Did you perform any updates or other changes to the server and portal? If so you may need to clear the browser cache and go into the services on your server and stop/restart your arcgis server and portal services. I keep forgetting this with fixes and updates on the system. Just a thought, it may not hurt anyway.

I currently have ~100 AGOL members and I need to change the login for ~40 of the those members from AGOL login to Google login, so that they only have one login for a new field inspection application that they we are creating. Currently, I have to create new user accounts for each of them in order to allow them to use their Google login. This is more time consuming because I also need to add their groups to these new user accounts as well. It would be more productive to have the ability to change the login type on the existing user accounts. Thank you.

We recently upgraded our SQL Server and Windows Server on our production server from Windows Server 2008R2 and SQL server 2008R2 to Windows Server 2016 and SQL 17. I will qualify this by saying that I do not recommend waiting this long to perform these upgrades. However, this was a very stable environment for us for years, given that I am the only person in our agency managing our GIS environment. I just wanted to let the community know how this upgrade went. The SQL upgrade was performed first, and it went seamlessly. The test and cut over was very smooth. I had to contact our personnel to change the SQL instance to the new database, and then there were some minor items working with our enterprise SQL person. Next came the OS upgrade, this was a little more involved, because we chose to upgrade our ArcGIS Enterprise software to 10.7.1 as well. The challenge came from having to set up a new server so that we could keep our old prod server running at the same time and to add to the challenge, we have about 60 to 70 web services that we were serving as well. So, I worked with Esri support to try a few things hoping to recreate the map services on the new server without creating them manually. Esri has a backup tool for the server, that would work great if I was shutting down the old server, updating the OS on a new server, and then restoring the server to the new server keeping the original server's name. So, this was not an option. I also tried the Enterprise builder option, because this was a new server; however, I ran into some configuration issues and ended up uninstalling and reinstalling some of the components. So, what worked the best for me was following the ArcGIS 10.7 deployment instructions ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7.1 quick start guide—Quick Start Guides | ArcGIS Desktop Steps to get ArcGIS Server up and running—ArcGIS Server (Windows) Installation Guide | ArcGIS Enterprise I was able to use the saved configuration files from earlier deployments, and this worked the best for my setup.

Am I correct in thinking that you have a single server set up for ArcGIS Server/SQL Server? If so, I know you are limited to the number of users connecting to your standard license; however, you do not need a separate SQL serve license for your SDE DB. Your IT can give you a separate instance within their SQL environment for you to add your SDE DB or DB's. I have 5 SDE DB's in the same SQL server instance, that is in a centralized SQL server bank, we used one SQL server license on a separate SQL Server, to serve out all of our SQL server DB's. You do not need a separate SQL server license for each portal. Our portal user and Enterprise user hit the same SQL DB. The IT group could have separate SQL licenses for a DMZ versus internal organization SQL server environment. I hope this helps.

Tim, There should be no reason to keep the temp files, once and install, process, or upgrade is complete, then it should be OK. I have not heard of any reason, and you mention the amount of space taken up by temp files. Generally the temp files would be copies of files being run in a process as an example. We these kinds of files out there this could be false data, once you have an updated file or your processed file becomes the new production file for you.

Where do you work and what is your role? I am the GIS Manager at the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality. What GIS success have you had this year and what product did you use? I have made 2 story maps, one is for the non-point source program and one is for strategies 9 and 10 for the Governor's Water Strategy. I have created a Nitrate Vulnerability model for Laramie County, based on a modified version of the EPS DRASTIC model. I have created 2 mobil apps one for RV dump sites around the state and one for Recycling facilities around the state. What is your expertise (GIS related or not), and how can that help the community? I use GIS for Wildlife analysis and interactions with humans. I work in all aspects of GIS for the agency (data creation and utilization both internally and externally. Something to consider, are you using ArcGIS 10.6? If so something that I have seen is that after publishing the new service and I choose to share with everyone, it does not care through to the service. I need to log into ArcGIS Server Manager, choose the services button, and then choose the sharing on my service and set it to everyone in the manager. This feels like a bug, but I have not been able to report it yet. Also, when you federate your portal and ArcGIS Server, be sure to take screen shots of your server users, roles, and any other pertinent settings, because they will be overwritten with the portal, because these features will be managed by the portal after the federation. With the screen shots you will be able to recreate those users/roles much quicker.

If you go into your server admin tools then go into Services>System you should have these 2 services: PublishingTools PublishingToolsEx I ran into a similar problem when I upgraded my SDE DB to SQL 17, and I was using ArcGIS Server 10.5, I had to upgrade my Server to 10.6, because 10.5 was not compatible with 17, but one of major problems was I did not have the PublishToolsEx service. Rob, In your underlying shapefile or feature class, how about adding a new field and just call it hyperlink, then calculate the records to your hyperlink URL, then it will be available in your popup in collector, you may have to choose that field to be displayed.
