Hi Chris, As we found while speaking over the phone, the resolution was to add a field called 'Species_other' to your feature service, and then republish your survey using Survey123 Connect. After downloading the published survey to the field app and submitting a survey, we observed that the values were written appropriately into the 'Species_other' field. We discussed performing a post submission field calculation on the data to transfer the values to the desired 'Species' field. Try to remove row 14 from the XLSForm and publish again. The idea was to add the field to the feature service so that it will act as a placeholder for you 'select_one_burrow_species or_other' question. There should not be a need to have the 'burrow_species_other' question in the XLSForm/survey. You don't need to create Please try to remove this question, republish, and let me know your results.

Hi Chris, It appears that you may have created your survey based off of an existing feature service. As the message reflects, the field does not currently exist in the feature service being referenced by Survey123 Connect and therefore does not have a place in the schema to write the values that would be collected. In order to resolve this error, please try to manually add the field to the feature service using ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Pro. The name of the field that you will want to add is 'burrow_species_other' so that the schema will already be present in the service that you are looking to create a survey from. Once you have added this field to the feature service, please try to publish your XLSForm again using Survey123 Connect. Let us know how it goes. Thanks, Brandon

Hi Jordan, I've just tested the ability to update (added 2 text questions) and republish a survey using Survey123 Connect v.2.8, and then refreshed the same existing survey's inbox using the field app without any issue. Can you give us more details? What are the specifications of your Portal? How many records are being returned to the Inbox? What device(s) do you encounter the issue with? Hi Lea, Please try the following... 1. Navigate to C:\Users\<username>\ArcGIS\AppStudio\Settings 2. Open the .json file with the most current date 3. Set the "Portal/url" to an empty string 4. Hi Ian, Geopoint calculations should be working in the web app. Can you take a look at the 'Calculate Location from CSV' Sample in Survey123 Connect and ensure that the same syntax is being applied to your XLSForm for the calculation? Specifically, ensure that the 'concat' function is being used as opposed to the '+' operator. Hi Gabriel, Can you please check to see if you are able to see the data in the ArcGIS Online Map Viewer? You can load the feature service in the Map Viewer by looking for the survey folder in your ArcGIS Online Content folder and choosing to 'Open in Map Viewer'. If you cannot see the data here please let us know, and then try the method Sverker Norlander mentioned, clearing the browser cache and trying again.

Hi Jordan, Assuming that a 'geopoint' question is included with the survey, you can click on the location button in the map display. If there is not a geopoint question included with the survey, the map view and location button will not be visible, and Survey123 will attempt to capture the device's location. Hi Braulio, The 502 error is related to the same issue(s) that others are encountering with regards to reporting. As a reminder, report generation is still in beta, and we are working to address these errors before official release. We are continuing to investigate the cause, but it should be intermittent. As for the error when using the QA site, please keep in mind that this a beta site, and therefore it is used for internal testing of beta features.
