Hi David, Unfortunately this tool will not produce an output suitable for a voxel layer. The last point on the tool help mentions this: The tool writes variables as Discrete Sample Geometry (DSG), such as points or trajectory, following the CF conventions. Since, this data is not gridded, the variables in the output netCDF file are not suitable for creating a voxel layer. https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/multidimension/feature-to-netcdf.htm Workflows for creating NetCDF data suitable for a voxel layer can be found here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/layer-properties/create-a-voxel-layer.htm thanks, Andrew

I would request the support analyst pull in a technical lead who can then follow up with someone on the ArcGIS Enterprise development team. This seems like a pretty rare scenario which the ArcGIS Python API may not be designed to resolve. That's why I would recommend getting an official response through the case rather than here. thanks, Andrew

For this particular issue I would recommend reaching out to technical support so they can screenshare with you and troubleshoot better over an official case https://support.esri.com/en/ thanks, Andrew

Hi, Unfortunately the clip tool is the only option for splitting an integrated mesh scene layer package. Since the integrated mesh is a cached dataset there is no attribute table as there are no attributes for the layer. Attributes is something we are looking at supporting in the long term and once we enable reading attributes they would have to be written out by 3rd party vendors too. I would keep an eye on the ArcGIS Pro roadmap for updates or feel free to log an ArcGIS Idea if you want more specific updates. thanks, Andrew

Hi Ben, I reached out to the graphics team and logged an internal issue for the team to see what can be improved. The problem at hand is the graphics engine has to render the transparent faces in real-time since it's an extruded polygon and this can lead to sorting issues. There are display options (In layer properties display tab) that were added in previous releases to attempt to handle these cases but it's not perfect for every case and unfortunately does not seem to improve much for this case. One additional thing that I did try and seemed to improve the output considerably was run the Simplify Polygon GP tool with a 1 meter simplification tolerance. This appeared to remove most of the artifacts and hopefully this is good enough for you. You can also increase the tolerance more but at a loss of granularity. If I hear any additional feedback from the graphics team i'll be sure to post back here. thanks, Andrew

Looks like the data was not consolidated with the package. Can you check the "include UNC path data" option and re-share? thanks, Andrew

Can you share the polygon layer as a layer package so I can take a deeper look on my end?

Hi, You can use the Clip geoprocessing tool to clip out portions of an integrated mesh scene layer package using a polygon feature layer. https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/analysis/clip.htm thanks, Andrew

I'd recommend converting it to a multipatch. Try running the Layer 3D to Feature Class tool and seeing how that output looks. thanks, Andrew

@BartFranken The scene layer package needs to have a DateTime field that can be read by the TimeSlider so that is why it's more of an ArcGIS Pro issue as it's authored from ArcGIS Pro. As far as the time slider is concerned i'll check with the Scene Viewer team and get back to you 🙂 thanks, Andrew

Hi, A hillshade Terrain should not be used for extracting elevation values to a point feature class. You would use the default Terrain 3D or Terrain. Please see this topic on considerations for using the Terrain 3D elevation service as input to geoprocessing tools. https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/layer-properties/use-elevation-source-layers-in-analysis.htm thanks, Andrew
