@JillHalchin check on this setting. Make sure it's set to "Always prompt". If that's not it, then Support can help narrow it down.

@jyh It would be better to create a new idea for your suggestion (perhaps two Ideas, one for the table and one for the pane). Regarding this statement " If I forget to save attribute edits before moving the cursor to the map, the edits are gone". That would not be expected behavior. You should not be expected to save edits after updating attributes (even with Auto Apply turned off). If you are losing edits just by activating the map (before saving), please contact Esri Technical Support so this behavior can be investigated further. Thank you! -Scott

@MaxNilsson I updated the status of that Idea to "under consideration" to better reflect the current state. We think it's a good idea and we have an issue in our backlog to enhance z editing. Feel free to add your use case to the Idea page, as it helps us to understand what your requirements are. Thanks! -Scott

It's currently not possible to interpolate z's in the way you suggest. I think it's similar to this Idea: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/provide-z-tools-similar-to-route-editing-tools/idi-p/974884

@MaxNilsson There's a way to change the z's of selected vertices while maintaining their relative positions, which is part of what you are asking for: Add the polygon layer to a local scene view. Open Edit Vertices and select the polygon. Select the vertices you want to update. Make sure Stretch Proportionately is turned off on the toolbar (this is required in order to use the H key shortcut in the next step). Hold the H key while dragging one of the vertices to the desired height (this is the shortcut to change just the height of the selected vertices) This might help you. I'm not sure. -Scott

Thanks for the info, so far, I can't reproduce. What is the data source of the points? If it's file based (FGDB, shapefile) is the data sourced on the same machine running Pro?

@cgreene Does increasing the snapping tolerance help? (Edit > snapping > snapping settings > XY tolerance. The default is 10 pixels) Are the points being projected on the fly? (Does the coordinate system of the points differ than the coordinate system of the map itself. You can see this in map properties > coordinate system page) Are you using out-of-the-box xy resolution and xy tolerance values for the coordinate system of the points? (this can be found on the layer or feature class properties) FYI this is what I mean by out-of-the-box (more info here: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-pro/analytics/geoprocessing-resolution-tolerance-and-hair/) What version of AcGIS Pro? -Scott

Hi @tigerwoulds I dug through some old emails and found where the issue I reported to the development team was tracked as [BUG-000135141 Feature templates: default values for subtypes are null in a feature service] in Esri Technical Support. Looking up that bug, I see that it was fixed in 2.8 (see this list of issues addressed here https://www.esri.com/content/dam/esrisites/en-us/media/products/arcgis-pro-issues-addressed/arcgis-pro-2-8-issues-addressed.pdf) If you are still reproducing in 2.8 and above, perhaps there is a difference in the issue you are seeing vs the original problem that was reported by @AnneSanta_Maria1 in this thread? If it is indeed the same issue, my first suggestion would be to republish the service at 2.8 or 2.9, making sure the subtypes and their default values in the templates are behaving correctly before publishing. If that's not working, my suggestion is to work with Esri Technical Support to help understand what aspect of the issue is different than the original bug. This may or may not help: one workaround for the original bug was to delete the "bad" template that gets brought down from the service and recreate it in Pro. -Scott

@Mariekevsch To add to what @JohannesLindner said... Modify tools in ArcGIS Pro that work on selected features have a built in select tool called the Active Select tool: ...that as you found out, honors the current selection combination mode. If you keep the selection mode as the default (Create a new selection), you can add to the selection by holding SHIFT and then clicking on another feature. With Modify tools, it's a best practice to use the Active Select tool on the pane instead of the core Select tool found on the ribbon. Both will work to make selections, but the Active Select tool does some additional work of automatically filtering the selection to a subset of features that are editable and work with the current tool. Then once a valid selection exists, the modify tool becomes the active tool (unlike the core select tool, which will select anything that is selectable and will not automatically enable the modify tool). More on selecting features for editing - https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/select-features-for-editing.htm Another tip that I will add: if you use the Move tool frequently, you can add it to the Quick Access Toolbar so it will be available to you without having to switch to the Editing ribbon: More on the QAT: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/get-started/quick-access-toolbar.htm -Scott

Thank you, @LStappaerts. Those look like reasonable values for resolution and tolerance. What scale are you working? How long are the segments? What do the features represent?

Hi @LStappaerts You mention that you suspect the resolution and tolerance of the feature class could be a cause, can you provide more details on what those are? Is the map in the same coordinate system? Thanks!
