Currently, only the owner of the Survey123 may download the form in Survey123 connect (even if you are an admin in the Portal site). The only way around this is to either give the user the Survey123 .xls form, or to change ownership of the item in Portal. While not hard, it's kind of complicated and requires unnecessary additional steps. I propose that if you are an administrator (or have permissions to take ownership of another person's items in Portal), you should be able to download the Survey123 form in Survey123 Connect without going through the hassle of asking the owner of the item for the .xls form, or having to go into Portal and change ownership. My use case is we have multiple people who have a need to edit a single Survey123 form. Sometimes the Survey123 owner is out of the office but we have a need to modify a Survey123 form. It's a hassle to have to go in and change ownership of the Survey123 item just to update a form.

I have Portal and Portal/Server Web Adaptors installed on a Windows Server 2008 R2 server and need to upgrade the OS to 2012. What are the pros and cons of doing an in-place OS upgrade vs. migrating Portal/Web Adaptors to a new machine? Is one workflow better than the other? Also, when doing an in-place upgrade, are there any issues I need to be aware of on how an in-place upgrade interacts with the Esri software?

The 3.6.75 build appears to be working today. While I appreciate your and Esri's quick response, "upgrading" to a beta build in a production environment should not be a solution. I would expect this type of behavior in a beta build, but not a production build. We have a couple hundred users that use Survey123, so hopefully you can understand how bad a bug like this can affect us, and how introducing a beta build that may or may not be a finished product with unknown bugs could be very problematic for us. I understand that bugs happen in any software, but I'm concerned that Esri's quick release cycle is not allowing enough time for Esri to properly test its builds. I actually spoke to several people about this at the Esri UC this year, and we all share this concern. Again, thank you for your quick response and I'm looking forward to the update.

I am currently migrating to ArcGIS Pro and I have a question regarding tile cache creation. In ArcMap, I previously created tile caches by publishing a service and specify how I want to create the tiles through the Caching tab in the Service Editor box right before I publish it. In ArcGIS Pro, I no longer have those options from the publishing dialog box. Instead, I publish it as a map service, then use the Create Map Server Cache and Manage Map Server Cache Tiles tools to create the tile cache. The one issue I am running into in ArcGIS Pro is that tile cache creation is significantly slower. In ArcMap, the server cache creation would utilize all of the available instances in the CachingTools geoprocessing service. In ArcGIS Pro, it tells me that 0 instances are running, yet it is still creating the tile cache. In the Manage Map Server Cache Tiles tool parameters, it asks for the number of caching service instances. I've tried setting it to -1 (the default) as well as other numbers, but the CachingTools geoprocessing service always says 0 instances are in use (and only one instance of the CachingControllers in use). How can I get the tool to utilize all of the available instances? I went from 6 hours creation time in ArcMap to over 2-3 days in ArcGIS Pro.

Is there any way we can get the apk for a previous working version of Survey123 so we can sideload it to Android devices? We have several people who are unable to work due to this update. I know there are apk download websites out there....but I'd prefer to download an apk direct from Esri rather than a third party site.

That’s a good point, I think I was over-thinking it. I forgot you could install multiple web adaptors with the same name as long as they are on different machines. I would just install the Server and Portal web adaptor on the new machine with the same name as it is now. Thanks!

I currently have a deployment scenario where Portal and two web adaptors (portal and server) are all installed on a single machine. The server is running Windows Server 2008 and I would like to migrate Portal and the web adaptors to a new machine running a higher version of Windows. I've read Esri's documentation regarding migrating to new machines, but I can't find much about migrating web adaptors. My preferred method is to go the HA route and create a second Portal and join the two, then unregister the old Portal on 2008. But how would I migrate the web adaptors to a new machine? Is it as simple as just un-installing on the old machine, and re-install on the new machine? Or is it going to be more complicated then that?

One thing that we have to do is restart the ArcGIS Data Store Windows service in order to publish/republish Survey123 forms. We constantly have to do that. I don't know what's causing it to hang up where we have to restart the entire service, but that always fixes our problems.

It doesn't necessarily set the time default to 8:00 PM. Instead, the Portal web maps automatically convert any dates to your local time zone. The web map assumes the date stored in the database is in UTC, so it automatically does a conversion to your local time zone. If you do not specify a time in your date, then it assumes the time is midnight. Therefore when the web map does the conversion, it converts the date from 5/2/2019 12:00 midnight to 5/1/2019 8:00 PM. When viewing the data in Pro, it displays the raw data with no time zone conversions. A solution for this might be specifying a time in your data (maybe like noon) that way when the web map does the time zone conversion, it is still in the same day.

Is there a way to update an already uploaded MMPK in Portal through the Python API? In Portal, I have the option to update an already existing MMPK, but I would like to automate that in some way, and I am assuming the Python API would be the best option (but am open to any way to automate that). I've looked through the documentation and I haven't been able to find anything yet that can do this.

I am having an issue with creating mobile map packages with a definition query applied. I have a single layer I am trying to create a MMPK from. I set up a definition query based on a date field where anything before a certain date is filtered out. After applying the definition query, I have 4,339 records. But when I create a MMPK from that layer, the MMPK has 0 records. If I remove the definition query from the layer, then all of the records appear in the MMPK. I am able to replicate this behavior when reading the MMPK in both ArcGIS Pro and Explorer. Are definition query's not compatible with MMPK's?
