Hi @Bud The Attributes Pane will show a warning like this in that scenario: And prevent the edit if Enforce Validation is checked on in Editing settings: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/change-general-editing-tool-settings.htm If you are editing in the Attributes Table it also pops up a similar warning once you attempt to move to the next record (to commit the edit): -Scott

@Matt-Goodman We actually do retain the sketch when a constraint rule is violated: Are you using ArcGIS Pro as the editing client? If so, which version? Any more details you can provide will help us get this Idea to the right team? Thanks, Scott

@jamesw it's possible using multiple steps, including Reshape. Here's a simple example: The steps are: Trace the portion of the feature you want to reshape using a temporary line Generalize that temporary line Reshape the target feature by using the Trace construction tool. One tip here is to only make the temporary line snappable because trace will only trace along snappable layers. Doing this just using Generalize is an existing Idea that we are considering: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/generalize-selected-vertices-within-line-or/idi-p/936790

@m3 I think I spoke to you at the UC about this behavior. I wonder if the CTRL key is related to this issue since CTRL is the shortcut to toggle between tracing selected and tracing all (if trace selected is ON). Thanks for reporting it with all the details. We will test this out. If a bug is logged, I'll be sure to close the loop here. FYI - another way to limit what features can be traced is to toggle snapping on or off for a particular layer in List By Snapping (Contents pane). Only snappable layers can be traced. TIP: In List by snapping, a quick way to toggle snapping for a particular layer is to right click on it and choose > "Make this the only snappable layer" Thanks, Scott

FYI @Mitch_East this might help you... We have the ability to update multiple templates at once by selecting them (SHIFT or CTRL to select multiple). In the GIF below, I also 'Group By' geometry type so it's easier to find templates from layers of specific geometry types.

If I had this task, I would use Linear Referencing tools: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/linear-referencing/an-overview-of-the-linear-referencing-toolbox.htm Something like this: Create Routes from your lines > Make Route Event Layer (the Event table is your distance values)

Summary: None of the methods of the Move To tool require you to populate all values. For example, you can move a feature in the X direction only using the Delta method. Or you can change the X and Y values, while leaving the Z value the same using the Absolute method.

@DamienPyne Regarding Move To disconnecting connected features - that was addressed at 2.9: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/2.9/help/editing/utility-network-reference-for-editing.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_3001414B609246C8B28398CFCF51D657 At 2.9, Editing tools that modify utility network features now include a Stretch Topology command a Disconnect command (for when you actually want to disconnect - otherwise leave it unchecked).

@DamienPyne Which method of the Move To tool are you referring to? There are 3 methods: Absolute, Delta, Direction/Distance. None of the methods require you to populate all values. For example, I can move a feature in the X direction only using the Delta method. Or I can change the X and Y values, while leaving the Z value the same using the Absolute method. Perhaps something else is going on with your data that is preventing you from only changing the X and Y values with the tool? Perhaps an attribute rule?

@Bud The functionality was added at 2.6. Try this: From the menu you are on, click 'Select All' to select all features in the layer. From the Attributes pane, right click on that layer's 'node' in the selection tree. Choose 'Select Only Invalid Objects' (in 2.6 this may have said 'Select Only Invalid Features'). This command will remove the features with valid attributes from the selection and leave only the features with invalid attributes selected. From there, you can correct these individually on the feature node, or in bulk if you have the layer node highlighted when updating attributes. Once you fix a few, run the command again to remove the features with valid attributes from the selection.

At 2.7, a new calendar control was added that allows navigating the calendar, as well as setting the date (including current date) by using the just keyboard. At 3.0, we improved this a bit by allowing entry into the calendar control using the keyboard. To do this: while in a date field, hit TAB to give focus to the calendar control and spacebar to open the calendar.

FYI @Bud Attributes pane editing has functionality for finding and preventing invalid attributes, including invalid domains. See these help pages for more information: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/edit-feature-attributes.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_8F13A8C397F349C9BF97D3DF2353E69F https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/change-general-editing-tool-settings.htm It sounds like your idea might be more specific to Geoprocessing, so I updated the label to reflect that.

@RichSiko Split policy might be a "read-only" property on hosted feature services (since it involves the schema). I'm not entirely sure, but that's my best guess. One suggestion would be to ask your question over on ArcGIS Online: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online/ct-p/arcgis-online Another suggestion would be to reach out to Esri Technical Support. I'm sorry I don't have a more definitive answer at this time. -Scott
