repeat so that users can take multiple photos at a single site) would be excellent.

Thanks for this Ismael, appreciate it. We have previously attached other formats using the image upload, but I just wanted to confirm that it is officially unsupported - for now.

Hi, just wondering if there is any plans to support non-photo, video or audio attachments. I have a scenario where a user will generate a text file from a python script and they want to attach the file to a Survey123 record. Cheers Dan

Is there a register online that shows the release dates for each version? and maybe links to the release notes? I'm having trouble with keeping our fleet up to date and it would be nice to have a quick reference to go to and work out when the version was released. Just a pinned blog post would be fine, not essential just handy.

Hi James, I have a related problem (and it is similar to one that I've had previously https://community.esri.com/thread/204180-find-and-replace-character ) So I need my responses to fit some very strict business rules regarding usernames, I was able to trim off the @companyname, but i need to replace the "." symbol between firstname.lastname, as the database strictly requires a firstname[space]lastname format. I know that we previously solved a find and replace problem with some fancy footwork around changing decimals to integers, and creating a concatenated string, but this i think is a straight up find and replace problem i think. I have been trying to figure out of regex is the way to go, but put simply, my regex is atrocious!! Hope you can help Cheers Dan

Hi All, Interesting question, I need to generate a filename by concatenating a series of values from the survey form. One of these values has been changed from an integer to a decimal field, meaning that decimal points are now an issue. The user would like to replace the "." with a "p", however I am unsure how to make this happen as a calculate in S123. Is it even possible? Help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Dan

I have a related question, I am trying to make multiple values (options) pass the relevant criteria. My idea was that it would be something like: ${issuewiththing1} = 'yes', 'sortof', 'abit' or in my case: ${activity} = ('D', 'S', 'R') where D, S and R are select_one options (five options, relevant question for three of those options) I really wanted to avoid having to write it as ${activity} = 'D' or ${activity} = 'S' or ${activity} = 'R' Advice is greatly welcome.

Hi Erick, I have exactly this problem too. We are trying to implement an asset tracking form, but being able to lookup a central CSV or database that can be updated would be perfect. JTedrick-esristaff, any word on this functionality?
