No problem @Kara_Lara if you find a consistent way to reproduce, either reply back or reach out to Esri Technical Support 🙂

Hi @Kara_Lara So far, I can't reproduce the problem in 2.9 or in 3.0. The best way to report bugs with the software is to contact Esri Technical Support. They have the ability to screen share with you, making it easier to convey (sometimes) complex workflows. This workflow sounds simple enough, but I'm obviously missing something. Perhaps if you can share a video that may also help. Thanks, Scott

Hi @wayfaringrob We haven't heard that feedback about Pro 3.0. Maybe clearing the cache or some of the other performance tips listed in this article will help? - https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-documents/troubleshooting-performance-issues-in-arcgis-pro/ta-p/1025516 One tip: only snappable layers are traceable, perhaps checking off some layers in List By Snapping in Contents pane would help? If you continue to experience performance issues with snapping, please consider sharing your workflow and some sample data that reproduces the issue with Esri Technical Support. Thanks, Scott

In the Field Mapping dialog, your source layer is 'SWP'. I can't really guess what's going wrong since I don't know the schema of the target layer 'swMain'. My best guess is the data types don't match (ex. Text vs Float)

Closing for now, until we can get a little more information to help illustrate what the requirement is (what problem it would solve), and how this feature might be implemented. We can re-open once we get that additional information. Thanks!

The Attributes Pane will show a warning like this in that scenario: And prevent the edit if Enforce Validation is checked on in Editing settings: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/change-general-editing-tool-settings.htm If you are editing in the Attribute Table (starting in 2.8) it also pops up a similar warning once you attempt to move to the next record (to commit the edit):

@Bud 2.8 is the first version where I see the error dialog we are talking about being generated from the Attribute Table. So the Map Exploration team must have added it then.

@Bud 2.6 was the release that validation was added for feature classes. 2.8 for standalone tables. If you are working with a feature class, perhaps you didn't attempt to commit the edit yet by hitting enter or navigating away from the active record?

@MedewerkerKragten You can use the Attributes Pane Layers tab: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/step-through-features-on-a-layer.htm Step through features in the pane and they are panned to. You can also hit play to automatically step through at various speeds. TIPS: The 'Display Field' (or expression) in layer properties controls what attributes are displayed in the list. The sorting matches the attributes table sorting. Hope this helps, -Scott

@m3 So far, I can't reproduce this behavior, but in researching it, I found there was as bug that was fixed in 2.8 related to 'Trace only selected features': [BUG-000136504 The 'Trace selected features only' check box option for the Trace tool is automatically checked.] It involved hitting the CTRL key to select multiple features in the Attribute Table, which inadvertently switched on 'Trace selected features only' when you revisited the map. Like I mentioned, this was fixed in 2.8 - so if you are using 2.8 and above, and you see this behavior, please provide reproducible steps to me or Esri Technical Support so a bug can be logged and tracked by other customers who contact Support. Thanks! -Scott

@AudreyMichniak Yes, this is possible with On-Screen Constraints. Please see this documentation on them: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/enable-dynamic-constraints.htm -Scott
