I have saved an rtf file with he full text as there is quite a lot of it. I was able to install this version on my PC at work without incident, but I have run several previous versions on my MacBook without issue. I did initially attempt to install it without first uninstalling it (thinking that the install would remove the previous version)

Thanks for the advice Marika, but unfortunately still no luck. Have run the installer and the uninstaller you have shown above twice this afternoon but get the same result. I have not been attempting the scripts, but I'm about to give that a go. The green splash screen pops up for a couple of seconds and the crashes and I get the message below with no further information about what has caused the crash I am trying to install version 2.0.41 of Survey123 Connect, downloaded from the website this afternoon: I am using macOS Sierra v10.12.4

Hi all, It's a long way off I know, but I was just wondering what kind of presence the Survey123 team has at the Dev Summit? Unfortunately I am not able to make it over to the UC, but I might be able to make it over for the Dev Summit in 2018.

Thanks Michael, this is very helpful and a good way to deal with this issue. Just something that has been bothering me and that I haven't been able to find a quick answer to; Is a note field written to the final database or is for display only?

So my forms are being used in the field which is very exciting, we are getting some good feedback from the field teams on the value of the platform which is awesome. One interesting piece of feedback that I have received was a request to have a "Save button" so that progress on a form isn't lost if the tablet magically decides to shut itself down. One of the forms that we have developed is for data logging at is open all day before being submitted. I'm not 100% sure how I would implement something like an in progress save, but I think that maybe editing existing records could work? has this been implemented, and how would/does it work for offline records or records that are in the outbox waiting to be uploaded?

I have been having terrible trouble with the macOS version of Connect since I tried to upgrade to v2.0... it seems to install fine but it crashes on launch every time. Any advice/anybody else experiencing this? Also, are previous versions of Connect stored so that you can do an emergency roll-back if required? If so where do they live?

No problems! On the feedback, we are getting a lot of interest from our field teams around repeats. The ability to pre-fill data in them, to generate summary statistics from them, things like that.

Hi All, Just wondering if it is possible to make a question required based on a previous response? My example is that field teams may be collecting a duplicate sample to be sent to a different lab for analysis. For this duplicate, they would fill in the sample ID (linking it to the original sample), but would answer a question stating that this was a QC duplicate which would in turn make a range of questions that were previously mandatory no longer mandatory. I could go through and make all of these fields linked to the initial duplicate Y/N question via the relevant column, but was wondering if there was a way to do this in the required field. Cheers Dan

Is the plan to reintroduce the ability to create browser based surveys using connect at version 2.0? I have a project that this will be very useful for as the web builder is limited in it's functionality, particularly in relation to defining the backend schema and setting up groups of questions.

Thanks for that James, I've passed this on to my internal stakeholders. It isn't a deal-breaker for them using the platform, but it is definitely functionality that they are keen to see/use.

That formulas page is a fantastic resource, thanks for passing it on. I definitely came up against the null value brick wall! Thank you so much for your help, I am trying to implement Survey123 for a large field campaign about to be undertaken so no doubt I will pop up with more questions!

I'm having a similar problem, but with numbers rather than a string. I want to test to see if the user has missed field. This is different to it being a required field as the user will have the option to acknowledge that it is a valid NULL value. JTedrick-esristaff provided me some great advice on how to do the acknowledge, but the NULL test side of it has really got me chasing my tail!
