@PaulHoefflerGISS I am running the latest version of ArcPro 3.x and the legend tool is still unusable in regards to resizing. If there were improvements to its functionality, I certainly do not see them. I think I might have to start making a legend in ArcMap and copying it as a screenshot graphic over to ArcPro. Its probably faster.

Hello, I have a utility crew that currently uses the Field Maps App for general underground utility map viewing, and Survey123 for manhole inspections. The same crew currently does a rain gauge reading daily at a couple fixed locations around their service area. The rain gauge readings are written down on a piece of paper, and they would like transition this process to the GIS. What is the best "super-simple" workflow to take this daily reading at several fixed rain gauge locations? I don't want to create a new feature point every day, so I am guessing some sort of relational table? Not sure how that would work with the new Field Maps smart forms or the ability to use a QR code at each rain gauge that they could scan and have it automatically bring up the data entry form? Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am used to setting up collection for point data, not tabular data, so I figured I would ask for some suggestions. Thank you

Using the website version of Survey123, I have created a custom word docx report template and uploaded it to the Survey 123 website. When I created my form, I used Arial Narrow 10pt font. I then uploaded it to Survey 123. When I create a word docx report, it comes out exactly like the template I uploaded, and everything is still Arial Narrow 10pt font. The problem arises when choose the export report to PDF option. The PDF version appears to substitute Arial Narrow 10 pt font with Calibri 11 pt font. This makes all the text bigger and completely messes up my form. Is this some kind of quirk/bug, or did I do something wrong? Thanks

I see the new beta map viewer has the ability to group layers to turn on/off multiple layers with one click. It feels like I have been waiting 7 years for this. But if you make a group in the beta viewer map, then make a WAB app from it, the groups don't show up. How long until these groups in the Beta viewer are supported in WAB?

Thanks @DougBrowning . This still seems complex for the end user, have to go back and forth between two different apps. Is there a way to have survey 123 close and go back to collector once they complete the survey?

New to Survey 123, but have been using ArcGIS Online and Collector since Day 1. I am really having a hard time grasping this Survey 123 setup. I have an existing hosted feature service (arcgis online) of about 3,000 manholes that need to be inspected with pictures and sketches. Ideally the survey123 would populate the the Facility ID number in the survey for the manhole, and take the same xy coordinates of the manhole cover that is already mapped in my feature service. What is the best way to do surveys of existing assets like this? Is see several articles about passing links from collector, and/or using related tables linked between survey and collector but the setup seems overly complicated and would require the user to go back and forth between two different apps. thanks

Last week I tried deploying the November 2020 first release of the Water Distribution Data Management for ArcGIS Online, and the Sewer Version as well. Quite a few issues: Water Had to deploy the template several times, would fail part way through. Now I have multiple folders in ArcGIS Online that have some of the template install, but I also cant delete the folders either, as it says I cant delete them, despite nothing inside them having delete protection turned on. When deploying to solution, it prompts you to pick a spatial reference. I selected NAD 83 State Plane NY West Ft, and it appeared to accept my input, however, when I download a file geodatabase of the hosted feature layers the template creates, it is still in Web Mercator. So that part does not appear to work. When I download the ArcGIS Pro Project Package that gets installed, all of the layers in the map when it opens in ArcGIS pro have the red exclamation point next to them, and I have to manually reassign them to the hosted feature layers. Sewer Template Same error as listed above for #1 Same error as listed above for #2 When I download the ArcGIS Pro Project Package that gets installed, it opens up in ArcGIS pro completely blank. Overall this looks like a great start with the templates, so hopefully these issues above can get resolved. Thanks Dan

So I was able to use the Attribute Rule Rotate Feature by Intersected Line found here: https://github.com/Esri/arcade-expressions/blob/master/attribute_rule_calculation/RotateFeatureByIntersectedLine.md I was able to get it to work, but only after downloading a copy of the Water Distribution Data Management for ArcGIS Online to a file geodatabase on my desktop. Is there a way to get this feature to work with a hosted feature layer as part of the Solution template?

Hello, I am a long time user of the water utilities model with the attribute assistant in ArcMap. I am trying out the new version called Water Distribution Data Management for ArcGIS Online with the ArcGIS Pro download to edit. My question specifically is will the ArcGIS Online version of this solution using ArcGIS Pro (standard), will some of the old attribute assistant features like Rotate Valves be available? If so, how do you use it? Thanks Dan

This is very strange, I typed out a long reply documenting what was causing this problem, and it displayed in the post, but now it it gone. Did you receive my previous reply? Possibly I deleted it when I went to edit the reply? Anyway to summarize my layer was labels only in ArcGIS.com map so I had the 100% transparency on the master level. This worked fine in ArcGIS.com hiding the symbol and just displaying the label, but did not work in field maps. So I removed the 100% transparency from the layer and instead applied it just to the symbol and this worked in Field maps. Allowing the symbol to be invisible, and just the labels to show. thanks

Hey Colin, Thank you so much for your reply, it helped me troubleshoot and figure out the cause. I think I basically uncovered an inconsistency between ArcGIS.com and field maps. In this case I wanted to give users the ability to turn on and off hydrant labels from the app. So I copied the hydrant layer, with the copy version have labels turned on, and transparency at 100% and pop-ups turned off. This works perfectly in ArcGIS.com map viewed with a desktop browser. Sounds like the master level transparency slider does not affect labels in ArcGIS.com since they still display in the map, but does affect the labels when the same map is viewed in ArcGIS field maps app. As a work around, I removed the master transparency from the hydrant copy layer, and went into the symbol itself and applied a 100% transparency. Once I did that, I can see my labels in both the ArcGIS.com map and the ArcGIS Field maps app, and still have the ability to turn off my "labels layer" in the app when field crews don't need to see the labels. Thanks Dan

Hello I have a water system map that has hydrants with a label for the hydrant ID number setup in my ArcGIS online map (hosted feature service). When I open this map with the ArcGIS Field maps app (Android version 20.2.0), the hydrant ID labels do not display. Is there a setting I need to turn on, or are labels not supported yet? Thanks
