I'm trying to build a nested IIF statement in a dynamic table that will populate a field I'm using to show an image in my popup window on Portal. I agree with the original post. I don't understand why the widget doesn't have the ability to use the same locator as what is configured in the Search box. Why would I want a user to search for an address and then have to search for the address again in a separate box to see the chart? It doesn't make sense.

I want to change the field alias in a feature class in a file gdb (and eventually in SDE). The alterfield_management syntax indicates I can do this, however, I get a syntax error when I try. AlterField_management(fc, 'Sign_repai',, 'Sign Repair') It seems to not like the fact that I skipped the 3rd parameter. All of the parameters except for the first two are supposed to optional. AlterField_management (in_table, field, {new_field_name}, {new_field_alias}, {field_type}, {field_length}, {field_is_nullable}, {clear_field_alias}) If I use the existing name as the "new field name" and then set a new alias name it works. Is the documentation incorrect? Or should I be doing something else?

Provide an option in the configuration panel that does not allow a user to click execute if a spatial filter is being used AND the user does not draw a shape I have set up a query widget to ONLY use spatial filters. However, the user can open the widget and click execute without drawing any shape at all. This can slow the browser down to the point where it is not responding at all.

I set up a the query tool in the WAB for a user to draw a shape to select address points. I watched the user skip drawing the shape and just click Execute. This resulted in the application hanging because I think was trying to return every address point or at least the maximum set on the server. Is it possible to set the Execute button to not be ready until the user draws the shape?

Thanks for the further explanation. I still don't see any option to set a filter when I click on the header. In the map I set a filter In the Manager I see all of the tickets that are Open. In the configuration it doesn't matter if I check or uncheck "Apply default filters automatically". All I see when I click the header is the option to sort ascending or descending.

My Chrome browser was/is set to the recommended option to "Ask when a site tries to track your physical location". I did add this site to the exception list. Here is some sample data from the reporter app. We started testing out using these apps internally to track snow issues during events. A use case would be that during an event we have call takers in physically separate locations (a mile apart) who are taking and recording calls from the public or through the radio from staff. Being able to see what others are reporting is helpful. Especially when the public calls multiple times and gets different call takers. I've set up reporter to show the [status] problem at or near location in the list. I would like to have the option to sort it by status or problem or location. Advanced sorting on multiple fields would be helpful. Actually giving the user that option would be even better because different users look for different things.

Provide an option to change the symbol that is initially added in crowdsource reporter during the submission process. When a location is added either by typing in an address or clicking on the map the symbol that appears is an open circle with a black outline. It would be helpful if there was an option to change that symbol. When there are reference layers on the map this initial symbol is hard to see. The circle is actually not filled in even though it appears to be. The colors of the reference layer are filling it in. Zooming in shows the point more clearly.

I don't understand how a user would use filters in this app. The text below is from the panel in the configuration section. If the map had a layer set with a filter to ask for values but then the app was configured to ignore that filter, how would the user be able to set their own filter in the app? Attribute filters that that use the option to 'Ask For Values' and the time slider will be exposed in Crowdsource Manager when they have been configured on layers in the map. By default, the application will honor the initial values of these filters. If you use several of these filters, that may mean that no features are visible when your application loads. Optionally, uncheck the following parameter to choose to ignore the default filter and time slider values when the app loads. Users of the application will be able to choose the filter values they would like to apply. and let your users apply the filters as necessary. Crowdsource Manager apps will always honor static filters on your map layers.

As reports get added to a crowdsource reporter app is it possible to set the sorting type? It appears the lists sorts by most recent date/time. I would like an option where I can sort by one or more fields. For example, I would like to sort by status in the list below.

I'm trying to get the editing of reports to work in my app. I've checked the box in the configuration. I'm accessing the app through a browser on my desktop. I can submit reports but it is not obvious to me how to edit my report. I'm signing in with my AGOL account which is an enterprise account login. According to the help I should be able to have this functionality whether I'm signing on through AGOL or social media. There are other instructions on how to sign up through social media. If I don't want to use social media shouldn't I still be able to get this functionality through AGOL? Is there something else I need to do? Choose to allow users to edit and/or delete their own submissions. This functionality will only be available for reports submitted by ArcGIS or Social Media users who accessed tha pplication usign those credentials. This also requires that the application be configured to allow access to the application through these platforms, and to store a GUID associated with each account on each feature.

The online help in the Configure Pop-ups section implies this might be possible. Under Show Images, step 5 Enter the URL to the image (bold is mine) "Optionally enter the URL to an image stored on an external website, on ArcGIS Online, or as an attachment within the layer's data. PNG, JPEG, and GIF images are supported." Where would I find the URL?
