Hi Shawn – We are currently working to diagnose an issue where some compatible devices cannot install Collector from Google Play. If your device meets the minimum requirements, you are likely affected by this issue. In the meantime, you can access Collector from the following location: http://appsforms.esri.com/products/download/index.cfm?fuseaction=download.main&downloadid=2085 Once you have downloaded the setup you can transfer and install on your device. Here is a technical article about it, as well: https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000017298.

Gotcha. Currently, Explorer only works with MMPKs offline (it doesn't download web maps from ArcGIS Online and use those offline like Collector does). And ArcMap can't create MMPKs. For Navigator, your ArcGIS Online account needs a license to use the app (see What are the requirements?—Navigator for ArcGIS | ArcGIS). If you'd like help understanding why the map isn't working in Collector, I'd need more information about what you are seeing there.

Hi Randy -- For remote, offline use Explorer works with mobile map packages (MMPKs) that are authored in ArcGIS Pro. Once it is authored and shared (through ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, or sideloading directly onto the device), you'll be able to download and use the map in Explorer. Here is the help doc on making offline maps: Make offline maps—Explorer for ArcGIS | ArcGIS There are also some good blog resources, summarized and explained here: https://community.esri.com/groups/explorer-for-arcgis/blog/2018/01/22/make-an-offline-map-with-arcgis-pro-21

Hi Matt -- Yes, searching your layers in supported in Explorer. Since you mentioned enabling it for in Portal, I am going to assume you are working connected (online). If this is wrong, just let me know. See some info here, in a tip about supporting feature search: Make online maps—Explorer for ArcGIS | ArcGIS. When you say you enabled it in Portal, are these the steps you took: Configure feature search—Portal for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Enterprise?

Seeing DGPS is a good thing -- that means SBAS (corrections) are being used, which does improve your accuracy.

My apologies -- I left out part of my reply that might have made it more clear! I had meant to clarify that you can share with either ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise using the Share package tool -- the one that is used depends on the account with which you are signed into ArcGIS Pro. Or you can log into your organization's portal (either ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise) and upload the MMPK file to it. So to share it internally, use your ArcGIS Enterprise instead of ArcGIS Online when using the Share tool. You do need to use your ArcGIS organization (either on ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise): Explorer accesses MMPKs through ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online (or through sideloading directly to the device).

Hi Devon -- The Bad Elf Pro doesn't support GST, so with that device, you will see that message. It's more an information message than an error: there isn't something you do to change it, other than using a different device. As for the accuracy you are seeing, I'd say that's probably normal. If you look at the device specifications (Bad Elf GPS Pro) you'll see it offers up to 2.5m of accuracy. One thing to check is if you have a DGPS fix (as opposed to GPS). The device does support SBAS, which automatically corrects the positions you are getting. It depends if SBAS satellites are visible for you. Compared to the internal GPS of the phone, you'll get 2.5m accuracy more consistently with this device than the phone. The phone is often (with clear skies) about 5m accuracy. If you have questions about this I'd recommend reaching out to Bad Elf. A location profile is not going to change things for you: those are used if you have different coordinate systems between your positions and you map (for example, if there is a correction service).

Ahh sorry, I saw this in your post and thought you knew how to get an MMPK to ArcGIS Online: I've successfully shared a .mmpk to AGO where users have been able to download it via Explorer for ArcGIS for offline use. Take a look at the help on making offline maps (Make offline maps—Explorer for ArcGIS | ArcGIS ) -- it includes a discussion about sharing (using the Pro geoprocessing tool "Share package" or by logging in and uploading the mmpk).

Hi Devon -- are you looking for information about what that message means, or why the display name for your receiver is different than you expect in Collector? For the message, it means Collector isn't receiving a GST sentence in the NMEA but is receiving a GSA sentence. In this scenario, Collector estimates accuracy using horizontal dilution of precision (HDOP) and vertical dilution of precision (VDOP). The estimated horizontal accuracy is calculated by multiplying HDOP by 4.7, and the estimated vertical accuracy is calculated by multiplying VDOP by 4.7. For the display name, Collector displays the manufacturer and the serial number of the device. This is limited by the information that we have available to use to identify the device. I tested with a Bad Elf GPS Pro and I see the same thing you do -- that must be the manufacturer of the device.

Are you using an ArcGIS organization on your enterprise server (aka do you use Portal for ArcGIS as part of your ArcGIS Enterprise setup)? If so, yes, you can host the mmpk by adding it as an item and downloading it in Explorer. You'll share it just like you do with other content, or in ArcGIS Online. Here is info on sharing: Share items—Portal for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Enterprise

Hi Weng, Could you give a bit more detail on this: > Following the example previously, say if I want 3 copies of the same layers, I will need to create 3 views and add them into my map. As I update layer 1, layer 2 and 3 does not update accordingly as it doesn't recognise that all 3 layers are from the same layer. So in offline mode, the relationships are not really recognised . However , if I ignore the fact that filters are not supported and went ahead and just made a copy of the layer and bring it offline , the layers dynamically updates in offline mode as it knows it is the same layer. Are you updating layer 1 in Collector, and not seeing the change in layer 2 or layer 3 also in Collector? Do you have a refresh interval set on layers 2 and 3 in your map? To see if you have a refresh interval, open your map in Map Viewer in the browser, click More Options and choose Refresh Interval. In this image, there is no refresh interval set. If set, it would have a checkmark and a value for how often to refresh.
