Hi, This kind of issue needs to be looked at by a technical support analyst. Please open a case with them through the contact link here https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support Please provide as much details as you can about your installation as well as which projects seem to be affected. They can do a screenshare with you to investigate further. thanks, Andrew

Do you ever wonder where you can get authoritative 3D data for use in your 3D scenes? Esri now offers a solution to this problem. Over the past year, the Scene Layers and Data Content teams have been hard at work creating a global 3D dataset from Open Street Map that can be used by anyone with access to ArcGIS Online. With the June 2022 release, this dataset is now available on the Living Atlas! Bring these layers into ArcGIS Pro 3.0 (Not supported in earlier releases) or the Scene Viewer and create beautiful 3D scenes of your neighborhoods, cities, and regions. See the following blog post for more details! https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-living-atlas/mapping/new-osm-3d-scene-layers/ How to add to ArcGIS Pro 3.0 ? 1. Ensure you are connected to ArcGIS Online and it is set as your active portal. 2. In the Catalog Pane click the Portal tab and click the Living Atlas Tab. 3. Search for OpenStreetMap 3D Buildings. 4. Add the web scene or the individual scene layers to a new global scene 5. Zoom to your desired neighborhood to see the 3D content. Note: Availability of data is limited to what's in Open Street Map. If you don't see your data there feel free to add it! See the blog for more details. As this will be in beta in the next few months we will continue to enhance this dataset and bring more functionality to make this more accessible and usable in the coming releases!

Hi, This can be a result of something specific to the project that is failing during the translation process from 2.9 to 3.0. As a failsafe the project is prevented from saving. Can you send the project so we can take a look at it? thanks, Andrew

Thanks. I've sent this feedback to the documentation team. As an FYI if you submit feedback directly on the help topic it will create an issue directly with the documentation team for someone to investigate. regards, Andrew

Hi, I just tested this on my end and cannot reproduce the crash so it's likely this was fixed by the python team in the latest release. ArcGIS Pro 3.0 will be released in the next week or two. If you can still reproduce in 3.0 please enter your email in the crash report and someone from technical support will reach out to you to get a solid reproducible case. thanks, Andrew

Hi, When this happens it means the netCDF is not regularly gridded or is volumetric. You can click the warning button in the dialog to get more details. Based on the difference between these two tools it looks like the Create Space Time Cube by Defined Locations will not work because it will output an irregularly gridded dataset that cannot be used as a voxel layer. I would use the Create Space Time Cube by Aggregating Points tool instead. https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/layer-properties/voxel-layer-freqently-asked-questions.htm#anchor2 https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/layer-properties/create-a-voxel-layer.htm#GUID-6C837670-671D-4F71-A1D1-6F88F321C847 thanks, Andrew

This can be changed on the layer properties. Detailed steps can be found in link below https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/layer-properties/units-and-symbol-size.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_B2BFD97D917C4C7693F654E9DD84E155

This is not a fully supported workflow yet per the documentation below. This is only supported through creating a custom Javascript API application and is not supported in the ArcGIS Pro to Scene Viewer pipeline yet which why you are getting the unsupported coordinate system. https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/api-reference/esri-views-SceneView.html#supported-coordinate-systems Support for Mars_2000_(Sphere), GCS_Mars_2000 and GCS_Moon_2000 is experimental (see Visualize data on Mars sample). Scenes with these coordinate systems have the following limitations: No support for dynamic layers, vector tile layers and scene layers Daylight is currently not displayed correctly Unable to be saved to a portal item thanks, Andrew

This tool is not being deprecated and is likely a data specific bug. I would log a support case so that a bug can be logged and sent to the 3D Analyst team. thanks, Andrew

A new help topic regarding this will be available when ArcGIS Pro 3.0 is released. Here are steps from that topic below. It is very important to note that you need to zoom in on a small area. When you run this tool it will make a temporary raster which could be quite large depending on your extent. You can then save it permanently using the Copy Raster tool. 1. In a local or global scene, zoom in on a small area of interest. 2. In the Geoprocessing pane, search for Make Raster Layer, and set the parameters as follows: 3. Input raster—Choose Terrain 3D. 4. Output raster layer name—Specify the name of the layer. 5. Envelope—Choose Current Display Extent. 6. Click Run 7. Open Copy Raster tool > Input the raster from the previous output 8. Specify necessary output format parameters and click Run

If you already have the tree model displaying in ArcGIS Pro then it sounds like the data is in a geodatabase. If that is the cause you can follow this tutorial for how to import a geodatabase feature class into CityEngine. Any other questions on CityEngine are probably best asked in the CityEngine community. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/cityengine/latest/tutorials/tutorial-4-import-streets.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_AFD748F161754756B1E23678F994A435 thanks, Andrew

To me it looks like there are really no values to render. Looking at the range they are all essentially 0. Not sure how the netCDF was created but I would go back and take a look at that workflow to ensure there are valid values being written out. thanks, Andrew

I would recommend upgrading the scene layer to the latest I3S Version using the Upgrade Scene Layer geoprocessing tool. From there you can use the share package geoprocessing tool to share the package to ArcGIS Online. Please let me know if you run into any issues. thanks, Andrew

Hi, The issue is the Scene Viewer requires cached layers to have the same horizontal as well as vertical coordinate system. Since there is a mismatch in the vertical coordinate system the basemap is automatically dropped. To get around this you can create a projection file with Web Mercator horizontal coordinate system only. You can then place it next to the netCDF file in the file system. From there add the netCDF as a voxel layer and create a voxel scene layer and the basemaps should remain in the scene. https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/layer-properties/voxel-layer-freqently-asked-questions.htm#anchor5 As a side note, in ArcGIS Pro 3.0 (June 2022 release) the GA Layer tool is updated so this arcinfo vcs will no longer show up in the output leading to this problem that you are running into. thanks, Andrew
