Nick Thanks for the reply. I just figured it out this morning. I was attempting to access our hyperlinked drawings which are on our server from wifi instead of "VPN" into our server once I did that they work as they should. Thanks again. Erik

So I just downloaded and tried this app. At first glance it seems pretty cool. But how do I get my hyperlinks to pop-up. a new window opens up but the image does not display. And I know they work because they show up when I use the map through AGOL on my iPad. And have been using them for awhile. Erik

So I have a map that our field crews access by logging into AGOL. But the one thing they asked about was being able to zoom in closer to intersections to see our valves and water main connections. I know that you can tweak the LOD in the flex applications. But is it possible to override the LOD that is available with the basemaps in AGOL. Any help would be great thanks. Erik

So I have been trying to register a folder in server manager and I follow the instructions and it says that I was successful in registering the folder and when I go to validate it it says it is fine as well. However when I go to publish a service with data in that folder it tells me that data is not registered with server and will be copied to server. So why does it tell me in manager that my folder was registered successfully but then when I publish it tells me it is not registered with the server. I believe that I have made all folders accessible to the server. I am just not sharing the folders right? I have had success in registering my SDE GDB. and that works fine. it is just the registering of folders that i am having this issue. Any help would be great. Thanks Erik

We have recently installed AVL devices on our vehicles. I have a map with our vehicle locations which is a service that is being accessed from the company we hired to install the devices GIS server. We created our own vehicle id table/list that shows what vehicle belongs to what employee. We did this because we needed a more simplified table then the one tied to the service from the company. My question is: Is it possible to have this table be displayed in the application. I saved it as an html document. Didn't know if there was any way to add this to the map and have it display. Just wondering if anybody has any ideas. Erik

How do I go about enabling a project for High-Accuracy data collection. I have my project loaded on my device and when I go to the gps settings and click on the field configuration it tells me "You must open a project enabled for high-accuracy data collection before selecting field configuration" Can someone clarify what that means or how I go about doing that. Maybe I don't even need it? Not sure. Just starting out with windows mobile. Thanks in advance for any help Erik

Just wondering if anybody has a advice on simplifying our hyperlinks. We currently have two fields for our layers that have documents linked to them. (We are a govt agency that operates water and sewer lines through out the county. So we obviously have engineering drawings etc attached to our water and sewer lines.) One field is called "HLink" this field is used when the hyperlink is being accessed using our desktop GIS or ArcReaders. The second field is called "hyperlinkPDF" this link field is used when we want to access our drawings using our flex applications. and for these we set up a vitural directory to our links folder. So my question is how can I eliminate having to populate two fields and only use one which can access our as-builts from our web applications and or arcreaders and desktops. just so you have an understanding of the file structure below shows how the two fields are populated. "HyperlinkPDF" field (this is used to access as-builts through flex applications) http://ourserver/flexviewer/LINKS/WATERpdf/W399-13.pdf[/url] "Hlink" field (this is used to access as-builts from arcreader and desktop) W:\LINKS\WATERpdf\W399-18.pdf Any advice would be great. Trying to limit field population time and simplify my work flow. Would "Attachment" work instead of using hyperlinks Erik

Hello. So I just recently installed 10.1 sp1 server. I did have web adapter installed but uninstalled it for now. I have been able to publish a service to our new server. My question is with the config settings in server manager. When I have the settings set-up like this: User Store: ArcGIS Server Built-in Role Store: ArcGIS Server Built-in Authentication Tier GIS Server Authentication Mode: ArcGIS Tokens I am able to access the service directory and view my service... But when I have my config settings set-up like this: User Store: Windows Domain Role Store: ArcGIS Server Built-in Authentication Tier Web Authentication Mode: Web And I try to access my published service in the services directory and view it from manager I get this: Error: User does not have permissions to access 'lite_gis_web_map10.1.mapserver' Code: 403 The reason we want the config settings set-up from windows domain is so that we don't need to remember yet another password. Any help would be great. Erik
