A new web tool for the administration of branch versions is now available with the latest update of ArcGIS Experience Builder. If you’re involved with multiuser editing scenarios, then you may also be familiar with Branch Versioning. In short, Branch Versioning allows for multiuser editing that leverages a services-based architecture instead of depending on a database connection. Editing and version administration are all performed through a service published to your ArcGIS Enterprise Portal environment. To learn more about Branch Versioning, I recommend reading Peter Forister’s blog, To Branch or Not to Branch. Today, we’re not limited to just accessing data from our local desktops. We’ve gone remote and mobile, and need to access information from anywhere, at a moment’s notice. The way we interact with our data is changing significantly. Being able to view and manage the different versions of your data from any device, in any browser, aligns with today’s needs and processes. With the Branch Version Management widget in ArcGIS Experience Builder, you can now take advantage of the version management service capability in a web application. With this widget, you are able to: Switch between different versions of your data; View and change version information; Create and delete versions, and update the version owner. You are not able to: Edit the data in a version; Reconcile and post edits to the default version; Manage branch version conflicts; Preview historical moments of your data; Preview and compare differences in the data between versions. The version changes made in this widget affect data across your application, so other widgets that use the same services as a data source will also display the corresponding versions. This widget only supports branch versioned services hosted in ArcGIS Enterprise. You can add a service as a data source by providing the service REST endpoint (URL) directly in the builder. You can also add an item to your ArcGIS Online organization that references the service and use the item from your organization when adding data to your app. To learn more, check out this video:

Hi @KeithGerhartz1 , In Smart Editor you can now use a My Location Coordinates attribute action to collect your current location information when collecting data: Smart Editor widget—ArcGIS Web AppBuilder | Documentation If the My Location widget is also active in your application (and it will also work if the My Location widget is not active), it will use your browser's (device's) current location information.

Hi @MRJohnson , I looked through this issue with our developer and it looks like a recent update may have introduced an issue with older applications. We will work on fixing this moving forward. In the meantime, it appears you can fix your application with the following workaround: 1. Open your application in builder mode (Edit Application) 2. Open the Smart Editor widget configuration. 3. Go to the General Settings tab. 4. Click the Geocoder Settings button and click Validate, click OK. 5. Click OK to close the Smart Editor configuration. 6. Save your application. You should then be able to create/update features. Let me know if you encounter any other issues.

I can try to quickly debug this with you in the meantime. Please provide the following if possible: Are you using ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise (if Enterprise, which version?) When did you first observe the issue? (approx. date if possible) Are you able to provide an application link (ideally it would have to be shared publicly though) A screenshot of any console errors that may be displayed in your browser developer tools. (for most browsers, right click the browser page, select "inspect" and go to console) A screenshot of the Smart Editor widget configuration from the Layer Settings tab

Hi @MRJohnson, Thank you for reaching out with this issue. Different things could be going on here, and someone may need to look more closely at your application to understand the source of the issues you are experiencing. Please, if you have the time, would you be able to contact Esri Support to review this issue? Thank you!!

Hi @JoseSanchez, Thank you for your question. I am looking for a way to populate a field with the value "No", before the editors starts editing. In the Attribute Actions section of the Smart Editor widget configuration, you will be able to set Presets to achieve this: Preset Attribute Actions Also I would like to disable edits in this same field and predefine its value to "No". In the Smart Actions section of the Smart Editor widget configuration, you will be able to set a new expression to achieve this: Smart Actions There are some example for this functionality in this video: Get Smart About Editing - Configure a Data Collection Form

Hi @JoseSanchez , As @DavidPike has specified, you will need to setup Editor tracking at the database level before publishing your service. Editor tracking for feature services—ArcGIS Server | Documentation for ArcGIS Enterprise The editor tracking system-generated fields will not be shown as editable fields in the Smart Editor widget when you create and update features in Web AppBuilder. These will be populated automatically when the users edit features and can be viewed in the feature's pop-up which you can configure from the layer in the web map viewer.

Hi @Gabriel_David , first please make sure time is enabled against the field in your web map. If that is already the case and you still cannot see the time, please try updating the date format to a different format (dropdown shown in the screenshot above), and save web map, and refresh your app. Finally, if you still cannot see the time, please try switching that Time checkbox on and off, click OK, and save the web map again. Then go into web appbuilder and refresh the Smart Editor configuration (open the configuration for the widget and hit save). Please let me know if any of the workarounds resolved your issue.

Hi @JoseSanchez , using Smart Actions in the Smart Editor, you can setup rules but only for comparing values from fields found within the same layer/table. There is no capability to setup rules for comparing values between fields belonging to separate layers/tables.

If you enabled both these options, you may need to double-click the button. The first time disables auto-update, the second time re-enables auto-update and triggers the action update.
