Thank you for confirming @RoseAmy https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/arcgis-pro-upgrade-tool-allows-user-to-pick-what/idc-p/1588534/highlight/true#M33917 @RTPL_AU the problem we were solving was for organizations who have reasons to not be on the most current version to be able to still receive patch updates for their non-current version. The UpdateTargetVersion can be set as explained here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/get-started/update-arcgis-pro.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_1502232C3E1B4C32A980B0B89ADCA1FB For your question about being on 3.4 and setting the target version to something like 3.7, yes, that will work, but note that once a version later than 3.4 is released, you would get notifications for the then-current version... If the intent were to get update notification for 3.4 even though a newer version is available, you would set TargetUpdateVersion to 3.4.

@Sian_Doherty_GHD and @AlfredBaldenweck This is from ArcGIS Pro 3.4.2 showing the linked cursor display in a Stereo map, global scene and local scene: Note that how the linked cursor shows up in a stereo map versus the Cursor setting for the stereo map itself are different things: Based on the first image above, I don't see a situation where the linked cursor isn't displaying and we don't know of any regression. If you have a reproducible case of the cursor not displaying as expected, that should be reported to tech support.

@RoseAmy From your description, it sounds like your organization is pinned to a specific version of ArcGIS Pro due to various reasons, including 3rd party integrations. This is a common scenario. As Tim pointed out in the first comment, we added the ability for admins to set a target update version to address this need. However, the capability was added in ArcGIS Pro 3.4, so that is the version that organizations will need to get to to begin taking advantage of the functionality. As an example, once you're on 3.4, or any version after that, and you get your integrations, add-ins, etc. all set up on that version and decide you will stay there for a couple of years, the admin can set that as the target version and users will no longer receive update notifications for later, current versions. Update notifications will be for patches to your target version. Will that address your idea? Thank you

Thanks @AlfredBaldenweck I updated the title and the intro wording to the request. If you do find where/how it was available in ArcMap, do let us know. I can't find it.

@AlfredBaldenweck since this is being reported as an ArcMap equivalency request, can you share what command or workflow your user is using in ArcMap. I've poked around a bit and haven't found a "pan to layer" command (and its entirely possible I could just be missing it, so please help! :)) Thanks

Hi @Bud As you're aware, there are update notifications built into ArcGIS Pro. By default, those updates are for the latest ArcGIS Pro release and patches, and starting with ArcGIS Pro 3.4 it is possible to set an "UpdateTargetVersion". See Update ArcGIS Pro—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation I understand that you're asking for email notifications outside of ArcGIS Pro - so this is not necessarily an ArcGIS Pro idea. I'll point you here as something that is on the radar, but still is functionality that would need to be implemented on the Support site. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/arcgis-pro-rss-update-notifications-for-it/idi-p/1139501 Also, see https://community.esri.com/t5/esri-technical-support-documents/receive-arcgis-patch-notifications-in-the-esri/ta-p/1216483 as it is possible to subscribe to notifications through the support app, just not on the website at this time. Thanks

@AJFerrand1 Can you explain some more about the use case? What is the end "product" of the Pro projects? Is it a layout that is printed/exported to PDF? Is that shared to others who need information to make decisions? Are there web maps that are published from it? My understanding is that GIS staff still need access to sensitive projects like this, but those same staff should not be able to see server names? What other information about these projects should be restricted to some users? Is it possible to store the projects in a file share and control who can access to the share? Or do you have a requirement for Pro users to access the project how - like a view-only mode? What are your expectations about what those users should be able to do vs. what they shouldn't be able to do?

Thank you for your efforts to help others in their migration efforts to ArcGIS Pro @LindsayRaabe_FPCWA ! For the sake of sharing with the community, I wanted to point to https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-pro/data-management/migrating-data-tools-to-migrate-a-personal-gdb-to-a-file-or-mobile-geodatabase/ The ArcGIS Pro geodatabase team put together a sample tool that does what you're talking about here. Just adding in case it is of interest to anyone who discovers this thread because they are looking for migration solutions.

@philnagel it looks like you found https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/remember-active-portal-as-part-of-arcgis-pro/idi-p/1215186 and added your kudos. Just noting it here so that other community members can find the open idea to add their kudos and use cases. Thank you.

The ArcGIS Pro 3.4.1 and 3.4.2 patches are available to download from My Esri as well as through the software update in Pro (if enabled). To get the latest fixes, please install both patches. For a list of issues addressed you can review the Release Notes for ArcGIS Pro 3.4 Note: ArcGIS Pro 3.4 and ArcGIS Pro 3.4 Patch 1 (3.4.1) must be installed prior to installing subsequent ArcGIS Pro 3.4 patches. Here is additional information about Minor Releases and Patches.

@Bud Also, the documentation doesn't specify that Classify only works on grayscale. Could the docs be enhanced to include this information? https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/imagery/symbology-pane.htm For feedback that is entirely related to improving documentation, you can always use the Feedback on this topic? link available on all help pages.

As @RTPL_AU noted, we think we have identified the issue and are looking into a way to cache the info needed and only re-cache when necessary (like if you change your active portal during a session).

Closing the loop on this one - thank you for sending your data @GISMapLady As I shared in our email thread, for some specific layout text examples with specific rotation applied, the Compatibility Mode option needs to be refined. Turning that off for the problematic text elements should resolve the issue and the development team will create an issue to improve the behavior. Thank you.
