Hi Chris, The issues that you are encountering are indeed related to the GeoNet thread that you referenced. We are still investigating the exact reason for the error, but, form complexity and the number of maps included in the template are thought to be some contributing factors. Please keep in mind, the report functionality is still in Beta, and we are working to improve the performance for when it is officially released. For the time being, please remain patient with the delays that you are encountering. Thanks, Brandon

Hi Tara, As mentioned via email, this issue is being caused by a Feature layer setting that prevents non-admin users from submitting surveys that contain an attachment. In particular, if the setting ‘Editors can only edit their own features’ is selected for the “What features can editors edit” section of a feature layer participating in a survey, error 1003 may be encountered by non-admin users attempting to submit a survey containing attachments. In order to address the issue, it was necessary to return the default setting on the the feature layer to ‘Editors can edit all features’, and republish. After doing so, non-admin users were able to submit surveys containing attachments without error. This current misalignment with ArcGIS Online feature service settings affecting Survey123 surveys is being looked at, and will be addressed in a future release of ArcGIS Online. Best Regards, Brandon

Hi Brent, Please refer to the following document regarding syntax that can be used when displaying/editing repeat records via the Inbox... Prepare for editing existing survey data—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS I believe the syntax you are look for is 'query=' in the bind::esri:parameters column of the begin_repeat row. This should allow for all records within the repeat to be displayed without allowing edits. Best, Brandon

Hi Sri, Please provide more information related to your situation. I am able to publish the attached XLSForm using the latest version of Survey123 Connect (2.8) without error. Answers to the following questions would be helpful... 1. What version of Survey123 Connect are you using? 2. Does the error occur after attempting republish an existing survey? 3. If so, what changes were made from the original? (Consider downloading the XLSForm of the currently published survey and uploading it to this thread) Best, Brandon

Hi Lance, Thank you for reporting this behavior with the strike through appearance occurring when a repeat count is set to the value of a previous answer which involves a select_one question. We are aware of this issue and have it listed in our backlog to fix for an upcoming release of Survey123. I will add your comments to the existing issue so that we can notify you when a fix has been implemented. Thank you also for listing the workarounds that you have found. Best Regards, Brandon

Hi Joe, A little late, but wanted to provide an update for anyone that does come across this post. Survey123 DOES provide the ability to generate reports! Please refer to the linked documentation and Blog below for more info. If you are not already leveraging this capability, please try it out and let us know what you think! Hi Tara, In terms of getting of getting more information related to the error, please have your staff members encountering the issue capture an error log using the following steps on one or both of their iPad devices... Open Survey123 field app Navigate to ‘Settings’ from hamburger menu in top right corner Select ‘Diagnostics’ from the bottom menu Turn logging on Go through attempt to submit survey which generates ‘1003’ error You can then use iTunes to extract the ArcGIS folder from the Survey123 app which will contain the error logs. If possible, can you please send one or both of these logs to barmstrong AT esri.com? Thank you, Brandon

Hi Joshua, As explained via email, after taking a look at your XLSForm, I see that you are writing to an ArcGIS Server service. Unfortunately, the ability to reference attachments from a service hosted on ArcGIS Server or ArcGIS Portal is not currently supported when generating Reports from the Survey123 website. Although this has been given preferential priority to address, there is not an exact timeline for when this capability will be implemented. The limitation regarding attachments with image questions when generating reports from Portal services is listed in this Blog. The same issue that is preventing attachments from being utilized in Reports is also likely causing the duplication of Photos in the Individual Response window. Again, we are working to enable these capabilities as soon as possible. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this information. Best Regards, Brandon

Hi Shannon, After taking a look at your XLSForm, and reproducing the issue on an iOS device, it looks like you are encountering an issue that we have recently identified as a BUG. The issue is currently logged in Technical Support as ‘BUG-000113684 : Surveys with multiple Repeats with Repeat Counts added crash upon opening in the Survey123 Field App for iOS’. As insinuated by the title of the bug, the issue is related to the presence of repeat counts in the survey. Please try to remove the repeat counts from the XLSForm, republish, and redownload to your iOS device and then attempt to open again. For the time being, it will be necessary to omit the repeat counts if you are looking to take the survey on an iOS device, but please be aware that we intend to fix this in the future. One other note: If you do have access to Esri Technical Support, I would recommend creating a case and having them add you to this bug. This helps us maintain record of how many people are affected by this behavior. Best Regards, Brandon

Hi Andrew, Good to hear that the 'Data' page is loading successfully using Edge. Please let us know what you find in regards to Chrome. As for the error that you are encountering when attempting to view individual responses, you are correct in that the relationship between the parent layer and the related table needs to be based on a globalid and parentglobalid. Please take a look at the following Blog, if you have not already, and review the 'Limitations when working with repeats in your XLSForm' section towards the bottom. Let me know if this information helps. Best, Brandon

Hi April, If you are not already, can you please try to generate a report with the default template for the survey? Do you get the same error? How many reports do you typically run each day, and how many in a row? There is a chance that the error is due to an attempt for too many reports of varying complexity being generated at the same time. Please try again, as well as with the default template and let us know your results. Thanks, Brandon

Hi Andrew, There are not any changes that have taken place that would be leading to the inability to access the 'Data' section of the Survey123 website. If possible, please answer the questions below and try the recommendations listed. 1. Which browser are you using when encountering the issue? Please try on a 2nd or 3rd browser and let us know if there are different results. 2. You mentioned a 'user' also encountering the same behavior. Are they attempting to view records from the same survey? 3. How was the survey created, using Survey123 Connect, or the Web Designer on the Survey123 website? If possible, would you be able to share the 'Viewer' capabilities to the survey via the 'Collaborate' options and/or the XLSForm that was used to create the survey? If so, please let me know so that I can send you my email and AGOL username. Thanks, Brandon
