Ryan, How did you sign up for the Beta? It does not show up in the early adopter website as a Beta program yet. At least with my log in it doesn't. Thanks Dan

Thank you. I will be using this particular WAB app to do some data Qa\QC so it would be nice to not worry about accidentally deleting a point when I am logged in as admin. Not a big deal though as long as the subordinate users of the app can't delete points.

Hi Jianxia, I am the owner of the feature service and the administrator of the organization. When I log in to the WAB app using my admin login, I can delete features with the editor tool even though the feature layer is set to "add features only". If I log in to the same WAB app using another log-in from our organization that only has "user" rights, it does appear that I can not delete any features using the editor widget. So this seems to reflect correctly and validate what you were asking me to test. I am not sure I like this default of the admin being able to delete features in a layer you set to update or add only. But I guess as long as anyone else using it can't delete the points then I should be find. Thanks Dan

I have a point feature layer hosted in ArcGIS.com that has a related table of data. In an ArcGIS.com map, is there or will there be a way to change the map symbol based on a value in the related table? You can have the map symbol change based on a feature attribute, but I don't see an option for it to changed based on a value stored in a related table. I have a water hydrant layer that has a related table of flushing and maintenance dates. I want to have the hydrant symbol change colors based on the year it was last flushed stored in the related table. That way when the field workers open Collector for ArcGIS they can see color coded hydrants based on what needs to be flushed. I am trying to get away from having to store the year flushed a second time as a standalone feature attribute, when it is already stored in the related table. Thanks Dan

I have a (point) hosted feature layer in ArcGIS.com. The editing permissions are checked clearly to "Add Features Only". When I add this feature layer to a Web AppBuilder app (non-developer edition), with the editor widget enabled, I can click on an existing point and easily delete it. Am I missing something here? If I go back to the controlling ArcGIS.com web map I used to create the Web App, it correctly honors the "Add Features Only" designation on my point layer. Can anyone else duplicate this behavior? Thanks Dan

If you go to the new BETA Vector Basemaps group, there is an option for some of them to open in desktop. When you select this, you get a .pkinfo file that downloads. When you click on the .pkinfo, it opens in ArcGIS for Desktop, but it does not do anything, and shows up with a red X in the table of contents. Are the BETA vector basemaps not currently supported for desktop? http://www.arcgis.com/home/group.html?id=30de8da907d240a0bccd5ad3ff25ef4a

One thing that has not be answered is about how the save app state on exit is turning off all the layers inside of a grouped layer that were defaulted to being checked on in the table of contents. Is this a bug, or by design? Is anyone else seeing this behavior after the November update?

Another way is to use the custom templates group. if you save all your basemaps individually as maps saved to the custom templates group (you have to set your default basemap gallery to look to that group), you can use a "1-", "2-", "3-" prefix infront of the basemap name. When you add the basemap widget, it will honor that numbering as it sorts the basemap tiles. You simply have to click on each one and remove the number in WAB. If you want to reorder the basemap tiles, simply go back to your custom templates group, and change the number pre-fix, then go to WAB and remove the basemap widget, and re-add it, which will prompt it to reorder the basemap choices. So that is my duct tape and bubble gum method, which will take just as long up front as adding them manually into WAB, but will be much quicker in the long run especially if you have multiple applications you are building.

Thanks Robert. I am not sure why I didn't think of that. Up too late last night watching the Patriots beat my Buffalow Bills I guess. here is the list of new zoom level scales. http://server.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/World_Street_Map/MapServer

When using the non-developer edition of Web AppBuilder, is there a way yet to reorder the basemaps in the basemap gallery widget? Currently if you add a new basemap, it gets added to the end of the line, but there does not appear to be a way to reorder them, short of deleting them all, and adding them back in the order you want them displayed.

ESRI announce new enhanced resolution basemap zoom scale ranges for zoom scales 20 to 23. Does anyone know what those exact scales are so I can type them into WAB as additional scale ranges? It would appear that you just divide zoom level 19 by 2, and then 20 by 2, and so on, but figured I would ask if anyone knew the exact number to the 6th decimal place. so if zoom level 19 is 1,128.497176, then zoom level 20 would be 564.24588, level 21 would be 282.124294 and so on? http://blogs.esri.com/esri/arcgis/2015/11/18/world-imagery-basemap-updated-with-very-high-resolution-imagery-and-additional-scale-levels/

Sometimes all you need to do is read the help menu. ESRI clearly states that if you use several of their new URL parameters, it will not save app state on close. So I simply added "&level=16" to the end of my app shortcut url (my map started at zoom level 16 before), it starts out at the default map extent like it used to, and the issue with grouped layer subordinates being un-checked also goes away. I guess I would prefer an option in the web app builder configuration page about saving app state, but for now, this workaround will do. http://doc.arcgis.com/en/web-appbuilder/manage-apps/app-url-parameters.htm
