Further testing, the issue we have relates to grouped layers in the table of contents of the Web App.  Previously we had for example, several districts that were all checked on, contained in a group layer that was checked off by default.  So if a user wants to see all the districts, they just had to check on the group.  After the November update, when the app "auto-saves" on close, the next time you open the app, the grouped layer and all its subordinates are all un-checked.  So the user who was used to just checking on the group layer, now does so and nothing happens.  They have to expand the group and check all the layers on one by one. I checked the ArcGIS.com map that controls the Web App, and group layer is un-checked and the subordinates are still all checked as they should be, and as by design before the November update. ... Thanks Cody.  I guess if the Drone2Map software will be a licensed product, then I would set my expectations a little higher, and hope you can give us something similar/better, and much cheaper than the  Pix4D software I see most people using for this workflow. ... View more

Did anyone respond if the UAV processing will be a separately licensed product, or included in your desktop subscription at no additional cost? Also, in Pix 4d you can add add ground control points visible in the images that were also shot with an RTK GPS.  Will this feature be planned for the initial release of the ESRI UAV software app? ... Hi Rich, Ideally you would have options for both, which if I recall is the case in ArcPAD where you can enter an antenna height and Geoid separation height.  I think the problem here is we are asking ESRI to make the free Collector app perform like their paid ArcPAD software.  I can see from a business perspective why ESRI would not want to make free Collector too much like paid ArcPAD.  I would gladly pay for a license of ArcPAD if it would work on my iPhone, but as far as I know, ArcPad is limited to the Windows environment.  So either make ArcPAD available on android and IOS, or make Collector do what ArcPad can do.  I guess those are the choices ESRI has to make. There is no reason to GPS with a high accuracy survey grade GPS if you can't have is store the elevation.  Can you suggest a work around then?  Are we just supposed to type in the elevation manually?  ... View more

I contacted Trimble, and our R10 is about 5 firmware versions out of date, and updating to current should fix the bluetooth connection issue. ... View more

Mark, Thanks for the info.  I have mock locations enabled.  If I use the RTX app I can bluetooth connect to the R10 and see satellites.  Oddly if I add the R10 as a bluetooth device through android first, the RTX app won't connect.  If I delete the Bluetooth pair, then open the RTX app first, it will initiate a new pairing with the R10.  I am curious if the new "add trusted device" in Android 5.0 that pops up when you make the connection is messing things up.  When i try this same procedure with the GNSS app (unpair, open app, make new pair through app), I get the popup for entering the password, but after typing in 0000, it looks like it is going to work, but then I get a failure message. I wifi connected to the R10, and logged into its ip address .  There are a lot of configuration options in there.  I am sure it is just a check box someplace that is keeping this from working. Did you setup some sort of bluetooth connection first to your R8 using Trimble Access, or did you simply just select the R8 in the Android bluetooth list and pair with it?  It doesn't make any sense that the R8 would work, but the R10 wouldn't.  I must be missing something simple. Mark, How did you connect your R8 to android bluetooth/collector?  I tried connecting our R10 to android.  It pairs in bluetooth and shows up in the Trimble GNSS status app, but it fails and gives an error message when I try to select it as the receiver in the Trimble app.  Is there some sort of configuration? Until told otherwise, or a new update, it appears Collector just is not setup to collect high accurcay GPS data, even if you can connect to a bluetooth GPS receiver.  It does not store a Z elevation even if the feature is z enabled, and it does not store PDOP, horizontal, vertical precision values typically associated with High accuracy GPS. I am hoping someone from ESRI can clarify, and or provide a status update on better support for RTK GPS in hopefully the upcoming release of Collector. ... View more
