Nidhinkn One more question. what folder is this located in. Or is it an extension when installing server. I have downloaded all server software from our customer care site. Or this a special request?

Nidhinkn Thanks for the response. Where do I find SQL server native client? Is it a download from microsoft? If so is it "Microsoft ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server" or is it "Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R@ Feature Pack" Or something else. Erik

Hello. So I am currently installing 10.1 server on our test environment. I am now trying to register my sde gdb with the server. When I try to do this from Catalog I get the following error message... "Machine:Our server.company.org[Default SDE: The connection property set was missing a required propserty value was unrecognized. Connection was attempted with an older version of SQL Server client communication software that is not compatible with the SQL Server database server.] We are still currently using our 10 environment so do I need to upgrade our sde to 10.1 or ?.... Bubba, I appreciate your help. But what you just said might as well been written in Chinese because I didn't understand any of it (LOL). This is my first time installing server so this side of the gis is still a learning curve for me. I understand about where to find the keycode file. But the renaming thing confused me. Also is our sde gdb that we created with 10 going to be compatible with 10.1 or do we need to create a new one for 10.1? Again, thanks for your help and quick response. Erik

hello GIS peeps. So I have just installed 10.1 server on our test environment along with SP1. My question is I am at the step now where you are need to reauthorize our enterprise (sde gdb). First off where do I find the keycodes file. and second. If I do change the keycodes with the update key operation. Will I still be able to have access to the sde using my ArcGIS 10 environment i.e. 10 server ArcMap 10 etc. Erik

I was wondering how you go about using a web app downloaded from AGOL without having to sign in to your AGOL acct when the app is launched from our Web server. I downloaded the two pane template app from AGOL after I created and shared a map in AGOL. I understand how to open the index.html and put in my "appid" or "mapid". But when I go to open the app it asked for my AGOL. We like the style of the two pane app for this particular map that we want to share with people inside our organization. We just don't want them to have to enter another password username because they already have to do that with other items. We already have a few flex apps that I have built and am aware of those. But we like the two pane look. So I guess my question is will having a proxy url allow our users to open the app without being asked to sign into AGOL. I kind of rambled and hope what I am asking makes sense Erik

Jin. When I authorize my licenses for both servers does it automatically split the licenses in to two cores for each server or do I have to specify this in the installation process. Because right now we have a server running server 10. We just got a new server started which will have our 10.1 licenses installed on it. We want to do want you guys did as having the new server be our test environment. So that we can still have 10 running for our employees while we do the migration to 10.1. Any documentation that you could point me to or any advice that you could lend would be great. Thanks again Erik

Does anyone know if it is possible to have a pmf automatically refresh every so many seconds. can this be done in the mxd then published? Erik

Hello. We are currently using ArcReader 10 for publishing maps. When I publish my map (mxd) using feet as my map units that gets carried over to my published document. However if I set my map units to Decimal degrees. (which is the one that I want) and publish the map the map units in ArcReader display as degrees minutes seconds. Was wondering if anybody had any ideas on how to get ArcReader to display my map units as decimal degrees like the mxd. instead of the degrees minutes seconds. Erik

But how do I go about adding new feature class tables and feature classes that we created in our SDE default GDB (The parent to our replica) into our existing replica. Erik

Hello everybody. I got an email back on Aug 8th saying that we would be receiving a free acct user and additional credits with our GIS licenses. I have not yet got an email from ESRI saying that we have received them. Anybody know how to get these applied to our Account? Erik
