I am having an issue with creating mobile map packages with a definition query applied. I have a single layer I am trying to create a MMPK from. I set up a definition query based on a date field where anything before a certain date is filtered out. After applying the definition query, I have 4,339 records. But when I create a MMPK from that layer, the MMPK has 0 records. If I remove the definition query from the layer, then all of the records appear in the MMPK. I am able to replicate this behavior when reading the MMPK in both ArcGIS Pro and Explorer. Are definition query's not compatible with MMPK's?

Just to update, I can replicate this on two different deployments of ArcGIS Server.

Thank you, that resolved that issue. I am running into a different issue now though. Using the ArcGIS Server (Web) option works fine for me, but when I use the ArcGIS Server (FS) option to read the logs directly, it often gives me an error message, even when using the same time period when it works successfully with the web option. I get an error message saying: Could not collect logs! Problem streaming the log (log name). The data from the following line was not in the expected format. It then gives a specific line from the log. I don't immediately notice any issues with the line, it appears to be formatted the same as all of the other lines. I've experienced the error message above from multiple log files, it isn't just isolated to one instance.

I am trying to configure the System Log Parser and I am getting the following error message: Could not collect logs! The required Token Service URL was undefined. Please ensure the Token Service URL is defined at https://servername/arcgis/rest/info. I went to that URL and the Token Service URL is in fact not defined, but I can't find any documentation on how to fix it. How am I able to set the URL so I can get the System Log Parser to work?

I currently have two ArcGIS Servers that are high availability (active-active). I have experienced a failure with one of them and I couldn't find much documentation about the error message in the logs. The first error message I received in the logs is: "Failed to initialize server object 'name of feature service': 0x80043007: Xml Parsing failed. Reason:Not enough storage is available to complete this operation." Since we have HA, the config-store is on a file share and it has 70TB of space free, and the server itself has 400GB free. After the first error message, I receive the error message saying: "Error performing query operation Wait time of the request to the service 'name of feature service' has expired." I restarted the ArcGIS Server service on the machine that failed and I then started receiving tons of the following error messages in the logs: "Unable to process request. Error handling service request :Could not find service. Service may be stopped or it may not be configured." Even though the other machine was operating normally, it caused Portal to be unresponsive until I shut down the ArcGIS Server service on the failed machine. Any ideas on what the issue is? I can't turn on the failed machine now because it will crash our production Portal site.

Yes, I do have a recovery.conf. I renamed it and restarted portal, and it now allows me to save content. Then after doing that, it allowed me to move the content directory back to the local drive of the new machine without giving me the original error message I posted in my original post above. I think that fixed it!

Also, assuming both machines were registered in Portal Admin, would there a way to be able to trick Portal into thinking the primary machine was down, therefore promoting the standby machine to primary and at least seeing if it allows me to create new content then?

I tried to create a new map and I receive the following error message: Creating the item 'Test1' failed (DBUtil.doUpdateTransaction(): failed, ). So it does appear to be in read-only mode. Is there any way to get it out of read-only mode? I double checked and the only machine registered with Portal is the new machine. I've already removed the old machine from portal admin. The entire C:\arcgisportal directory also has full permissions to the service account of Portal.

If you are referring to step 4 under "Migrate a machine running Portal for ArcGIS" in this article where I unregister the primary/old machine with the new machine, then yes I have done that. Migrate to new machines—Portal for ArcGIS (10.6) | ArcGIS Enterprise

Hello, Thank you for your response. I did verify the content directory (both the middle step of the file share location and the final destination of the content directory) have full permissions to the folder. I'm logging into Windows as the same account as the Portal service account is running as, and it has full administrative privileges. I also verified the entire arcgisportal folder has full permissions as well. I do have a case open with ESRI Technical Support, and the person I am working with watched me follow the migration procedures step by step and he couldn't find anything unusual or anything I'm doing wrong.

I am in the process of migrating Portal to a new machine. I am following ESRI's documentation to migrate to a new machine, but I am having issues when changing the content directory on the new machine from the shared network location to the local drive of the new machine. This is the error I am receiving in the Portal Administrator Directory after providing the new file path: com.esri.arcgis.portal.admin.core.PortalException: java.lang.Exception: Rollback: SQLException in put, Batch entry 0 UPDATE cp_container SET parent_container_name=NULL, etag='1551904251440' WHERE container_name='/' was aborted: ERROR: cannot execute UPDATE in a read-only transaction Call getNextException to see other errors in the batch. Any thoughts on what this could be?

Are there are any solutions to this? Is there any way we can connect to the ArcGIS Data Store and compress it? Deleting a hosted feature service and re-creating it is not an acceptable solution just to free up space.

I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this. I would really like a way for users to be able to search non-case-sensitive words in the web map.
