I think the Arrow 200 by EOS is the only one that can get you survey grade with collector on ios. A client of ours just got one but we have not set it up to check against our Trimble RTK unit. http://www.eos-gnss.com/

I have a hosted feature service in ArcGIS.com added to an ArcGIS.com web map. When I tell it to create labels, the date field from my attributes is not visible as a selection choice. Can you label the date field or only text fields? Dan

I have been using the new Explorer for ArcGIS Android app on a Samsung GS5. Does anyone know if the new Explorer for ArcGIS Android app stores basemaps in a local cache, or does it redraw them every time over the internet? The same map in the Explorer app seems to draw the basemaps much slower than the same map viewed with the Collector app.

I have noticed similar behavior on very large maps. It is a lot of tiles for it to draw. Try switching your map coordinate system to Web Mercator and see if that helps. Then your map wont have to re-project the basemap tiles to your local coordinate system. i believe there is also an option for some basemaps to store them in a local cache so it will only be slow the first time it draws the image. I also tried this in chrome and IE and it wiped out the zoom scales in both, only for layers with zoom scales i had just changed or added. Those that had zoom scales from before the dec update were not affected. Zoom scales did not get wiped out for changes made to feature services hosted in arcgis.com, only those hosted on the local server.

Hi Mike, Here is a copy of the map. Although all the map services from arcgis server layers are internal ip addresses, so you wont be able to see any of the data. http://bit.ly/1z1pi2I I tried the Parcels 2014_11 layer, set zoom scales, save map, reopen map and zoom scales are gone. Dan

When I set a visibility range, then save the ArcGIS.com map, it works within the current session, but when I close out of the map and reopen it, all of the visibility ranges that I set are cleared out. Appears to mostly be arcgis server hosted dynamic map services. I also tried on old maps and brand new maps with same result. I noticed this since yesterday when the December ArcGIS.com update went through. Never had any issues before. Anyone else have this problem?

So I was trying to create a custom print geoprocessing service in ArcGIS Server that I could use with Web AppBuilder, that would give me a Map title that would wrap around and create a multi-line text if the user typed in a really long title in the print widget. So I tried the rectangle text box in my print page layout MXD, and configured it with the normal dynamic page title text <dyn type="document" property="title" emptyStr = " "/>. Sure enough, just like in data driven pages, the rectangle text box (found on the draw toolbar) allows the text to wrap around to multiple lines when printing from the Web AppBuilder print widget. Hope this helps. Dan Allen MRB Group

I created my own printing layout MXD's and created a custom print service per this method. I then configured the Web AppBuilder to use the custom print service. Everything seems to work great except the legend. I have configured several map layers in the controlling ArcGIS.com map to NOT display in the legend of the Web App when they are checked on. The custom print service does not seem to honor this. It simply shows every layer that is checked on in the WebApp at the time of printing, even though the controlling ArcGIS.com map is set to not display certain layers. Does anyone know if there is a legend setting in the MXD used to make a custom print service that would prevent all these unwanted layers that are checked on from showing in the legend? http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/index.html#/Tutorial_Publishing_additional_services_for_printing/0154000005n1000000/

I have a parcel layer in the web appbuilder with the attribute table widget enabled. If I click on a record in the attribute table, it will center the map and select the parcel geometry on the map. However, if I click on a parcel on the map first, it won't necessarily select and zoom to the corresponding record in the attribute table, unless it is one of the 25 or so records loaded in the attribute table at the time. Is this just an unsupported feature at this time? Does anyone know it this attribute table widget functionality will be expanded at the next release? Thanks, Dan

Hi Nat, The Web app builder application looks for an ArcGIS.com map. You can add your ArcGIS server layers to your ArcGIS.com map first as layers. Once you save the ArcGIS.com map, those Server layers should show up in your Application built with the Web App Builder. At least that is how i was able to do it. Dan
